After getting the prompt from the system, Rex opened the new spell description.

The sky will strike the user with a lightning bolt, and during this process, the user’s body will turn into particles of lightning before merging with the lightning bolt and going up to the sky. In a 5 miles area, the user can determine the place where the user wanted to blink to by striking it with a lightning bolt again. The stronger the user gets, the user can travel to a further area.
Looking at this, Rex smiles as he just manages to create a spell.
Using the Ether Blink spell drained a huge chunk of his mana that even surprised Rex.
He’s currently a sixth rank Awakened and Devo the Gatekeeper boosted his mana by a mile, but even then this spell still takes a huge chunk of mana from him.
But when Rex is reading the notifications, his eyes landed on the second notification.
‘System, What do you mean by Pneuma Spell?’, Rex asks.
Rex is not familiar with the terms because he never heard of it, but surely this term means something when the system classified his new spell as Pneuma Spell.
Before the system even asked for gold, Rex already expected this to happen.
He then said yes with a bit of reluctance before the system continues,

Based on the explanation from the system, Pneuma Spell basically is a spell that is created by the compatibility between the Awakened and the Spirit which results in a new spell.
Pneuma Spell is divided into three circles with one being the weakest and three the strongest.
The first circle has a 1 to three ratio of mana and spirit energy used, and this only allows the spell to be amplified by the spirit element nature.
The second circle allows the Awakened to harness two to three ratios of mana to spirit energy, and this allows the Awakened to harness the spirit’s element directly. Awakened in this circle usually can already summon their spirit with a physical presence that is attached to the Awakened.
Because of having a physical presence, the spirit can join the fight and this basically means fighting two people at once.
An Awakened that is able to use second circle Pneuma Spell is called Spiritual Awakened.
The third circle is where the spirit energy exceeds mana usage, Awakened in that can use third circle Pneuma Spell usually already achieve unification with their spirit.
An Awakened that reaches the third circle can use a Pneuma Spell that exceeds the capacity of the spirit, their mana consumption is reduced by a whopping 50%, and they are called Perfect Awakened as they almost never exhausted of their mana or spirit energy.
Perfect Awakened can fight longer and use all of the ability of their spirit freely.

The system said making Rex nod his head, ‘The ninth rank Awakened in Beah City, he can summon his spirit with a physical presence. Is that how to reach the next rank?’, Rex thought.
He still remembers vividly the scene where the Awakened killed the Demon Dummy.
‘Nevertheless, that man should be able to use third circle Pneuma Spell’, Rex thought.
But then suddenly, he remembers that he’s invited by the ninth rank woman to the sky temple, ‘Maybe I should ask her about this in detail’, Rex thought while slowly catching his breath.
While Rex is fighting with Vashag before,
Rex notices that he can summon multiple Sky Rupture spells which is a Great Spell at once, and this shows how much mana he currently has.
Before reaching the sixth rank, Rex can only summon one at a time.
And every time Rex cast the Sky Rupture Spell, his mana got drained and he can probably use the spell two or three times max before getting his mana exhausted.
But now is different, he can almost use this spell endlessly.
The vision that he had of the Ether Race Ancient One shows that the Ancient One merges with the lightning and disappears and reappears like a ghost.
Although Rex already suspected that the Ancient One is showing a spell.
Rex didn’t dare to think that he can cast that many Sky Rupture Spells just like what the Ancient One did, but the fight with Vashag proves him wrong.
After realizing that, Rex then got an idea that he told Devo before.
Rex stands back up by pushing on his knees with his hands, his body is tired and he feels sick because of turning into lightning particles.
It’s his first time using the spell, and he completely understands that there will be side effects.
He then waves his hand to Edward and Adhara signaling that he’s okay.
Rex then turns to his back and saw the majestic huge Banyan Tree up close and it’s beautiful, the roots that sprouted from the Banyan Tree’s branches are hanging downwards almost touching Rex’s head, and the size of the tree is bigger now Rex is under it.
Upon closer look, Rex can see that the tree is standing on a small ground.
When Rex walks around the tree, Rex can see that half of the ground under the tree is already collapsing as half of the tree trunks are leaning into the murky water.
After inspecting the tree briefly, Rex started to take the Vermillion Flowers around it.

