“Execute Su Mo to warn the others!” Duan Jingtian’s indifferent words resounded throughout the entire hall.
His words made all inner disciples in the audience laugh.
They were very happy to hear that Su Mo finally would pay for what he had done.

In the hall, Su Mo squinted at Duan Jingtian fixedly.
“What a simple judgment! They will execute me without asking questions or for any plea?”
“I won’t accept this!” Suddenly, Su Mo cried coldly.
Everyone around went quiet and watched at him curiously.
“It’s no use struggling!”
Duan Jingtian stared at Su Mo and impassively said, “Su Mo, your torrential guilt could never be forgiven.”
His words directly decided that Su Mo was guilty.
“Duan Jingtian, whether I’m actually guilty or not, from your point of view I am guilty, right? Do I have the right to defend myself?” Su Mo sneered and asked upon hearing Duan Jingtian.
“How dare you! You still won’t confess?” Duan Jingtian shouted coldly, as he had not expected that Su Mo would actually have a glib tongue.
“Confess?” Staring at Duan Jingtian, Su Mo laughed and asked aloud. “What should I confess?”
“You killed over 600 inner disciples, don’t you deserve to die?” Duan Jingtian looked at Su Mo blankly and said.
“Hahaha!” Hearing Duan Jingtian’s words, Su Mo burst into a laugh; he looked around all elders and exclaimed. “Let me ask you three questions. After that, if all of the elders think I’m guilty, I will confess!”
An ironic look floated across Duan Jingtian face. “He still has excuses.”
“Ask, then!” Duan Jingtian said. He was actually curious about how Su Mo would defend himself.
“The first question: killing isn’t forbidden in Qinghua Rift. Am I wrong about my killing?” Standing proudly in the center of the hall, Su Mo determinedly asked.
“No!” At the instant Su Mo’s voice broke off, the Second Elder, who was in silence before, answered his question.
His square face and tall figure made him appear dignified.
“The second question: robbing isn’t forbidden in Qinghua Rift. Am I wrong about my theivery?” Su Mo said with a smile and continued.
“No!” The Second Elder answered him once again.
Without any hesitation, Su Mo continued to ask. “Those disciples of the Sky Alliance I killed threatened to kill me before the trial test, and they even jointly attacked me in Qinghua Rift. So what I did is just a legitimate self-defense. Am I wrong?” Su Mo’s voice grew louder and louder, and he almost cried the final words.
“Still no!” The Second Elder answered with a strange smile.
Su Mo smiled at the Second Elder then turned his head to Duan Jingtian. “Duan Jingtian, since all the things I did were right, to what should I then confess?”
Duan Jingtian slightly frowned, because Su Mo was indeed innocent in terms of these three questions.
However, Su Mo killed over 600 disciples who were under his command. How could he let go of him easily?
“Su Mo, though what you did seems to be justified, you killed so many inner disciples, bringing about a great loss to our Gale Island. This is your guilt! You’re unforgivable!” Duan Jingtian still declared Su Mo guilty in a haughty tone.
“Haha! Even when all my actions were in the right, you still declare me guilty!” Su Mo sneered and loudly cried. “Duan Jingtian, what makes you declare me guilty? You’re just a small disciple. when did you become the island owner?”
Su Mo’s voice echoed the hall and spread all around, like the sea waves.
Many disciples’ facial expression changed. They were all shocked that Su Mo directly questioned Duan Jingtian! How dare he!
However, some people, like the second elder, smiled when they heard his words.
Duan Jingtian paled with a serious expression.
“Su Mo, no matter how you defend yourself, you can’t escape death!”
Duan Jingtian was full of a killing desire. Then, he turned his head to look at the Fifth Elder and said, “The Fifth Elder, since you take charge of the punishment in Gale Island, you should arrange the execution of Su Mo!”
He had no more patience to wait. What he wanted was to kill Su Mo immediately.
So the short Fifth Elder stood up and said, “Well, let me kill him myself!”
After his words, the Fifth Elder was prepared to attack Su Mo.
At this moment, Su Mo blanched and his hair stood on end.
“Wait, I object!” Just at that moment, the Second Elder said again.
The crowd was shocked, and so was Duan Jingtian. A cold light flashed in Duan Jingtian’s eyes before he asked. “Second Elder, why do you object my decision?”
The Second Elder answered, “No matter what consequences Su Mo caused, his own conduct is not wrong, and thus I object his execution!”
“So do I!”

“Me too!”
After the Second Elder’s words, the Fourth Elder, the Eighth Elder, and the Ninth Elder showed their support for Su Mo.
Just as Duan Jingtian’s expected, these people planned to spoil his arrangement. However, he was still unworried, because he was at the extreme advantage.
Among the ten elders in elders group, half of them belonged to the party of Island owner, which meant they would naturally support Duan Jingtian.
However, the others belonged to the party of the Highest Elder, and the two parties did not get along well.
Duan Jingtian pondered for a while and said, “Now that there are four elders against me, let’s vote! The minority is subordinate to the majority!”
Upon hearing this, the Second Elder grumbled, because they would certainly fail on the vote.
The party of Duan Jingtian had six votes.
However, they had four. Even if they could get the vote of the neutral Seventh Elder, it was impossible for them to win.

The voice was light but so overbearing that no one could deny it’s will.
Upon hearing this, all elders’ countenances were changed.
At this point, a cloud completely befell upon Duan Jingtian’s brow.
