“Let’s proceed,” Dave declared, a sense of determination in his voice. Xegron faithfully followed him as they stepped into the portal that transported them to the next level of the tower.
Dave decided to give Xegron the opportunity to showcase his full capabilities in battle. They had reached the 52nd level of the Tower of Trials, which proved to be more challenging than the previous level. Their objective was to eradicate hundreds of thousands of rats, each at the peak of the Golden Body level.
As the rats swarmed towards them, Xegron unleashed his brute force, delivering powerful punches that turned the rodents into mere meat paste. With every strike, thousands of rats perished, their life forces snuffed out within seconds. Xegron’s speed and strength were astonishing, and Dave struggled to keep up with his relentless movements.
Xegron was determined to impress his liege, so he pushed himself to the limit. With each passing moment, his efficiency increased, and the number of slain rats grew exponentially. His fists moved with lightning speed, obliterating wave after wave of the relentless rodents.
Driven by a desire to prove his worth, Xegron opened his mouth wide, intending to devour the rats. However, to his surprise, he realized that despite his impressive kill count, his body remained unchanged. He absorbed no energy from the slain creatures.
Dave approached him, understanding Xegron’s confusion. He explained, “These rats are not living beings, Xegron. They are merely holograms, illusions created by the tower. You don’t need to absorb their energy or enhance your strength. Simply focus on eliminating them in the fastest way possible.”
Xegron nodded, comprehension dawning upon him. He adjusted his strategy, abandoning the attempt to absorb energy and instead concentrated on dispatching the holographic rats with even greater speed and efficiency. The rats fell like dominos before his unstoppable might, reduced to digital simulations crumbling under his powerful strikes.
Dave watched in awe as Xegron decimated the holographic army, his movements becoming a blur. The sheer force and precision with which he exterminated the rats left no doubt of his immense power and skill. Xegron’s loyalty and dedication to impress his liege were undeniable.
In the end, the last holographic rat fell, and silence descended upon the battlefield. Xegron stood amidst the carnage, his chest heaving with exertion. Dave approached him, a proud smile on his face.
“Xegron, you have proven yourself to be an exceptional warrior. Your strength and speed are superb. ” Dave commended, admiration evident in his voice.
Xegron bowed respectfully, gratitude shining in his eyes. “Thank you, my liege. I will continue to serve you faithfully, always giving my best in battle.”
Dave placed a hand on Xegron’s shoulder, conveying his appreciation. “I have no doubt, Xegron. Together, we shall conquer even greater challenges that lie ahead.”

Just like that, Dave continued to challenge each level of the tower, realizing that as long as he completed the challenge within 5 minutes, he would maintain his S grade. So he maintained that pace, not rushing through the levels, but using them as a training ground to practice and improve his skills.
After three days in the tower, Dave had reached level 70. Despite his strength, he still found it challenging to eliminate hundreds of thousands of Imperial Saints within the time limit. He refused to move on to the next level until he achieved the coveted S grade.

Dave attempted to use his Heavenly Ice Fragment, which he could now control to some extent, but he was shocked to see the terrifying ice melt before the primordial flame. He failed to defeat the spirit within 5 minutes, so he continued to challenge it for a day, employing various tactics until he finally emerged victorious.
Upon subduing the Fire Spirit, Dave’s reward from the tower was the Fire Spirit boss itself. Although the spirit became loyal to him and enjoyed being around Dave, it remained pretentious and arrogant, even in the presence of Xegron. To manage its behavior, Dave temporarily sealed the spirit’s mouth, as it had the ability to anger anyone just by speaking. Dave discovered that the Fire Spirit was one of the four primordial flames, created at the same time as the universe. Each of the primordial flames developed its own consciousness and possessed a unique personality. The four primordial flames were the Star Devouring Flames (Gold), Chaos Flame (Purple), Abyssal Flame (Black), and Holy Flame (Red). The Fire Spirit’s memories were fuzzy and unclear about why it was in the tower, but it knew that the Abyssal Flame resided in the Abyss, and the Holy Flame was located in the Holy Church, within the domain of the Goddess of Light.
The Fire Spirit claimed to be the kindest of the primordial flames, prompting Dave to beat it again. It then revealed that it was the Star Devouring Flames, capable of devouring star energies. Dave also realized that Ronin possessed a primordial flame that was black in color, indicating Ronin’s formidable strength to gain recognition from such arrogant flames.
Deciding to give the Star Devouring Flame a name, Dave called it Flamy, much to the flame’s anger. However, Flamy’s protests were futile as Dave subdued it once more. Dave also inquired about the Heavenly Ice, and Flamy explained that if the Heavenly Ice Fragment was completed, it could rival one of the Primordial Fires in power.
With the assistance of Xegron and the bothersome Flamy, Dave effortlessly bypassed the subsequent levels and reached level 70. Flamy had reached the level of Imperial Saint when unsealed by the tower, allowing it to command thousands of fire spirits to devour the creatures they needed to eradicate. Flamy could also convert anything it devoured into its own energy, essentially functioning as an energy generator like Xegron. However, they couldn’t utilize this energy because the enemies they faced were mere holograms.
Between levels 61 and 69, Dave acquired more law orbs, increasing his collection to a total of 29. He was delighted with this progress. He knew that level 70 was the boss room, and in level 69, he had faced thousands of Imperial Saints similar to his level. Without the aid of Flamy and Xegron, he might not have been able to defeat them within the 5-minute time limit.
Wanting to be fully prepared, Dave decided to upgrade his laws to perfection
