In the heart of Washington, the Hall of Justice stands, serving as the Justice League's overt headquarters. It appears grand and magnificent, with sunlight filtering through the high-spraying fountain, illuminating the Hall of Justice with an air of solemnity and majesty. Tourists taking photos and children playing can be seen around, and through the glass, sculptures of the Justice League's core members are visible.
Looking at this peaceful scene, it seemed to interpret the meaning of a hero. For the heroes' "sidekicks," this indeed brought them considerable shock. As more and more people gathered, Batman led everyone inside for a tour.
This was the first meeting of the three hero sidekicks. "Hey, how are you guys? I'm Kid Flash from Central City. Speaking of which, it's really cool for three hero sidekicks to appear together!"
The cheerful Wally was the first to speak. At this moment, Robin showed a strange smile and said, "I know you, Flash and his Little Flash."
"No! I'm Kid Flash, not some Little Flash. Don't call me like a baby!" Wally suddenly rushed in front of Robin and said righteously. Kaldur'ahm, with a serious face, also had a hint of a smile, clearly showing he took this visit seriously.
Upon entering the hall, Batman addressed everyone: "Aqualad, Kid Flash, Robin, welcome to Justice League headquarters. You are now free to use the training facilities here, the kitchen, and everyone has been assigned a private room. After this, you will begin to train and acclimate to each other here. After the observation period, you will officially join the Justice League. Before that, you are still not allowed to undertake missions alone, and League members will supervise you."
"Observation period? This isn't what we agreed on. I should have known, Batman." Robin retorted. Barry stepped forward to soothe him, saying, "You still don't have the ability to act alone. You haven't learned how to fight in a team yet, so you still need to learn. All right, kids, make yourselves at home. Someone will be here to arrange things for you later."
As the little sun of the Justice League, Barry's reassurance was quite effective. The angry Robin had no choice but to sit back down. At this moment, Wally scratched his head and said, "I thought it was just a tour of the Hall of Justice." The naive Wally wouldn't have thought so much.
Kaldur'ahm, who had been deep in thought, also looked up at the other two teenagers and said, "I think this is an opportunity. We need to prove our abilities to the League."
On the other side, "Three ice-powered meta-criminals attacked simultaneously on the same day. I believe we won't have to wait long." Batman walked to the computer console in the hall and initiated identity verification. At this moment, a wall opened, revealing a spiral-shaped portal. A green light shot from the door and scanned the three League members.
Beep, A 02 Batman, identified.
Beep, A 04 Flash, identified.
Beep, A 06 Aquaman, identified.
At this moment, a holographic projection suddenly popped up, attracting everyone's attention. "Watchtower calling Justice League, Cadmus Project laboratory has exploded and is on fire." Superman's figure appeared on the screen.
After a brief thought, Batman said, "I've always been suspicious of Cadmus. This is a good opportunity to get in." Before Batman could finish speaking, another communication screen connected. "Zatara calling Justice League, the wizard Wotan is attempting to block the sun with an amulet. Requesting full League deployment." Batman shifted his gaze to Superman, and Clark indicated that Cadmus was a small fire.
Batman then issued the command: "All League members proceed to Zatara's coordinates for rendezvous." At this moment, Wally excitedly rushed over: "Can we go too? We even eliminated a heinous villain today." Barry walked over and patted Wally's head, saying, "Captain Cold is hardly a challenge, and you guys are still too inexperienced."
"The League's current operation requires you to stay here. You are not allowed to go anywhere, understand?" Batman was as serious as ever.
Wally, who was about to retort, suddenly had his mouth covered by Robin: "Alright, alright, we won't go anywhere. You can trust us, right, Batman?"
Robin then showed a harmless smile. Batman narrowed his eyes and stared at Robin for a while before turning and leaving. With a Flash of light, all the League members teleported away.
Kaldur'ahm, who had been silent, suddenly spoke to Robin: "Are you thinking of participating in the League's plan? With all due respect..."
Robin suddenly interrupted: "No, my intuition tells me they're definitely hiding something from us. How could the Hall of Justice, a worldwide landmark, be the League's true headquarters?
Having followed Batman for so many years, with his cautious personality, how could he put all his eggs in one basket, and such an obvious one at that?" Robin said as he connected his portable terminal to the League's computer. With a flicker of the screen, Robin successfully hacked into the League's system.
"Wow, how did you do that?" Kid Flash was clearly impressed by Robin's superb hacking skills. "Oh, quiet, Little Flash." Robin's fingers flew across the keyboard as he rapidly browsed through the data.
"Found it! The Watchtower is the League's second satellite headquarters, designed by Green Lantern, located in geostationary orbit 22,300 kilometers above Earth. It uses Zeta-beams to teleport League members from around the world to the aerial headquarters."
"My goodness, they're still hiding things from us! It's clear they don't trust us. If they keep treating us like sidekicks, when will we truly become independent?" Wally seemed very angry at this moment.
Kaldur'ahm walked over and patted his shoulder, saying, "Since the League doesn't trust our abilities, then we'll prove it to them. Robin, look up the Cadmus Project. This will be our first step."
Robin grinned and said, "Hey, I like you, you think just like me. Since Batman is suspicious, maybe we should go investigate and solve the case for them before they do."
"Hehehe, don't leave me behind. If you guys are going, I have to go too. The League forbade us from participating in the sun-obscuring operation, but they didn't say we couldn't go anywhere else, and we're a team, aren't we?" Wally said, putting an arm around Robin's shoulder.
"Yes, we can be like a team, just like the League." The three exchanged glances and disappeared into the hall, unaware that hidden cameras in the hall silently recorded everything.
Aboard the Batplane, Flash, Aquaman, and Batman were en route to support Zatara. At this moment, Flash couldn't help but say, "Hey, Bruce, I don't think those kids will listen. They're too eager to become real heroes; they crave recognition, especially from us."
Batman, while piloting the Batplane, opened a pop-up window. The content displayed was the conversation between Robin, Kid Flash, and Kaldur'ahm in the hall: "I knew they wouldn't sit idly by. I installed trackers on them beforehand and arranged for Martian Manhunter and Red Tornado to keep an eye on them in case of any mishaps."
Aquaman, standing by, also said, "It seems you care a lot about them. Do you have a plan? You never do anything without purpose." On Bruce's serious face, no emotion could be discerned as he said, "We are being targeted by many forces now, so we need a covert force to help us. The League needs fresh blood; we need to train them as early as possible so they can become independent sooner." With that, Batman pushed the joystick. The Batplane emitted sonic booms, cutting a beautiful silver line across the sky and disappearing into the horizon.
