Edward punched the wall angrily, the wall cracked with just a punch from Edward even though he was not using any of his elemental aura.
It was a pure anger punch to ease himself,
The punch shocks Rex for a split second before his expression turns normal again, he was surprised by Edward's sudden burst of anger but he read where Edward is coming from.
Since Kyran turned into a Werewolf, he definitely unable to maintain his anger.
During their way down from Lountain City when Rex got the Pack Inspection Feature from the system, he also noticed that Kyran's berserk stat has a plus 30% beside it.

Edward puts some more pressure on Rex's neck as he said, "What are you saying? This part of me will never change, I already told you when we're still in the military that kids shouldn't get dragged into problems!"
Hearing this, the corner of Rex's mouth quirks into a weird smile.
"Now that you said that, I thought that the girl was familiar and now I remembered. The girl that's sitting with you, she's the girl from the military right?", Rex said making Edward grit his teeth in anger.
What Rex said made the vein on Edward's neck pop, "What did that have to do with this?"
"As a person who dwelled in the military from a teen like me, you should've realized that the world is not that innocent to filter kids from the problem you speak of", Rex said as his expression turns cold.
With his cold eyes, Rex then continues, "Did you really think you're pure just because you saved that girl from the military? You never in your life mixed any kids into a problem?"
"What do you mean by that? I consider her as my sister!", Edward said before he pulls back his arm.

A solid punch landed on Rex's face as his face got forcefully turned to the left,
But this makes a hint of disappointment appeared in Rex's face, he then tilts his head back, "Where do you think the fresh meat that we used during our last mission came from? Dying people?"
Hearing this, Edward loosened his pressure on Rex's neck as he stares at Rex with wide eyes.
"The military takes his meat after killing him swiftly, You and Kyle are the ones that told me that it's from a dying soldier... ", Edward mumbles with a pale expression.
Rex tidied his clothes before he smiles, "Of course, we know that you would react like this"
"After you saved that girl and took her away from being turned into a bait for the Ghouls, the military took another orphan instead of her. The poor kid was killed and become the bait"
"What do you expect? You really think the military will just let it go?"
Edward steps back slowly as he can't believe what he's hearing, "T-That's not possible... the Military shouldn't be this cruel. I don't believe it..."

The unexpected news brought Edward's eyes down to the floor as he didn't expect what he did to result in this, he was just trying to help but he didn't realize that it turned out like this.
With a low voice, "H-How do you know all of this?"

Dinda's face is still clear in Rex's memory especially her innocent smile.
But this makes Rex's expression turns gloomy, he doesn't want to remember this but Edward makes him, "Since Dinda is close with Billy, I also got close to her"
After saying that, Rex looks at Edward's eyes with a reddened face.
"But because of you saving that girl, Dinda died..."
"And these hands", Rex said while bringing his hands up before he added, "These hands are the ones that swing the sword and killed her"
Edward can see Rex's hands trembling either from anger or regret, he doesn't know.
The realization makes Edward widen his eyes in shock,
It was not something that he ever thought about, he never wanted or expected something like this.
"Why?", Edward asks lightly, he was in disbelief in what Rex did.
Hearing this, Rex clenched both of his hands and brought them down before he said, "The military is not dumb, they know you're the one that saved the girl. And because of that, the Sergeant Major wanted to punish you and make you kill the girl yourself"
"But both Kyle and I know, you can't bear this kind of thing"
"That is why I was forced to kill Dinda..."
"Don't judge me one-sidedly, you're also not pure like you thought", Rex said coldly.
Edward is already leaning on the wall feeling his body becomes weak, Rex then steps in front of him and said, "As for Kyran, both of his sisters just died"

All of the Vampires attacking Eqosa City retreated, and this gives me and the other 25 Families descendants the time to wipe the remaining Undead"
"Wipe the remaining Undead? Just with the descendants?", Edward asks.
No matter how he looks at it, the descendants of the 25 Golden Crest Families can't really fare with the remaining undead with only a few of them in the seventh rank realm.
So it's surprising to hear that President Sebrof only sent the descendants,
"Yes, I'm one of the leaders so I'm going to need to prepare since it seems president Sebrof is aiming at me", Rex replied thinking about when Sebrof attacked him.
But upon hearing this, Edward's expression turns into a frown.

Edward didn't hear this as he was thinking with a frown, but when he snapped back he suddenly realized that Rex is already far, "I smell trouble from this", he mutters silently.

He was about to step into his room before he suddenly frown, "Where's Ari? I don't sense him around here", he mumbles in confusion.
Usually, every time Rex nears his room he will sense Ari's presence.
But now, He didn't sense him anywhere which is odd but Rex shrugs his shoulders as he will ask Ari when they met before Rex enters his room.
After entering the room, Rex also didn't find anyone in here.
Ryze is not in the room but the butler told Rex that he's with Delta, Rex then enters his bedroom before he crashes onto the bed and opens the system shop.
'Protecting the descendants huh', Rex thought as he filters the shop.
Since he needs to be protecting the descendants to make sure they didn't die, Rex needs to prepare because his skill or spell doesn't have many defensive properties that can help him in this mission.
Many of his spells or skills only gave protection to himself,
Because of the $120 million that Adhara gave from the contract that she made with Daniel Burton, Rex has about 1,1 million gold after reducing the purchases he made from before.
