What the hell is this?
This was the question that Alex pondered on as he studied the dusty dark book in his hand; his mind seemed to be in disarray.
When he found a mail-in in front of the door of his room with the game he purchased online and an extra black book, he thought that the seller might have included it for free.
He opened the Book out of curiosity but all he saw was some foreign writings that he couldn't understand. It was quite a shock for him as he had been taught many different languages by his family and even if he couldn't learn every language, he could at least recognize most of them.
Alex was not able to make any sense of the diagrams including the scripts in it.
'Maybe it's one of the occult books that those weirdoes would make for fun' thought Alex while placing the book on the desk in front of his computer. Alex then turned on the switch of the computer, he had just recently repaired the power socket by calling an electrician who charged him quite a few bucks. Alex even felt he was getting ripped off.
Alex inserted the CD of the much-awaited game into the computer drive as he occupies the recliner gaming chair; while the game was being installed, Alex was surfing the net wearing a headphone with a piece of epic music running in the background.
But what Alex didn't know was that a beautiful lady with sensual curves and a smoking hot body, tightly fitted in black nylon dress stood right behind him.
Her dress was torn at some places, while patches of dried blood covered the rest of her dress but being camouflaged because of black color.
The woman looked like some kind of an agent or an assassin with knives sheathed across her waist as if she was out to kill someone but seeing the motherly smile covering her face, no one would believe her to be a bloodthirsty cold faced assassin.
'He doesn't seem to be practicing his skills, and even his senses have dulled or else he would have found me with the smell of blood reeking out from me' thought the lady with that smile still pasted on her face.
'I hope this work or else everything I did until now would go to waste'
The lady then started muttering some words which sounded like a chant or a spell while slashing at her own hands to let a large amount of blood to flow out from it.
Her hair magically started levitating, rising above her shoulders, and the blood which should have fallen to the ground rushed forward where Alex had been sitting with no knowledge of things happening behind him.
Dim light beneath him started glowing as the form of an invisible array around the room became visible, it was drawn by the woman before when Alex had gone to college.
The blood falls right on the main node of the array but there was no sound of blood splashing and even if there was Alex couldn't hear it because of the headphones and the loud music ringing into his ears.
Alex had his eyes concentrated on the computer screen which had the introduction video of the game playing on it. He didn't even notice the book beside him glowing with dim light and seeping out from between its pages.
But the lady saw what was happening. Hope could be seen flashing through her eyes as if her wish was going to get fulfilled any second now; alas it was then that her wristband started vibrating rapidly, making that woman's face grim and gloomy.
She thought deeply about something and then decisively stabbed one of her knives right in her bosom and through her heart. Red blood started gushing out from her wounds and a dribble of blood also flowed out from the corner of her lips. But she was still standing straight as she chanted quickly, looking straight at the boy's back with determination.
Somewhere in the space of the earth's orbit, a spaceship started to materialize. It had a black oval shape and from its side, a slim cylindrical tube extended out. Inside the spaceship, some men were standing behind a big screen. One of the men seemed to have a scar on his left eye which was half covered in a black eye patch.
He said to the man sitting in front of the smaller computer "Status of the target"
"The target has been found and locked on," said the subordinate quite happy about his success.
Another man with pockmarks spread all over his face beside the eye patch guy said menacingly. "That traitor will definitely die this time. She thought she could run from us while stealing that book relic we found from the ruins."
"...But I can't understand why she is still standing at one place when she should have known with the help of her gadget about us locking onto her. Why is she not running? Didn't she run away immediately when that happened before?" the pockmarked man spoke his thoughts.
"That's because the place where she is now is where her son stays," said the eye patch guy casually.
"What?!… she had a son…. Why didn't I know anything about it?..."
"Ah, leave it I don't even want to know about that now. I just want that bitch dead and if her son can accompany her as interest than that is all too well with me" that man seems to have some bad blood with that woman down below and after seeing that no one gave him the answer to his question, he quickly changed the subject.
A beautiful secretary beside the eye patch guy gave that pockmarked face a disgusting look and said "How pathetic, you just hate her because she exposed your face to the organization and after that thrashed you badly in front of the directors, hmph"
"How dare you lowly bitc..!"

