“Is there something on your mind?” Allen asked out of the blue. That was clear from her expression and her silence. Despite the question, his hands and eyes were fixed on the holographic screen in front of him. As usual, he managed his status and skills. He realized he had gotten new status from his last lewd act with Shea.

Jane couldn’t help but feel a familiar twinge in her chest as she stole a quick glance at Allen. She tried to act nonchalant, but her mind was racing with a flurry of thoughts and emotions that she couldn’t quite comprehend. Yes, she was thinking about him – every waking moment, in fact. But to admit it out loud would be far too risky. She couldn’t risk ruining the friendship they had built over the years.
She was lost in her thoughts when he suddenly spoke up, breaking the comfortable silence between them. “You look bothered by something,” he said, his piercing blue eyes scanning her face for any sign of distress. It didn’t take a mind-reader to notice that something was off.
Jane’s heart skipped a beat as she frantically searched for a way to hide her true feelings. “Just work,” she lied, hoping that he wouldn’t see through her facade. “But that’s just a trivial thing, I’ll take care of it in the morning.” Her words came out smoothly, but inside she was a mess.
“I see,” Allen replied simply, his expression unreadable. He didn’t know much about her work, so he didn’t press the matter any further. For a moment, they both fell silent, the tension between them palpable.
Feeling uneasy, Jane turned her attention to Allen’s skill screen. She couldn’t help but stare at it, mesmerized by the display of his abilities.
Jane approached him, she couldn’t help but frown at the three statuses that were a different color than the others. They seemed to be pulsing with a faint, ominous glow that made her feel uneasy.
“Where did you get those status?” she pointed at them, her voice tinged with concern.
Her companion, a rugged-looking man with a scar on his cheek, looked up at her with a sly grin. “Ah, those are attribute statuses,” he explained lightly. “Something we get after doing lewd acts.”
Jane’s eyes widened in shock. She had only just logged into the game and had no idea that there were such things as attribute statuses.

Jane’s heart throbbed with an unfamiliar sensation. The idea of him engaging in such intimate acts with other players made her feel jealous and insecure. She couldn’t help but wonder if she was just another name on his long list of conquests.
“Does that mean you’ve done it with the other three?” she asked, the words slipping out before she could stop them. Her own voice sounded foreign to her ears, filled with a strange mixture of curiosity and desire.
He nodded, his expression nonchalant. “Yes, Larissa, Vivian, and Shea,” he replied, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. “I think it’s more important for our late game than just doing it to fill our HP and DP,” he admitted, his gaze lingering on her for a moment longer than necessary.
Jane felt a flush of heat rise to her cheeks as she considered his words. Was he implying what she thought he was implying? That he wanted to engage in lewd acts with her as well?
The thought made her heart race with excitement and fear. On one hand, she was desperate to experience the thrill of it, to gain the same attribute statuses that he and the other players had. But on the other hand, she didn’t want to appear desperate or needy. ｂｎ𝚘ｖ𝚕．𝚘𝚛𝚐
‘Ah… sure,’ she admitted internally, her mind racing with indecision. She knew that if she didn’t act fast, she might miss her chance. But how should she ask him? ‘Hey, Allen. Wanna f*ck?’ sounded crass and vulgar, it was like a desperate hooker.
But a request like ‘Do you want to make love with me?’ sounded equally strange, as they weren’t in love and were only doing it for the game status. She felt caught between two worlds, unsure of how to proceed.
Jane’s mind was a whirlwind of conflicting emotions as she tried to figure out how to ask Allen to engage in lewd acts with her. She had never done anything like this before, and the thought of putting herself out there like that made her feel vulnerable and exposed.
‘Okay… how do you invite someone to have sex?’ she thought, her mind racing with all sorts of scenarios. She had never been very forward with men, always waiting for them to make the first move. Once again, his attention was drawn to the potion list in front of him, and Jane felt a pang of disappointment. It seemed like fate was conspiring against her, preventing her from having the courage to ask for what she wanted.
“Oh, I managed to unlock more potions,” he muttered as his gaze fell on the two more options. Mid Health Potion and Mid Mana Potion. It was clear he put his concentration on his screen, so Jane decided to hold back her questions.
Instead of buying her supplies or even selling her hunting results, her nervousness and her wild beating heart made her speechless.
