Edward strapped in casual outwear is currently walking leisurely through the street.
His eyes focus on his front as he walks by the people on the street,
It didn’t take long for him to arrive in front of a big and crowded building, if Rex was there then he will instantly recognize this building as the Wind Sorcerers guild building.
From the floating buildings in the sky, no one will mistake this place.
The place is the same, packed with many Awakened searching for quests to complete as the sun is just at its highest which explains the crowd of Awakened in this place.
Many Awakened wearing a distinctive green uniform are already looking at him.
Just from a glance, Edward mentally counted that there are about 7 of these Awakened wearing a green uniform which shows that they’re a part of the Wind Knight.
After looking around, one of the Wind Knights signal for Edward to follow him.
Edward was led through the guild building passing through the crowd of Awakened that are already centering their gazes on him.
He easily becomes the center of attraction when 7 Wind Knights accompanied him.
“Who is that?”
“He’s escorted by the Wind Knights? Is he someone important?”
“That person looks familiar”
The Awakened inside the guild building started to converse about Edward, but their conversation soon faded as Edward was led into a big door at the end of the building.
Inside the room he’s in, there is literally nothing except for two big windows.
But when Edward looks up, there’s a hole in the middle of the room’s ceiling and beyond that, the floating buildings of the Wind Sorcerers Guild can be seen.
“Stand in the middle”, a man instructed.
Hearing this, Edward did just that without questioning.
As he stands in the middle of the room, the ground beneath him started to glow green exposing somekind of formation that spread throughout the room’s wooden floor.
After the formation glowed for a moment,
SWOOSH!
Edward suddenly got propelled upwards by a gust of wind from below sending him through the hole in the ceiling, it caught him off guard.
But the wind started to guide him as if he were a bird,
He was surprised at first but then he started to get used to it as he is guided to the highest floating building, it didn’t take long before he reaches the highest floating building.
Just like when he got propelled,
The wind guides Edward through a hole in the highest floating building, he then landed on the wooden floor of the room where he saw other Wind Knights are already waiting.
All of them have a fierce look on their faces,
These Wind Knights are different from the ones escorting Edward, these ones are stronger.
Each of their bodies is honed and trained to the limit, one can know that just by seeing their muscles bulging through the green uniform they are wearing.
They all also use different kinds of weapons,
One has a sword strapped on his waist, and one has a saber, bow, and even gun but all of them don’t have the same weapons as anyone in this room.
The only thing they share in common is their sharp auras showing that they’re an expert.
Edward looks around and saw Paul walking toward him, he then said, “Sir Wesley will be with you shortly, I hope you really have a good information because I put my fate on the line”
“Don’t worry, I’ll handle it”, Edward replied nonchalantly.
After waiting for about ten minutes being stared at by the Wind Knights on each corner of the room, the door in front of Edward opened as Wesley Atkins walks in.
Unlike his usual normal outfit,
Wesley right now is topless holding two identical sets of green gloves with a blade curving back to his elbows, the muscles under his usual outfit were exposed showing that he’s not at all rusty even though he’s already the leader of one of the top ten families in Ratmawati City.
There are many lines around his body that are filled with suffocating mana,
Edward saw the Tosca lines all over Wesley’s body as he gulps harshly, these glowing lines that are almost like tattoos are the sign of an eight rank Awakened.
Spirit Unification,
The process of becoming one with the spirit is the trait of an eight rank Awakened.
After scanning Wesley’s appearance,
Edward was about to say his greeting but out of nowhere, Wesley disappears from his sight.
The very fast movement of Wesley is unseeable even for Edward who is a peak fifth rank Awakened, he only realized that Wesley disappears when a blade is already on his neck.
But instead of getting intimidated, Edward then said, “Are you bullying your junior?”
“Not at all, I’m just stretching my stiff legs from all the sitting I’ve been doing as the head of the Atkins Family”, Wesley replied with a laugh.
Wesley then walks toward a woman who is already holding a green jacket,
Just from the bearing of the woman alone, Edward knows that she’s an important person in this place and if he was to guess then this woman should be Wesley’s wife.
Lady Margaret,
The Tosca lines all over Wesley’s body started to disappear as he wears the green jacket.
‘Huh? That’s how he stores his weapon?’, Edward thought when he saw the bladed gloves on both of Wesley’s arms glow with a green hue before merging into his body.
The green hue then creates two bladed-glove tattoos on Wesley’s back.
It’s the first time Edward has ever seen something like this, but his daze was interrupted when Wesley suddenly said, “Paul here said that you’re confident we will not be able to lure Rex out on our own, we need your help to do that is that true?”
“Yes, you’re losing the fight against Rex. You need help sir Wesley”
“My help”, Edward boldly replied.
