As Xu Feng rejected the goodwill of Zhao Kai, the latter was somewhat displeased as he shoveled one of the staff into his hand.
"Listen, you might not be eligible to equip it yet, but what's the harm in having a backup for later?" Zhao Kai scolded.
And with a fierce glare, he continued, "Also, just like what Blacksmith Fiona said. You can lend the equipment to someone who might need it for a fee. The contract here is absolute, so you don't have to worry about the other party reneging their words."

As if an explosion had just occurred in Xu Feng's mind, he was astonished by Zhao Kai's words.
What he just said wasn't nonsense, but something that made complete sense.
"Right… who said we must sell weapons or armor to others? We can simply lend it out for a fee." He mumbled softly.
He turned to look at Zhao Kai in a new light. "How did you even think of that, you filthy genius!"
Zhao Kai shrugged his shoulders, "I've merely learned this from someone. Compared to her, I'm not that much of a genius since she's even more ruthless and devious than me when it comes to business strategy."
Nodding his head, Xu Feng didn't plan on prying further as he could sense it was not a topic that Zhao Kai wanted to discuss.
"Well, I guess it's not bad to collect them temporarily, but I'll only borrow two while you use my other quota to choose four." Xu Feng said, wanting Zhao Kai to have a bit more leverage in choosing the equipment.
After all, he was the only one among them eligible to actually equip them.
Additionally, Zhao Kai was going to be the main damage dealer for the mission requested by Fiona.
Zhao Kai didn't argue with Xu Feng and readily agreed to his suggestion, clearly understanding the latter's thought process. Not to mention, he had indeed spotted quite a few equipment to his liking but was worried about the quota in picking.
"Right, once you're done choosing, we're going to discuss your skills upgrade now that you're level 5." Xu Feng informed, grabbing another armor and placing it in his inventory.
Zhao Kai merely gave an "okay" hand sign as he immersed himself in the equipment laid on the shelf.
Knowing that he was probably going to take a while, Xu Feng promptly exited the storage room, not bothering Fiona at all.
There was no need to explain to her since she could clearly sense the surroundings.
Only a fool would truly think Fiona was completely occupied in the forging and remained clueless about her surroundings.
In fact, her perception was very high, so even if one made next to little noise, she could perceive them clearly. Thus, Zhao Kai shot himself in the foot by interrupting her when she had already sensed him long ago when the two of them entered the shop.

Gentle Wind might indeed find a way to fight the Inferno Tyrant thanks to the recording and his strategy, but the pretext was that she could reach the boss area.
