“Kyran!!”, Rex glance back at Kyran in panic.
The long sharp thorn flew past him as it went straight towards Kyran, its movement is fast and even Delta who is just beside Kyran won’t be able to reach him first before the thorn.
Upon hearing Rex’s shout, Kyran looks in front before his breathing stopped.
He saw a bone-like thorn flying towards him, the thorn was lightning fast as even he can only manage to raise his hands slightly in response.
But then, something whispers to him.
Kyran widened his eyes as the dark mana inside of him moved on its own.
With the thorn going at him with fast movement, the dark mana moves even faster as it gathers on Kyran’s hand.
The dark mana reaches Kyran’s hands at the same time as the thorn arrives.
Black energy envelopes Kyran’s hands as the tip of the thorn arrives in between his hands, the dark mana then slightly stretches towards the thorn and engulfs it.
Kyran himself can only see the dark mana for a fraction of a second before suddenly,
STAB!!
BOOM!
The thorn penetrates his left chest sending him crashing away with the momentum before stabbing him on the cave wall behind him.
From Rex and Adhara’s perspective,
They saw Delta leaped trying to reach Kyan but even with the white force enhancement the thorn reaches Kyran first and stabbed him.
ROAR!!
“Adhara! Go to Kyran first!”, Rex shouted hurriedly.
After shouting that to Adhara, Rex turns towards the raven who is now also looking at him menacingly with immense bloodlust.
Its eyes have a spark of hatred as the raven moves left and right like a prowling predator.
The blood around its body makes the raven looks much menacing than before.
Rex looks at the raven’s strong front without any change in expression, he can feel that the raven is already started to weaken because of the loss of blood.
He then waves his sword before he went into his battle stance.
Although Rex’s yellow barrier manages to block most of the thorns, some of them manage to slip through as one thorn stabbed Rex’s left shoulder.
But that is not enough to stop Rex, “I had enough!”
BOOM!!
Black lightning exploded from Rex’s body as the moonlight energy gathered to him.

Rex also activates his yellow force again as his stats increased once more, the overwhelming aura that radiates from his body makes the raven flinch.
“Now die for me!”

With a small chant, Rex turns into a streak of lightning.
The raven flaps its wings after finding that it can’t see Rex’s movement clearly, the raven is clearly threatened by Rex a lot.
But before the raven can get high enough,
Rex already appeared below the raven as he leaped towards the raven with his sword.
CLANG!
The raven manages to block Rex’s attack but this time, the raven is the one that got pushed back instead of Rex.
After clashing with the raven, Rex bounces from the cave walls to the cave wall.
His movement left black lightning sparks as he bounced from wall to wall, this makes the raven dizzy because of how fast Rex’s movement was.
While bouncing from wall to wall, Rex strikes the raven with his sword.
Clang!
Slash!
Clang!
Sparks was created every time Rex’s sword clashes with the raven, blood also splattered into the surrounding as the raven’s body becomes even bloodier and bloodier the more they clashes.
Roar!
The raven roars weakly as Rex manages to land a cut on its belly.
A gruesome open-cut wound was left as Rex slash the raven’s belly with his sword, with that charred wound the raven started to stumble to the narrow wall.
With its huge frame and very big wings, it’s hard for the raven to fly properly in this cave.
From the looks of it, the raven won’t be able to fly anymore.
Seeing this opportunity, Rex landed on the ground as he imbued even more mana into his sword and also envelop the sword with his yellow force as the ground cracked with black lightning.
Powerful shockwaves charges into the sword creating a slight tremor.
After imbuing the sword with an enormous amount of mana, the sword started cracking as it can’t handle Rex’s powerful mana.
Knowing that the sword can’t handle much more, Rex’s legs muscle bulge.
BOOM!
Rex jumped up towards the raven that has started to fly away feeling the danger of Rex’s sword, it flaps its wings weirdly as it bumped into the walls but still desperately keep on flying away.
The raven tries to flee towards the entrance to this open place,
Feeling the intense lightning from behind, the raven fires another round of thorns while keep on flapping its wings to flee the place.
