After saying that, he got into the car and slammed the door shut.

Lin Xi turned her head to see that Xu Mo and the others were still there.
She approached Xu Mo and asked, “Do you have a Communicator?”
Xu Mo shook his head.
She rummaged through her backpack, pulled out a card, and handed it to Xu Mo, “If you need any help, you can contact me.”
Xu Mo accepted the card, aware that Lin Xi was offering help because of the assistance he’d provided during the earlier battle in the ruins.
“Thank you,” Xu Mo said, securing the card safely.
A piercing, shrill noise arrived, and a fiery red sports car drifted in, stopping beside Lin Xi.
Lin Xi frowned slightly but then saw a fashionably dressed woman step out from the car, sunglasses in place, and said to Lin Xi, “I’m a little late.”
“You overslept, didn’t you?” Lin Xi glared at the woman.
“Aren’t I here to pick up Miss Lin now?” The woman smiled as she opened the passenger door, her long, slender legs particularly striking.
“High heels?” Lin Xi frowned. “I’ll drive.”
“Sure thing,” the woman climbed into the passenger seat.
Lin Xi turned back to Xu Mo and the others and said, “Goodbye.”
“Goodbye,” Xu Mo and his companions nodded, and Lin Xi took the driver’s seat.
The fiery red sports car roared loudly, zooming away.
“The world above really is fascinating,” Xiao Qi remarked.
