[0)ᴠʟ The flashes of light came out of the dragon spirit, easily piercing trough the demon’s dark soul aura armor. They managed to weaken him but not to stop his charge. His fists clashed against the dragon’s scales, leaving large wounds over his spiritual body. I don’t know how much he can withstand, but this was being of great help.
I had considered using light or holy element magic, but it is not so compatible with me and I often use it to just do minor healing. It cannot be merged with Blood Ki that well, and my affinity with those elements is terrible, so I cannot use it properly to fight against demons. Blood element mostly hits everything neutral, so it’s the best, and I have the greatest affinity for it as well, so I overuse it to my heart’s content.
CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!
“Get off my way, giant lizard!” Roared the demon furiously, a powerful kick suddenly reached the dragon’s chin, blowing him off into the sky.
CLAAAASH!.
“U-Unnghh…! Oi old man, this guy is a bit too much!” The dragon complained, only to recharge himself with Mana drained from his master and then falling like a ray of light over the demon.
BOOOOMMM!!!
“Uuuaggh…!”
The Demon groaned in agony, the blinding light was powerful, consuming over half of his dark soul aura, and weakening him severely once more. However, I noticed as the demon tore the dragon apart with his claws, quickly making him explode and disappear, causing that loud explosion of light.
“Damn it, this bastard just killed my dragon like this?! Have I grown too weak?” Wondered Ellergest. “Holy Light Rays! Blake, can you attack when he gets closer? I’ll cover your back with healing and light magic!”
“Sure, we have done this before, old man.” I said with a slight smirk, as the demon didn’t even took time to bother about his wounds, reaching up to us in an instant. Eleanora reacted in time, sneaking around him, and reaching his back while in midair thanks to Shadow Sneak and Illusion.
“You won’t get behind me so easily!” The demon roared, hitting Eleanora with his strong and long tail, making her disappear.
POOF!
“An Illusion?!”
Of course, that was Eleanora’s [Illusion] Skill, as she was still behind me as I reached the demon’s wounded chest, if I hit that place, I can let Gluttony absorb his blood and demonic energy, weakening him even more. In a battle against someone so strong, the best bet is weakening as much as we can before attempting to take him down. I’ve done this since my previous life after all, making the foe bleed as much as possible so he weakens is a basic strategy.
“Blood Spear Technique: Blood Stinger!”
I charged Blood Ki and Mana into the tip of my spear, unleashing a single and powerful attack that specialized into dealing piercing damage above all, the attack reached the demons’ wound in his chest, as I was sure to have pierced not only his demonic core but his heart, blood splattered everywhere, as my spear began to absorb everything it could like a parasite.
CLAAASH!
“AGGH…!” The demon groaned, a second after, he swung his phantasmal hand and hit me straight into my face, throwing me away, thankfully, I managed to defend with an arm. Gluttony might be split in two but by using the part with the blade, I was still able to deal a nice amount of damage. I received the hit while enhancing my body using a few spells, so I received the least damage possible, nonetheless, the arm I used to defend my face has its bones cracked, it was unusable for now.
BAAM!
I hit the ground and rolled around, only for the demon to once more lower his guard, for Eleanora to quickly emerge at his left side, her spear reached his face but was intercepted by a large quantity of the demon’s Soul Aura, working as if it were a being of its own, it entangled her weapon and attempted to steal it from her.
“You are not fooling me around any longer!” The demon roared, hitting Eleanora’s stomach and making her explode.
BOOOM!!!
However, the spear also dissapared with her, as the demon suddenly realized she was also an Illusion.
“Huh?!”
POOF! POOF! POOF! POOF!
Suddenly, four Eleanora’s Illusions appeared surrounding the demon, all while Ellergest began firing lasers of light against the demon that began to track him. The all of Eleanora’s illusions attacked the demon at once with their spears. Without knowing who was real, he tried to evade each hit, only for Ellergest’s rays of light to hit him each time.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
These rays of light were not weak at all, each light exploded and consumed the demon, the light easily made the darkness coating his body dissipate, making it difficult for the demon and slowly weakening his strength even more. All while Eleanora abused her abilities not to deal direct damage but to simply confuse the enemy, until now.
“Hands of the Abyss!”
Suddenly, the demon conjured something he had never used before. His Dark Soul Aura shaped into countless of phantasmal hands, hitting all of Eleanora’s illusions at once and revealing her true position, behind me. Indeed, I wasn’t going to risk her dying to just wait ten minutes to summon her again. So she was at my side. I had already drank a Mana Potion while she was distracting him, her [Illusion] Skill asked for a hefty sum of it.
“So they were all illusions!” The demon angrily said, his Hands of the Abyss were all directed to us. They seemed to not be mere magical attacks, as they had the power to disperse mana, easily able to break spells. The rays of light that were intercepted by the hands didn’t damaged the soul aura as much anymore, but the demon seemed to be struggling. This technique took a toll on him and asked for a lot of demonic energy.