Hearing this, the Wind Knights all over the room holds their weapons as Wesley’s face darkened upon hearing the bold statement coming from Edward’s mouth.
Saying that he’s losing the fight against Rex knick his prideful side,
But Wesley raises his hand to stop the Wind Knights before he said, “Edward… Do you know the rising star from a couple of years back? I believe his nickname was Alex the Cataclysm”
Edward frowned upon hearing this since he vaguely remembers that name,
Alex the Cataclysm, a twenty-five years old mid-seventh rank Awakened is an Ultramafic Lava Elementalist that can turn the entire ground beneath him into lave.
Many debate him as the youngest and the most powerful peak sixth rank Awakened.
This Alex the Cataclysm becomes more famous by the day as he contributes to the war greatly by killing many Supernatural using his very powerful lava spells.
Undeads, Vampires, and even Succubus fall under his lava power.
But the hype becomes even more hectic when suddenly he intends to create his own family intending to become a part of the 25 Golden Crest.
Many support him as he raises his family name almost reaching the top ten in a year.
Alex the Cataclysm wanted even more as he declared that he will reach the top ten of the 25 Golden Crest Family so that he can contribute more to the people and the war.
It was his glory days, but his glory days ended when he suddenly disappear.
Even his entire family that he built from scratch disappeared, the people were shocked by this event but soon the news stated that Alex was assassinated by a Vampire in his house.
Wesley grins when he saw Edward’s expression,
“Alex is a very talented man but his ambition is not welcomed by the top families”, Wesley added making the frown on Edward’s face even more evident.
He then added, “He didn’t get assassinated”
“I mutilate each of his limbs and sent it back to his family, then I also massacre his entire family with one swift swoop leaving nothing but corpses and blood”
Edward was silent upon hearing this as Wesley just confessed a big lie.
After saying that, Wesley then glance back at Edward with sharp eyes before he said, “So don’t tell me that I’m losing the war to a fucking teenager that hasn’t even seen half of what I’ve seen”
The sharp eyes emit bloodlust that didn’t come from killing one or two people.
It was the eyes of a diabolic killer that has killed hundreds if not thousands of humans, the eyes of a psychotic murderer that disregard any lives as nothing except his.
But instead of backing down, Edward replied, “Be rationale, and think this through”
“How dare you?!”
BOOM!
One of the wind knights from the side shouted as his aura exploded from his body, the wind knight glared at Edward angrily as he can’t believe Edward still has the guts to say that.
The other wind knights’ expression also turns hideous,
Before the wind knight can jump to attack Edward, Wesley shouted while still keeping eye contact with Edward who seems unfazed, “Stop!”
Just from one command, all of the wind knights stopped.
After telling the wind knights to top, Wesley started t walk left and right thinking.
“I admit that Rex is not Alex, he’s craftier while Alex is impulsive. But although you helped me retrieve back Igor, how can you guarantee that what you’re about to tell us is true?”, Wesley said while gazing at Edward questioningly.
This pauses Edward for a moment as he kept eye contact,
After a moment, Edward takes a deep breath, “The information I gave, you can tell your men to check if what I said is true. I’m not going to lie since I need your help to get my family back so I won’t beat around the bush”
“Oh yeah, regarding your family”, Wesley suddenly mutters.
Hearing this, Edward widen his eyes in anticipation before Wesley added, “We found your family, they’re held by an interested family but I already handle it”
“All you need to do now is help me get to Rex, and I’ll give your family back”
The moment Edward hear this coming from Wesley’s mouth, his expression immediately lit up as he asks, “Which family took them? Are they okay? Please let me see them once!”
“Not so fast Edward”, Wesley chuckled lightly.
With an evil smile, he then added, “Tell me all of what you know about Rex first”

Meanwhile,
After checking on Kyran, Rex wanted to find Ryze.
But when walking into the university’s hallway, he saw Evelyn standing in front of his room which makes him confused since he didn’t ask for her.
The bitter exchange from last night also makes Rex feel a bit weird seeing her now.
Nevertheless, Rex approach Evelyn in case she has something important to tell him, “Evelyn? What are you doing here?”, he asks.
Evelyn looks back upon hearing Rex’s voice,
“Why aren’t you ready yet? Exploring the canyon is today”, Evelyn said confused.
Hearing this, Rex becomes even more confused as he asks, “Exploring the canyon? When did you tell me about this, you never told me about exploring a canyon”
“Didn’t Adhara tell you already? That woman”, Evelyn clicked her tongue in displeasure.
After that, she then told Rex about the new canyon.
Rex hears the new canyon as his interest is piqued, ‘I need more lightning elemental stone to reach the seventh rank, as long as it doesn’t take too long then it’ll be fine’, he thought.
“Alright, let me change into my armor”, Rex said before he went inside his room.
