However, the disciples of the great sects all heaved a sigh of relief. Their faces revealed smiles and laughter.

The Flaming Sun Princess and her companions’ faces turned ashen. They then turned their glances towards Xu Que who was inhaling his smoke, filled with immense satisfaction!

The Flaming Sun Princess was certain of this. How was it ever possible that her father’s terrifying God Powered Cannon produced such underwhelming results when it was directed at him?
Xu Que’s expression was utterly devoid of all fear. It almost seemed like as though he knew something like that would happen for he didn’t look surprised at all when the cannon was brought out. He could even take out a cigarette and position it where the flame would meet the tip of his cigarettes. He must’ve done something to it!
Zi Xuan had interacted with Xu Que before as well and felt the same way as the Flaming Sun Princess. The reason why the cannon would’ve failed so spectacularly was definitely because of something fishy that he did!
But, how did he manage to do it?
The God Powered Cannon had always been stored in utmost secrecy ever since it had been brought back to the Imperial Palace. Nobody had any access to it. When did he get the opportunity to sabotage it? Could it be that he already discovered it even before the Emperor brought it out?
The Flaming Sun Princess and Zi Xuan were both filled with immense suspicion.
At the same time, they looked up at the skies to see Xu Que still hovering while his face was filled with mockery. The pair of them felt a myriad of complex emotions within their hearts, unable to truly describe what they were feeling.
"Dog Emperor, your cannon is not too bad and rather effective too. All it needs is a spirit stone and it lit my cigarette up for me. Are you trying to win me over now by being so courteous? Xu Que looked at the Emperor who was visibly enraged and extremely confused at the outcome.
Xu Que was immensely elated by this. This was one of his favorite things in life. To watch others filled with an expression of frustration and anger and yet couldn’t do anything about it.
Everyone around in the crowd had three black lines running down the side of their cheeks.

As everyone watched the sliver of energy move slowly towards Xu Que, he even lit his cigarette with it. The God Powered Cannon looked like it was specially designed to light his cigarette!
The Fire Emperor was obviously enraged by this result as his body started trembling in anger.
All these hundreds of years, he had never been so furious as he was today. The killing intent within his heart along with the fire roots within his body were ablaze. He had long been unable to control it and his eyes almost spat fire.
"What have you done to my God Powered Cannon?" The Fire Emperor gritted his teeth and glared at Xu Que intently.
"Aren’t you supposed to be the powerful, all seeing Dog Emperor? Why have you suddenly gone blind? Couldn’t you see that I didn’t do anything at all? I was just standing here, like an honest and normal civilian, waiting for you to use your God Powered Cannon to light my cigarette for me! As for other matters… Eh! It actually looks like I didn’t do anything at all? No… Actually, you’re right. I let out a small fart earlier on! What? Do you want to come here and sniff it?"
Xu Que’s words caused the Fire Emperor’s face to turn a deep shade of red. The rest of his servants and concubine who stood beside him were trying their hardest not to laugh after hearing what Xu Que had said because they knew that they mustn’t laugh no matter what.

All the boastful words he spoke about the cannon had been completely rejected and sent back to him in the form of a vicious face slap. The heat and pain from the slap was immense!
