“It’s the farmer’s son from Flashgold Town, Rein,” Baron Norman said in a deep voice.
“What, that lowlife Rein has already become a Transcendent and is now a formal knight?”
Upon hearing this news from his father, Dennis was incredibly shocked, his eyes bulging out and his mouth gaping wide enough to fit an entire apple.

At this point, Dennis remembered there were servants around and immediately stopped speaking.
Baron Norman waved his hand and instantly, the two maids who had been helping Dennis dress immediately left the room.
Now, only Baron Norman and his son were in the room.
“Yesterday, there was a message from the Black Sails that they didn’t find a suitable opportunity to attack Flashgold Town, so Phil Kraz didn’t manage to kill Rein,” explained Baron Norman.
“Damn those Black Sail pirates, they really are so unreliable! If they had killed Rein as agreed, none of this would have happened,” said Dennis, unable to conceal his fury.
“We can’t really blame the Black Sail Pirate Crew. I have looked into it. The few pirating crews, including the Black Sails, have some sort of arrangement with the Black Flame Church, deciding to attack several small towns simultaneously.”
“However, I heard that a few days ago, Hamilton, the sheriff of Flashgold Town, severely damaged the Black Flame Church that was attacking, probably leading to the Black Sail Pirate Crew not continuing their attack on Flashgold Town.”
“Nevertheless, Dennis, like you said, the opponent’s progress is incredibly fast, abnormally so,” Norman continued thoughtfully.
“It appears we need to resolve this matter quickly!”
“After all, if Rein passes the ennoblement exam and becomes an official noble of the empire, killing him afterward will be much more troublesome.”
“Once an official noble dies under unusual circumstances, the investigative forces sent by the empire are hard to deal with.”
“Father, are you finally planning to take action personally?” Dennis asked, his eyes lighting up, looking forward to Norman’s response.

A shop bearing symbols of stars, the moon, and the sun received a tall customer clad in a black robe.
“Old friend, long time no see!” Baron Norman, removing his hood, greeted with a smile, warmly saying hello.
“Huh! Norman, what a rare visitor, what brings you to me today?”
In the room’s shadow, an old man wearing a black robe with gray hair, raised his eyebrows in surprise seeing the suddenly appearing Baron Norman.
The boy serving promptly hung a ‘Closed for Business’ sign on the door and locked it.
“Old friend, this time I’ve come to ask you to take action once,” Norman said seriously, sitting across from the old man with graying hair.
“Norman, you know I haven’t taken action in a long time,”
“Of course, Adams, being one of the rare apprentices to specialize in spellbinding curses, I know the cost of asking you to act,” Norman said in a grave voice.
“This is the target, I hope you can resolve it quickly.”
Norman handed a thin binder over to the old man.

After returning to the Crowley family estate, Rein, dressed in a silver-gray chromed iron suit of knightly plate armor, concluded the appointment ceremony amid the gazes and applause of the crowd.
Next was a banquet filled with mingling and forming connections.
However, at this moment, all Rein could think about was heading home early, as he had several tasks waiting for him, such as forging a blood-patterned steel warhammer and improving his Blacksmith Profession Level.
Also, he needed to familiarize himself with the production process of the Mutant Growth Potion.
Although Rein had bought the raw materials and understood the production process written in Akkadian, he still needed to study it carefully before actual production.
Thus, Rein hurriedly made his way through the banquet and left under the wistful gazes of Lady Baroness Crowley and Jenny, heading back to his home in Flashgold Town.
Before leaving, however, Jenny did share some good news with Rein—that her best friend, Agatha had ancient books written in Spiritscript (Akkadian).
But Agatha had no way to remove the precious ancient books from the family library.
It seemed the only feasible solution was for Rein to go with Jenny to visit and then read the books on site in the library, a possibility Agatha assured could be arranged.
Rein immediately agreed and tentatively planned to visit the Wiggin family with Jenny in three days.

Back on the carriage to Flashgold Town, Rein quietly contemplated.
His goals were quite clear.
He was now on the right path in his knightly pursuit, and it was just a matter of progressive enhancement from here on.
However, if he could only rely on knightly skills, his means of dealing with the various strange enemies of this world would still be too limited.
Not to mention, if that Endri’s spiritual power had been slightly higher and he could have cast a few more low-level witchcrafts, then both Rein and Hamilton, back in the Elim Mine, would have probably found themselves in big trouble.