Before he could say anything, the man with the ugly face got punched in his face by the eyepatch guy "Enough with your nonsense! Do you want to take her place down there now? Don't think that you can always get away with your father's position. Put a zip on your mouth or I will fucking through you out in the space."
"Sir, her place down there is giving off energy waves that are shooting out of the charts," said the monitor guy.
"What is she doing…. We cannot kill her now. Get our guys in ground position to capture her promptly and I want her alive right now fast" said the eyepatch guy while giving out orders to his men but then he saw from the corner of his eye that the pockmarked guy pushed the monitor guy from his seat and then punched a big red button that would have launched the missile from the spacecraft to the targeted location.
It all happened very fast, no one could stop him in time.
"Hahaha…..you think you can stop me. I will have both of you fired when I tell my pops how you two insulted and hurt my handsome face... Haha, that bitch and her son has to die now."
"You bastard, what the fuck have you done, you pushed the wrong button. It will not only kill her but will also kill the 10000 innocent people living around her place" the eyepatch guy had a visible blue vein popping out from his forehead when yelled out in anger.
"Whhhatttttttttttttt?…nononono, impossible.."
"I will hav..have my father cover this as a terrorist attack. Yeah, a terrorist attack. Right. It was done by those terrorists. Haha…I am a genius." the pockmarked face guy with blood flowing out of his nose shouted back and started laughing at his own intelligence for thinking of a way to divert all the responsibility of killing 10000 innocent people away from him.
'I now know why an SSS rank Agent would betray us. Even I am having an impulse to kill this guy right now' everyone in the room had similar thoughts.
The missile was splitting the air red in its wake while rushing toward the target.
Meanwhile, the lady had completed the mysterious ceremony, and she could see that it has become successful with signs visible just like how the ruins had the description drawn on them.
She weakly smiled at her son immersed in playing his game.
'Live a good life, my pearl' thinking her last thought she falls down on the floor while still looking at her son's blurry head.
Alex felt his heart suddenly started throbbing furiously. He abruptly feels wetness on his face below his eyes, a teardrop slowly slid down his cheeks. But before Alex could touch his face, he was hit by a terrifying feeling, and goosebumps spread across all over his body.
His mind couldn't register enough as he saw the socket behind the computer bursting out in an electrical spark that seemed to have traveled right through the computer screen and into him.
'I am so dead...' Alex couldn't help but have this last thought appearing in his mind before his world blacked out.
Coincidently, what he didn't know was that after he passed out from the electric shock, the book placed beside him combusted into pure dark flames. It suddenly sucked his body with the computer inside of it.
It didn't stop just there, since it teleported right above the unconscious lady, the book automatically opened one of its pages and also sucked her inside.
After all of this happened in a fraction of a second, the cover of the book shined with a beautiful array light matching the array drawn on the floor. It was at that time the missile hit the apartment, but that too was sucked into the book.
The dusty black book finally exploded with a meter tall black flame and vanished from the air right after that.
Everything went back to normal, other than the hole in the roof of the apartment, the room was empty without a single piece of furniture or any other stuff that previously decorated the apartment.
In the spacecraft up in the sky, a bandaged guy with pockmarks on his face was standing on two legs with his jaw agape as he tried to take in the information displayed on the screen of the monitor. "Was it a dud missile, why has it not blown off?" He asked unwittingly.
Everyone in the room heaved a sigh of relief thanking the gods that this tragedy could be averted.
The eye patch guy spoke to his secretary in a relieved tone " I think it's time for me to retire, you want to come with me"
The secretary nodded and spoke while blushing "I can't stand that idiot so…I will go with you. But before that, I think we should take care of this guy so that he doesn't explode our planet someday. We should make it look like an accident"
"What are you saying, no, we can't do that. Let's just [repair] his airship so that he can go to the ground [safely] for medical treatment and a very long vacation" the eye patch guy said shamelessly.
"Um, why am I sweating with the air-condition on" the sweaty guy with pockmarks on his face just couldn't figure out the mystery.