But then suddenly,
“Black Field Orko!”
Grip!
Four black lightning tentacles sprouted from the black ground as it caught the raven mid-air, the black tentacles hold the raven still as it tries to break free.
With a wave of his black sparking sword, none of the thorns manage to stop Rex.
Rex arrives at the raven’s back before he puts his sword cracking with black lightning forward and thrusts powerfully.
STAB!!
ROAR!!
The sword pierced through the raven’s back as it roars in pain,
Black lightning started to invade the raven’s insides as it electrocutes the raven’s body paralyzing its wings, ‘Finally, it’s over’, Rex thought as he drives the sword deeper.
But to his surprise,
With the last bit of the raven’s strength, the raven swings its wing.
The black tentacles got destroyed as Rex loses his focus after assuming that the raven will fall, but turns out there is more into the raven than he thought.
Rex widened his eyes as the raven turns its body around.
After fiercely glaring at Rex trying to print Rex’s face to its brain, the raven opens its beak wide as it bites Rex with every last bit of strength.
“RAARGHH!”, Rex shouted as the raven bites him.
The raven bites right on Rex’s traps all the way clamping on Rex’s chest.
Both of them fall to the ground making the ground tremble as Rex tries to punch the raven off of him to no avail.
It stubbornly kept its bite as Rex shouted in pain.
The raven’s saliva corrodes Rex’s skin slowly, the pain is unbearable as his skin turns black.
“You damn bird!”, Rex shouted as he grabs the raven’s neck with both arms.
SQUEEZE!
Without backing down from the fight, Rex wrapped his arms around the raven’s neck as he squeezed it powerfully trying to break the raven’s neck.
Both of them were put in a lock as the raven also can’t move much.
Roar!
Delta comes from the side as she started to bite and scratch the raven’s body, but even then, the raven ignores the pain and keeps putting all of its strength into the bite.
Even after its belly area got sliced open by Delta, the raven kept biting.
Rex’s body makes a cracking sound as his bone cracked under the bite force of the raven.
Seeing that her attempt is futile, Delta also bites the raven’s neck trying to make the raven let go of Rex that has a portion of his skin slowly turning black.
The muscle on Rex’s body contract crazily as Rex squeezed with all his might.
Blitz! Blitz!
Black lightning also hovers around Rex’s body as he kept squeezing,
“JUST DIE YOU LOUSY BIRD!! RARGHH!!”, Rex shouted as he squeezed with everything he had one last time before suddenly,
CRACK!!
A very loud cracking sound was heard as Rex feel the raven’s neck snap.

The system notification appears in front of Rex before Rex finally lets go of the raven’s neck, he gasped for air as he pushed the raven’s head off of him.
But to his surprise, the raven’s muscle is still tense as the bite still lingers on.
“Help me get out!”, Rex said before Delta tries to open the raven’s beak with all her might.
With quite a bit of struggle, the tense muscle of the raven’s beak loosened before Rex crawls back before holding his chest in horror.
Thud!
The raven’s head then falls to the ground creating a thudding sound.
A portion of his skin around his chest and traps area turns black.
Rex felt numb in that black area, but it didn’t take long before the black area emits a white steamy smoke as it started to heal.
His powerful regenerative ability started to kick in.
But even with his powerful regenerative ability, it will not be quick to heal the black skin.
If any normal sixth rank Awakened got bit by the raven, their bones will certainly be crushed as even Rex’s hard bone cracked because of it.
Delta whimpers beside Rex as she nudges its muzzle at Rex,
Rex only smiles lightly before he rubs Delta’s head weakly, “Thank you for helping me”, he said before he lies on the ground for a moment.
After a few minutes, Rex catches a bit of his breath before he stands up.
‘Kyran?!, Rex thought remembering the thick thorn that pierced Kyran as he leans on the cave’s wall with his hand and glance in Kyran’s direction.
There he saw Kyran sitting against the wall with the thick thorn still in him.
