?437 Sakura Five and Haunted Apartment
Jun Sayu, Nana Sato, Miku Itto, Haruka Suzuki, Aoi Nakamura, the five petals of Sakura Five.
They have been friends since kindergarten and formed the group since day one. As Sayu is the leader, all four of them listen to her decision.
Not only Sayu, but the other four also have a respective background. Therefore, their chemistry was even better than others.
” Nana Chan, You did the research, right?” Miku looked at Nana as she asked.
” Yeah, Of course.” Nana adjusted her glass in a flashy way as she led everyone through the streets.
Soon, they arrived at a small house, which looked burnt from the outside.
” This abandoned building was caught in fire thirty years ago. Some said it was an accident.” Nana spoke in a spooky way.
” But some speculate that the owner of the building did it deliberately, to scam insurance money. But anyway, more than ten people died in the fire.”
” I see, I think I heard about this tale.” Aoi suddenly spoke as she smacked her lips. ” I heard the urban legend of this burnt building. Some say they could still see smoke coming out from the window, and the faint screamings of people from inside.”
” Indeed, just look at that building. It looks so creepy.” Hana mumbled.
” Hehe, Haruka, I know you are afraid of ghosts. Are you going to remain standing here?” Miku raised her eyebrows as she looked at Haruka.
” Hmph! Who said I am afraid of ghosts? It’s just the place looks so dark and dirty…” Haruka snorted lightly, but she couldn’t help but get closer to Sayu.
” Well, well…*Miku pulled out her phone as she turned on the camera,” Let me start recording then.”
” Hello, Everyone. This is Sakura Five and we are going to do some ghost hunting.” Miku turned the camera to herself as she winked at it.
” As you know, this hunted building burnt thirty years ago, many strange things have been happening around it.”
” Today, we are going to check they are true or not.”
Nana handed everyone a flashlight as they walked inside the building. The moment they entered the corridor, they felt the building was unusually dark inside.
After all, it was a worn-out building with cracks and broken windows. Yet the sunlight inside it was almost nonexistent.
Flashing around the flashlight, Miku frowned a bit. ” Damn it, Why it feels so dark and suffocating here?”
” Hehe, Are you getting nervous Miku?” Haruka chortled.
” Me? Nervous?” Miku snorted. Look at your feet first, Haru Chan. You were shivering the moment you came inside.”
” And, I am indeed worried about the darkness.” Miku spoke. ” I am worried that the video quality decrease due to this.”
Haruka became speechless when she heard Miku’s reason. ” Yo-
You are too obsessed with your social media.”
” Haa-haa, Noy like you, Timid Haruka.*
” Ugh, What’s this smell?” Nana frowned when she flashed her light in a direction.
” Is that some sort of burnt smell?”
” Huh? Is anyone living here?” Sayu was surprised as she looked around. ” Let’s go and see.”
As all of them moved, they opened a room. Flashing the torch around the walls, they could see the dark soot coating them, with broken items and glasses lying around.
However, a faint smell of fresh smoke was still lingering in the air.
” Whoa? How could there be still such a smell lingering here?” Aoi was shocked.
*DHUKK!*
All five heard some thud sound when they were inspecting the room. After that, they turned around to walk out, only to become horrified.
” Wh-What’s this?”
” Why did the layouts of the rooms change so suddenly?”
” Yeah, It’s not the way we came in!”
Sayu frowned as she looked around, It was as if a mysterious light sparkling from her crystal eyes.
” Wait a bit. I think… There might be supernatural elements here.” Sayu spoke in a low voice. ” You guys stay close to me.”
” Of course, Where else we are going to do?” Haruka spoke hurriedly as she stood close to Sayu.
“Ugh, Haruka, Aren’t you a bit scardy cat?” Nana spoke in a teasing tone.
However, Nana jumped with a scream, holding Haruka’s hand.
” AHHHHH!!”
” AHHHHHHH!!!”
Both Haruka and Nana screamed, making others startled as well.
” Wh-What happened?” Aoi hurriedly asked.
” She-She screamed!” Haruka pushed Nana aside. ” She was the one who screamed first!”
” I… I felt someone touched my shoulders from behind.” Nana hurriedly spoke. ” Was that you, Miku?”
” Hah, Why would I do that?” Miku snorted lightly. ” Can’t you see I am holding my phone to record the surroundings?
” And, I was walking beside you, Nana.” Aoi spoke.
” Guys, I am not feeling well here,” Haruka spoke in an indigent voice. ” Let’s go back.”
” Well, Miss Haruka, If you can show us the way, we can simply leave.” Nana snorted. ” Can’t you see we are trapped here?”
” Could it be… we are inside the legendary illusion, Ghost Hitting the Wall?”
” Very possible.” Sayu nodded. “However, if that’s the case, it’s clear that we are only inside an illusion and the layout of the space didn’t change at all.”
” Even if it’s an illusion, It’s too real.” Aoi mumbled. ” How could we find a real way amidst the illusion?”
” Don’t worry.” Sayu took a breath as she looked at them. ” Everyone, Close your eyes and hold me. I will guide you through this.”
” Leader, Are you sure?” Miku asked. ” Maybe, we should wait…”
” No, We can’t wait.” Syau shook her head. ” What if something else happens? Let’s get near the exiting firm then we can discuss the exploration later.”
The four girls surrounded Sayu as they held her dress. Sayu’s eyes sparkled with a faint violet radiance as she dragged four of them with her.
It was as if she could see through the illusions and darkness. Seeing a strange wall coated with black soot with a strange dark substance, Sayu’s eyes shone.
For normal people, such a wall would make them repulsed and they won’t approach the place at normal circumstances. However, Sayu dragged the four along with her as she placed her palm on the wall.
Although feeling a bit disgusted at first, Sayu felt her hand slowly vanishing into the wall.
” Sure enough.” Sayu spoke loudly. ” Don’t open your eyes and just walk with me.”
” Yes, Leader!”
All four girls felt a wave of cold wind as they felt a breath of fresh air once again.
Opening their eyes, they saw they were on the ground floor once again.
” Heck? This is so absurd!” Miku mumbled.
” Indeed, I didn’t feel I was waking down from stairs.” Aoi was speechless. ” It felt like we were walking on a floor straight.”
” I told you guys. This place is spooky.” Haruka snorted lightly. ” Everything because Hana didn’t research properly.”
” What? What do you mean?”
Sayu rubbed her forehead, ” Let’s walk out first. We can bicker outside.”
However, as they were about to leave, the door suddenly creaked close with a loud bang, making the girl startle.
” AHH!!”
” WHAT WAS THAT?”
Aoi walked toward the door as she tried to open it. ” Nope, It’s stuck.”
” There was no window on the ground floor. The windows are on the first floor.” Hana spoke.
” You want us to return there?” Haruka snorted.
However, they felt a strange red mist start to seep from the wall, as the temperature of the room started to rise.
” What the hell…Why am I feeling so hot?”
” You too?” Haruka was startled. ” It feels like something is burning.
” Burning?”
Everyone looked at each other with shock and horror as they could feel the faint screams and flames crackling from the floor above.
However, just a moment ago, they were on the first floor and they saw nothing.
*CLOP CLOP CLOP*
Suddenly, everyone’s gaze fell on a thing that fell from the stairs above.
It was a dried and burnt arm.
” AHHHHHH!!!”

Well, everyone, sorry for the slow updates. My semester exam was going (Didn’t go too well, Lol. Let’s hope I don’t hoard another load of backlogs)
So, I will try posting regular chapters from now.
