The ground trembled, and cracks split the earth as skeletal hands clawed their way to the surface.

From the depths emerged a tide of bone and shadow: over eighty skeletons, thirteen towering grand skeletons, four bony knights clad in ancient armor, and three spectral wraiths that seemed to waver between this world and the next.
The air grew heavy with dread as they turned their glowing eyes toward the walls of [Overlord City], sensing their master’s intent.
“What the hell are these things?!” one of the defenders shouted in panic.
“They’re monsters! Kill them!”
The defenders’ cries turned to chaos as they scrambled to deal with the emerging horde.
But Alex didn’t let his undead move without clear orders.
“Attack the monsters and defenders,” he commanded. “Ignore the attackers, even if they hit you. We need them.”
The undead seemed to nod in understanding, their movements precise and synchronized as they turned toward the battlefield.
“Now go do your job,” Alex said with a smirk.
With his command, the undead surged forward, a tide of death crashing against the defenders.
The skeletons charged first, their rusted swords and jagged spears cutting through players and monsters alike.
The defenders tried to mount a resistance, but it was futile.
Dozens fell with every clash, their health bars depleting before they could even react.
The Grand Skeletons followed, their massive weapons cleaving through multiple enemies with a single swing.
Each step they took sent tremors through the ground, their strength overwhelming even the most prepared defenders.

Using their shields to block incoming attacks, they struck down anyone who got too close.
They were immovable walls of bone and steel, protecting the rest of the army.
The Spectral Wraiths were the most terrifying of all.
Their ghostly forms slipped past enemy lines with unnatural speed, their claws slashing throats and piercing hearts before anyone realized they were there.
“GUIDE ME TO THE WALLS!” Alex shouted, his voice echoing over the battlefield.
The undead adjusted their formation, creating a clear path for Alex as they pushed deeper into enemy lines. Nothing could stop their advance.
For Alex, managing this on his own would have been near impossible.
His powerful spells had cooldowns, and even he couldn’t be everywhere at once.
But his undead, numerous and efficient, filled the gaps perfectly.
As they advanced, their devastating power caught the attention of a guild stationed nearby.
A sudden rally came from the defenders as a group of 300 players from the [Madmen Guild] stepped forward.
“Those undead are nothing to us!” their leader bellowed, stepping to the front. Clad in full-body armor, he radiated confidence as he raised his sword.
“My talents and skills will block them!”

With this powerful defensive talent, the leader believed he could hold back the undead tide.
But his confidence was misplaced.
As the skeletons surged forward, his companions quickly fell.
The undead cut through them like paper, their weapons relentless and precise.
The Grand Skeletons smashed their way through the defenders’ shields, while the Wraiths darted around, targeting weak points with surgical precision.
Despite his [Impenetrable Body], the leader found himself surrounded.
The Bony Knights and Wraiths attacked him from all sides, their claws and weapons hammering away at his defenses.
For a moment, he held strong, his talent absorbing the blows.
But as the attacks continued, his armor began to crack, and his health bar started to drop.
The Grand Skeletons joined the fray, their massive swords slamming into him with earth-shaking force.
“No… This can’t be-“
Before he could finish his sentence, a Bony Knight’s shield struck his head, sending his avatar shattering into fragments of light.
Within minutes, the Madmen Guild’s ranks had been decimated.
Alex continued his march, his undead clearing the way.
In the chaos, he took note of the effectiveness of his undead army.
While the standard skeletons adapted to his stats, the Grand Skeletons had fixed stats that, while strong, were not enough to keep them alive indefinitely.

Alex summoned replacements, obviously, but it was interesting to see they were the only type of undead getting taken out.
Though they did have a special ability that made them different from the rest though: the fact that Alex could give them weapons he extracted from monsters.
‘Maybe I should find them weapons with unique skills,’ he thought, considering the possibilities.
Weapons with special perks and unique skills, like Aurelia’s [Free Control Daggers] or Alice’s [Divine Requiem of the Frost Angel], could potentially turn his army into an unstoppable force.
He also wanted to unlock the ability to give weapons to his regular skeletons, imagining how devastating it would be to have [Mage Skeletons] or [Assassin Skeletons] in his ranks.
For now, the undead were enough to ensure that neither Alex nor his allies faced any danger.
He ordered a bony knight to stand guard in front of Alice and Aurelia, its massive shield deflecting every attack that came their way.
“FateBreaker?!”
“Run back into the city! He has an army with him!”
“What are those things?!”
The defenders fell into despair as Alex drew closer to the breached wall, only a few meters away.
In contrast, the attackers cheered, emboldened by his presence. Even the monsters seemed to hesitate, sensing the futility of facing the overwhelming force.
At this point, one thought united everyone: “Let FateBreaker handle it. He’s the strongest.”

Deep within the heart of Overlord City, Daniel, Dawn, and Viktor monitored the chaos from their makeshift command center.
Panels displayed live feeds of the battle, including the advancing undead army.
The altar was just behind them, heavily guarded by hundreds of players.
With reinforcements ready to emerge at a moment’s notice. Victory should have been assured.
And yet…
“FATEBREAKER!” Daniel growled, slamming his fist against the table. His eyes burned with frustration as he watched the skeletal army decimate their forces.
“Calm down,” Dawn muttered, though his confidence wavered as he saw the efficiency of the undead. “He only has five and a half hours left. There’s no way he can get through all of this.”
Still, doubt crept into his mind as he watched the undead in action.
The skeletons, despite their basic appearance, effortlessly tore through players, their attacks precise and devastating.
The bony knights used their shields as both weapons and impenetrable barriers, while the spectral wraiths moved too quickly to be countered.
“I’ll inform the other families,” Viktor said, opening his status window. “They need to see this. We can’t let him win.”

Back at the city walls, Alex continued his advance, accompanied by Alice and Aurelia.
Alice loosed a relentless barrage of arrows, each one striking true, while Aurelia’s dagger danced through the air, cutting down enemies from a distance.
The battlefield was in complete disarray when a notification rang out.

Cheers erupted from the attackers as the notification spread, while the defenders braced themselves for the inevitable confrontation.
For Alex, it was just another step toward his goal.
The undead army surged forward, carving a path through the city streets and killing all the assassins that had been tasked in killing those that got close.
The defenders scrambled to regroup, but their efforts were in vain. Alex’s forces were unstoppable, and with every step he took, the altar drew closer.