Since the canyon should contain elemental stones as Evelyn explain to him, he may get some lightning elemental stones and also fire elemental stones for Adhara.
But while he was thinking this, he suddenly thought, ‘How can I make Gistella stronger?’
‘She’s not an Awakened… let’s just ask the system later. She will need to reach the seventh rank too so she can protect the others better’
Rex then came out of his room wearing the same outfit he wore during the UWO mission,
The sleeveless black robes, black gloves, and pants are all battle equipment, he will be exploring an unknown canyon after all that might contain something like Rurvi.
It’s better to be prepared or sorry,
With that, both Evelyn and Rex head out of the university.
Meanwhile, at the university’s clinic.
Just when Rex and Evelyn head out of the university,
The doctor in the clinic looks at Ryze whose body is becoming hotter by the day, even the pill he gave can only help so much as his body’s temperature raised back again.
It starts to confuse the doctor since he has no clue of what is happening.
“Is he Awakening? But I don’t feel any mana coming from him, so that’s not a possibility… Poisoning or Supernatural disease, but I can’t sense anything”
“Just what is happening to this poor kid”, the doctor mutters in confusion.

Meanwhile, in the cafeteria of the Faraday University.
Adhara is sitting with a woman that brought her to meet with Daniel Burton before, she gave a bag full of elemental stones that she made using her elements.
“The fire-based family is waiting for this set of elemental stones”, the woman said.
She then looks at Adhara after receiving the bag full of elemental stones and added, “Is there nothing we can do to speed up the process of making these? The demands are very high”
“I’ll think of something”, Adhara replied in thought.
Hearing this, the woman didn’t pressure any further as she stands up from her seat, “The money will be transferred to your account, it’s a pleasure doing business with you”
After saying that, the woman left under Adhara’s gaze.
But Adhara didn’t turn her gaze away as she looks at the woman’s back, it seems she was dwelling in her thoughts about what the woman said.
A few minutes pass before Adhara stands up from her seat,
Just after a moment, Adhara hurriedly walks inside the training ground.
A golden orb appears above her head but she didn’t pay any attention to it as she went straight to a quiet room and close the door behind her.
Inside the quiet room, Adhara went to the middle.
She then instantly summons her purple fire on her hands,
The purple fire dances on her hand before she concentrates further while imbuing her spirit energy, it didn’t take long before the purple fire becomes even more powerful.
But without waiting any further, Adhara then condensed the purple fire.
It got smaller as Adhara condensed it further until suddenly,
Pop!
Trying to make a purple fire elemental stone using spirit energy is very hard.
Adhara failed to make one but she didn’t give up, she kept trying to control the spirit energy by adding a little amount first until after about an hour,
Pop!
A small explosion was created as a purple fire elemental stone was produced,
Just from looking at it from a glance, this purple fire elemental stone emits way more mana than the usual thanks to the addition of Spirit Energy.
Adhara then closes her eyes to feel the purple fire elemental stone,
‘The purple firestone potency is raised by at least 3 times’, she thought while opening her eyes.
The bag of purple fire elemental stone she gave to the woman before is a batch she created before reaching the sixth rank, so this new one hasn’t gone out yet.
Since reaching the sixth rank, she has been busily accustoming herself to the red serpent spirit.
Now that she successfully integrated her spirit energy into the purple firestone, Adhara got an idea as she tries something again.
Just like before, she summons her element but this time it’s her wind element.
Adhara tries to concentrate on the wind element but it just becomes chaotic and dispersed, it didn’t even react the same way as her purple fire.
‘Maybe the wind element is still too weak? ‘, she thought to herself.
But then suddenly, she tries another idea,
Adhara once again summons her purple fire, this time she didn’t instantly concentrate on the purple fire but imbued the wind element instead.
She already tried making her spells more powerful using her wind mana before.
Now she will try to make an even more potent purple fire elemental stone by imbuing the wind mana, she slowly merges both elements before condensing it carefully.
Unlike the ease when she creates the purple fire stones, this time it’s not that easy.
Adhara needs to try a couple of times as the mix of both energies is harder to condense, she failed dozens of times but she didn’t give up.
‘Merging two elements are harder than I thought’, she thought wryly.
It takes longer than integrating the spirit energy like before, the properties of two different elements make merging them very hard.
But after a couple of hours,
Swoosh!
In front of Adhara’s eyes, both elements merge in harmony.
She then condenses them very slowly trying to keep on the harmony between the elements, she did it so slowly that it takes more than ten minutes.
But then suddenly,
Splash!
The popping sound was not heard, both elements exploded slightly making a splashing sound.
Adhara closes her eyes when the condensation of both elements creates a small explosion, she then opens her eyes slowly before her eyes widen in surprise.
“I- It worked!”, she exclaimed.