Adhara is also there helping Kyran the best she could, but it’s not much considering she’s not a healer or any of that sort.
Rex approaches them while stumbling on his walks.
But Delta helped him walk by letting Rex hold onto her with his left hand as they strode towards Kyran and Adhara.
“How’s he?”, Rex asks before he falls onto his knees.
Adhara glance at Rex and saw the black skin around his chest, “Are you okay?!”, she asks in surprise, the black skin looks gruesome and painful.
“I’m fine”, Rex replied while looking at Kyran.
He then added, “We need to get rid of the thorn, it has the same liquid as the raven’s saliva that can corrode things and seems to have some venom too”, Rex groans slightly while looking at his black skin.
Hearing this, Kyran chuckles before he coughs blood.
“Don’t worry, I’m alright”, he said weakly with a smile.
Seeing this, Rex looks at him in confusion, “What do you mean? Look at them, their skins turn black because of it”, he said while pointing at the Awakened corpses.
All of them that got stabbed by the thorn have their skin turned black.
Even the scratches on Adhara’s body also turn black because of the thorn.
Kyran then ripped his shirt area where he got stabbed by the thick thorn before he said, “See? I told it’s okay”
“How did you do that?”, Rex asks in surprise.
The skin part where Kyran got stabbed doesn’t turn black as the others did, it’s weird considering that even Rex and the others got affected by it.
Kyran then replied, “My dark mana consumes them in the nick of time”
Hearing this, Rex and Adhara were quite surprised as they didn’t expect this to be possible.
“The dark energy moves on its own, and before the thorn stabbed me the dark energy consumes the red liquid that covers the thorn”, Kyran explained further.
Even he, himself can’t believe what just happened.
Adhara glances at the subtle dark mana around Kyran’s hand before she mumbles, “Dark element falls into the special element, it’s certainly not without a reason”
“Let’s bring him outside, the moonlight should speed up our healing ability”, Rex finally said.
After saying that, Adhara helped Kyran and Rex get on Delta’s back.
Adhara then also puts another two Awakened that survived on Delta’s back, she’s the only one that is not hurt badly like the others.
“Are you okay girl?”, Rex asks while patting Delta’s back.
There are two little thorns stabbed on Delta’s body and a couple of scratches, so Rex is a little concerned by her well-being too.
But Delta growls lightly signaling to Rex that it’s nothing.
Rex chuckles lightly as he pats Delta to start walking with Adhara walking beside them.
They walked past the raven’s carcass that has its neck snapped, Rex sigh after seeing the raven’s carcass feeling glad that it’s over.
Although he didn’t want to admit it, fighting that raven is very hard without his Werewolf form.
“Adhara, go cut off the raven’s head as proof”, Rex instructed after tossing his sword.
Purple flames engulf the sword with immense heat as Adhara holds the sword.
Adhara swings the sword down to the raven’s neck, the purple flame scorches the raven’s skin but to her surprise, the sword didn’t cut.
Looking at this, Rex is flag battered as the raven is still a pain even in its death.
Adhara needs to swing the sword a dozen times with all her might before finally, the raven’s head got cut off from its body.
It makes her exhale harshly because of how hard it is.
Out of all the people that enter the cave to tackle the raven, only six of them survived the endeavor including Rex and the others.
After walking out of the cave, Max immediately approaches them.
“What happened?!”, Max asks when he saw only five coming out of the cave with gruesome injuries all over their bodies.
Hearing this, Adhara tossed the head that she’s holding.
Max was surprised by the huge head in front of him before Adhara replied, “That happened, bring these Awakened to the hospital”
Adhara brings the two dying Awakened down before a few men brought them away.
“What about you guys?”, Max asks in concern, the wounds all over Rex and the others’ bodies are very concerning.
Even Kyran has a thorn stabbing his body, it’s natural for Max to be worried.
He can’t even believe that Rex and the others can still talk and act normally with those wounds.
Rex then signal for Delta to walk away before he replied while riding past Max, “No need to worry about us, we can handle ourselves”
