A sound of popping notifications entered Leon’s head.

He slowly opened his eyes and noticed multiple transparent screens appearing in front of him.

“…What in the fucking… world?” Leon muttered, confused, as he turned around.
Squeaaak!
Hearing the desperate squeaks, he immediately looked toward the trap. His eyes widened as he saw the hole was still open—and filled with horned rabbits.
“Oh shit…”
Leon rushed forward and peered down into the pit. Inside, three horned rabbits lay impaled and lifeless, their bodies pierced by the sharp wooden stakes. But one rabbit was still alive, writhing in pain, its right leg injured and one of the stake was stuck in it.
“The best I was hoping for was just one rabbit, but look at this… God is really great.”
A sinister grin formed on Leon’s face as he picked up another sharpened branch from the side. He then pointed the tip toward the rabbit’s neck.
Squeaaa—
Stab!
Thud!
Before the creature could finish its cry for help, Leon delivered a clean, precise stab, ending its life instantly.

As soon as the last rabbit died, the trap reset itself.
“Good thing I worked at that butcher shop… even if it was just because of the sexy MILF owner,” Leon chuckled, kneeling beside the bodies. “At least I know how to gut an animal properly.”

A smirk formed on his lips as he picked up one of the venomous horns.

The horn disappeared from his hand.
“I see… so I have to touch the object and say ‘Store’ to put it in my inventory.”
Leon raised an eyebrow. “But how do I withdraw-”
Suddenly a semi-transparent screen appeared before him.
On it, there were five slots, with two already filled—one with a knife image, the other with a horn image.
“Nice.”
Leon tapped on the knife’s icon.
Swish!
The knife instantly reappeared in his hand.
“Haha… this is goo—”
Suddenly, Leon’s eyes widened as a realization struck him.
‘Wait… I just used the skill twice—but there was no cooldown?’
His breath quickened.
“Store.”

The knife disappeared again.
“Withdraw.”
The screen appeared once again and Leon clicked on the knife image once again.

The knife reappeared in his hand.
“…Wait, what? This isn’t supposed to happen.”
Leon quickly opened the skill description.

The inventory screen popped up again. This time, four out of the five boxes were filled.
Leon clicked on the knife.

It reappeared in his hand.

The knife vanished once more.
“Okay… Now, time for judgement.”
He touched the rabbit fur.
“Store.”

It disappeared.
“Withdraw.”
….Nothing happened.

Leon’s lips curled into an evil grin.
“So that means my suspicion was right… As long as the inventory isn’t full, I can keep using it without triggering the cooldown.
