24 days have passed since Kent started practicing the sword mind technique using the 10,002 swordplays now imbued inside the sword of enlightenment.
He had seen tremendous changes, and it was all thanks to his past memories as Jest.
He had already mastered 340 out of the 10,002, which has changed everything about him. In fact, his current state is different from that of 24 days ago.
First, Jest was someone who started by swinging his sword like any novice swordsman. He started out like a rat and managed to rise to the level of a dog.
This means he had accumulated enough experience that Kent was now learning from. That was why he received the memories in the first place.
However, the past 24 days weren’t about him learning the 10,002 swordplays.
No.
He was after something else; it was all about the experience and mastery down to the root. In a way, he went back to the novice level and filled all the gaps he had in his understanding of the sword.
He corrected some mistakes he made, and from the sword knowledge he has and the ones now in his mind, he was able to make great strides.
Now, he is firm and solid in the belief that if he were to face the new and improved Saintess, he could still hold his own for a few hours before losing.
He wasn’t about to get cocky. The Saintess has become a monster.
Right now, he was determined to defeat her in combat at full strength, so he wasn’t about to think he could take her on in his current state.
But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t become stronger. It’s quite the opposite, actually. Just 27 years of memory were enough to help him understand quite a lot.
He saw Jest lose a couple of times, so he knew from experience there were just some powers he wouldn’t be able to overcome.
But that was if it was all about the sword.
And now, he is all about the sword.
The next memory will be when he starts to build a path the first sword path. For some reason, he wanted to learn more before that day.
Something keeps telling him that being ahead now will tremendously affect him in all the right ways as he ascends to the Saint Sword stage.
So he was now deep in his meditation, which made his sword intent and aura grow stronger by the day. If anyone who hadn’t reached the Sword Saint stage were to come within 30 meters of him, they would be cut into countless pieces.
Just the Sword Qi alone has grown to a terrifying stage.
And the strange part—if it were to be measured, he would still be at the 5th level of the enhanced sword qi Stage. In a way, his sword intent and Qi are growing, but their ranks are not increasing.
Now, that is something one must fear.
All swordsmen can, in a way, gauge the grade of intent and Qi in their opponents. This helps them know how much effort they need to put into their attacks and defence.
But what if the person is like Kent, whose level 5 Enhanced intent should be something akin to a 7/9 intent? That is where the understanding of the sword comes into play, and now, Jest has come back to help him.
He is growing, and the universe is watching…
The tale started when the universe formed.
That is called the Awakening.
But there will be destruction, and that will be the end. It was said that the known universe and the Annihilation universe would battle.
Obviously, the one who lost the battle would be annihilated.
Kent was now chosen as the favoured son of the universe. This means he was the one the universe would count on. That also means he was someone favored by the Universe.
This means the Dao of the sword and all other Dao favor him.
But the path he must traverse wouldn’t be simple—Kent was bound to rise, but the process wouldn’t exactly be a walk in the park.

Meanwhile, on the outside, things are not looking good for the Miller and Malric families. News somehow found its way out, making everyone aware of the sudden death of two noble heirs.
This came as a shock to everyone. They just couldn’t understand why two heirs were suddenly killed. It was as if the events that started in Caprath City had now reached this family.
Everything turned chaotic since the two families declared they would stop at nothing to catch the perpetrators of this attack.
But that wasn’t the most pressing matter. The most harrowing situation was the news circulating that a mere Inner Disciple of the Divine Palace Sect had threatened the Wicked Poison Witch.
Somehow, news found its way out there. Now, everyone began to wonder just who was bold enough to threaten a whole Pill Saint.
Obviously, those trying to suck up to the Pill Saint started storming the entrance to the sect.
Well, they tried at first, but after the Sword Gate Master severed a few heads, they retreated and camped out 2 km from the main gate.
Some also started painting the sect in a bad light, saying all kinds of things about them. They all want to curry favor with the Pill Saint.
However, while the blockheads were doing the blockheaded things, some started asking logical and sound questions.
“If this was true, why is the Divine Palace Sect still standing?”
They all know what the Wicked Poison Witch is capable of. So, if what people were spreading about her being threatened by a mere Inner Disciple was true, then how the hell is the sect still standing?
Obviously, something doesn’t add up. The Wicked Poison witch isn’t that generous. She wouldn’t hesitate to poison the entire sect of she had to…
But as to what really happened, or even if this was indeed true, no one can prove it. There was no video evidence to back the claims, so they said they were all baseless accusations.
But that was to be assumed—for now.
Kent hadn’t come out yet. His master is currently cultivating inside the [Yin Pool]. The Spear Saintess also hasn’t returned yet.
So, in a way, things are now being handled by the now-energetic Gate Master, who just doesn’t know how to feel about Kent.
One time, Kent was causing all kinds of trouble, and all she could think of was only wanting to kill him for good.
The next, he was helping her calm her fatigue and gain energy that she never knew was possible, simply from drinking a bottle of wine Kent gave her.
He was like the cat who steals your meat but also guards your house against the mice. You just cannot kill him despite his troubles.
But then again, destiny has a funny way of playing ball.
Her sister was once a Night Rider, and now, she is being summoned to ride again. This means what she had been chasing for years is almost at hand.
What’s left is whether she can wholeheartedly trust Kent… to save her sister, who is slowly losing hope inside the cage the sect master placed her in many years ago.
