He calculated that he would only need 18 blank law orbs to accomplish the mission, but the challenge lied in learning new laws while his Ancestral Eyes were still on cooldown.
For now, Dave decided to put that issue aside and focused on preparing for the upcoming intense battle. He urged Flamy and Xegron to be ready.
“Let’s go. The enemy will undoubtedly be strong,” Dave reminded them, receiving a nod from Xegron while Flamy sneered confidently.
“Heh, even if the enemy is powerful, my flames will extinguish them easily,” Flamy boasted. However, his arrogance was swiftly met with a punch to the head from Dave, showing his slight irritation.
“Hmph, it’s better for you to take this seriously, or I’ll feed you to Xegron,” Dave warned. Flamy felt a shiver down his spine, knowing deep within his soul that if he disobeyed his master’s command, Dave could compel him to kill himself or prevent him from fighting back if Xegron desired to devour him.
Though Flamy was immortal, the thought of being devoured by Xegron was terrifying. He believed that no one could consume him.

Dave also noticed the title associated with the old man and blurted out in shock, “Alchemy Emperor.” Even Flamy, upon seeing the old man, was frightened.
“Holy shit! That old man, how the hell is he here?” Flamy exclaimed, visibly shaken. Dave looked at Flamy with a questioning gaze, prompting an explanation from the fire spirit.
“Master, that old man is the Alchemy Emperor of the high elven race. He may not be strong personally, but in his prime, he commanded a vast army of pill cultivators capable of battling many immortals. I’m not sure why his strength seems weakened now, but he once captured me to refine pills until I escaped during a confrontation with the Demon King of Envy,” Flamy revealed.
“I heard he died, but I didn’t expect him to be alive and imprisoned here,” Flamy added, unaware that he himself had also been locked up previously. All he knew was that he appeared before Dave, with their souls connected as master and servant.
Dave’s expression turned serious as he realized that this old man must possess numerous tricks up his sleeve.
The Alchemy Emperor’s gaze was fixed on Flamy. “Hehe, what a splendid flame. You shall be mine,” the old man declared, waving his hand as thousands of pills floated in the air. He pointed towards Dave and his companions.
