The carriage traveled for about twenty minutes, and Rein arrived at the entrance of the Frank Tavern.
Rein slightly observed through the carriage window.
This place was situated on a street dense with people.
The bustling pedestrians and various vending calls were incessant, with many civilians, mercenaries, and other professionals entering and exiting the Frank Tavern, making it look quite lively.
Having the carriage parked nearby, Rein decided to start his search around the Frank Tavern.
Dressed in a black robe and wearing a hood, Rein quickly got off the carriage and began a careful search around the tavern as the center.
After searching around the Frank Tavern for a while, Rein realized that he might have oversimplified things.
Although his spiritual power was high and his perception sharp, he was equally susceptible to various noises and odors. This area, being a civilian district, was densely populated and noisy with poor sanitary conditions.
Half an hour had passed, and Rein still hadn’t found the so-called ‘Bat Market.’

Rein was delighted and approached for a closer inspection.
The shop’s sign read ‘Lilith’s Divination Shop,’ and although it was daytime, the iron door was tightly locked, appearing not to be open for business.
Could it be a shop that only opened at night?
Thinking it over, Rein decided to knock on the door to inquire, as this was the only establishment he recalled nearby that featured a bat symbol.
However, as Rein took a step forward, he instantly sensed something was amiss!
As if entering a bubble, a ripple flashed by and he disappeared in the alley.
At that moment, the scene before Rein differed vastly from what he had seen from the outside.
From the outside, it appeared to be a small divination shop with a closed door, but upon entering, he found it was a secretive market!
Clearly, this was the ‘Bat Market.’
The illusion Rein had seen just now must have been some sort of Illusion Array or witchcraft intended to mislead the eyes.
Additionally, it seemed to be an open type of market, lacking the guards Rein initially thought would be there, or the need to utter a specific incantation or know a specific password to enter.
Instead, he had entered quite easily.
This instantly gave Rein a feeling of ‘searching thousands of times among the crowd, only to find the person leisurely standing in dim light.’
Looking at the scene before him, Rein was in high spirits!
Moreover, Rein felt more and more that coming to the County Town was the right choice, perhaps, the Crowley family was truly his lucky star.
Soon, Rein squinted and began to examine carefully.
At first glance, the Bat Market didn’t differ much from an ordinary market outside.
However, if one observed carefully, there was a big difference. Like Rein, many of the people here wore hoods, as if they didn’t want others to know their origins or identities.
Furthermore, although there were many people in the Bat Market, the noise level was quite low, with conversations between people very hushed, seemingly to avoid letting others overhear the content.
This couldn’t help but make Rein frown.
If that was the case, it was not very friendly for newcomers like him.