Rex finished gathering the Vermillion Flowers around the tree, and he even got more than what he required to finish the quest.
‘Time to go back to the villagers’, Rex thought before his body cracked with lightning.
By now, Rex already recovered a bit from the exhaustion.
But when he’s about to use his new Pneuma Spell again, Rex can suddenly feel the changes in the wind as he slowly looks to his back.
The tree leaves and dangling roots on the Banyan Trees dances alongside the wind.
Rex looks at his surroundings and suddenly saw the mist change direction and go towards him, this makes him alert fearing that Vashag might come to him again.
From afar, Adhara and Edward can also see the changes in the mist direction.
Their surrounding becomes clearer as the mist went in Rex’s direction, “Something is strange, the mist is going to Rex”, Edward said in concern.
Adhara glance towards Rex before she squinted her eyes,
“I think it’s not Rex, it’s the tree”, Adhara replied while pointing at the tree.
Rex also notices that the mist turns out got sucked into the Banyan Tree behind him,
The Banyan Tree’s roots that are hanging down from the branches started to move slightly, and it slowly glows white like a white snake.
After a moment, the roots moved and gathers the mist towards them.
This phenomenon makes Rex frown as the mist gathers creating a ball of mist, and when the surrounding mist is gone the phenomenon stop as a ball of mist floats in between the tree branches and emits a small amount of energy.
Looking at this, Rex wanted to take the ball of mist when suddenly,
SPLASH!!
The mutated animals inside the murky waters splash the water as they swam towards the tree direction, it seems the ball of mist is attracting them.
Rex jumped towards the tree branch as he look down at the splashing murky pond.
When the mutated animals come out of the water, Rex can finally see their figure clearly and turns out they’re mutated crocodiles.
These creatures have black skins with humongous bodies at least two times Rex’s Werewolf form.
By the looks of them, they are really similar to crocodiles but aside from their scaled back they also have fins around their limbs that make them swim very fast.
After Rex scans the mutated crocodiles, Rex shakes his head and turns to the ball of mist.
All of the mutated crocodiles are sixth rank mutated animals! And some of them even reach mid-rank which makes Rex’s skin crawl.
Edward and Adhara can also feel the immense aura of the mutated animals.
“Oh my god! That mutated animals are not in the same league as the mutated bears!”, Adhara shouted in shock.
Even from afar, they can feel the aura of the mutated crocodiles.
And both of them can feel that the mutated crocodiles are not in the same league as the mutated bears, they’re powerful mutated animals that even Rex might not be able to fight them all on especially the big ones who emits a threatening aura.
The crocodiles started to climb the Banyan Tree with their sharp claws.
Rex touched the Banyan Tree for a moment,
ROAR!!
After touching the Banyan Tree’s branch for a moment, Rex took the ball of mist and put it in his inventory before the sky zapped lightning hitting him, the tree and the climbing mutated crocodiles.
RUMBLE!
ZAP!!
Rex’s body merge with the lightning and went to the sky before another lightning strike hits the ground beside Edward and Adhara.
Both of them were startled because of how loud and sudden Rex appeared beside them.
Huff..Huff…
Rex gasped for air as the Ether Blink Spell still exhaust his stamina, and it will probably take a while before he can adapt to the usage of Ether Blink.
“Alright, let’s go back to the villagers”, Rex said before Adhara and Edward nodded their heads.
BAM!!
ROAR!!
The sound of the mutated crocodiles fighting against each other can be heard from their backs, the fight is brutal as the water splashes everywhere and the ground slightly trembles.
Edward thanked god that he accidentally kicks a rock,
He can’t imagine what will be of him if he steps inside that murky waters, he might not even have the time to scream before he gets eaten by the mutated crocodiles.
The three of them then headed towards the villagers,
After killing the rest of the needed Grisly Mist Bear, Rex fulfilled the quest’s last reward requirement and he only needs to give the flowers back before he completed the quest.
While walking back to the village, Rex is looking at the ball of mist in his inventory.
Upon looking at the ball of the mist item name, Rex was put into thought.
<Little Ambrosia Cloud>
The items that Rex came here for are the heart of Grisly Mist Bear that he already harvested on the last Grisly Mist Bear heart that he killed, and Ambrosia Cloud that is a rare item that Evelyn asked for.
Based on the item description, Rex can see that this Little Ambrosia Cloud will be used to enhance Evelyn’s weapon.
But now, he only found a Little Ambrosia Cloud.
After reading the description of the item, Rex then thought, ‘So I need to find another Little Ambrosia Cloud, and I can merge it into Ambrosia Cloud’
Now that Rex saw the process of how this Little Ambrosia Cloud is created.
Before he used Ether Blink to teleport away, Rex had already scanned the Banyan Tree with the system and found that the tree is called Smog Banyan Tree and it has a possibility to create the Little Ambrosia Cloud.
Rex already checked the shop and find an item that can trigger the phenomenon.
If he doesn’t buy the item to trigger the phenomenon, Rex might need to wait weeks or even months before another Little Ambrosia Cloud can be created.
The Banyan Tree from before already did it, and the item can’t trigger the tree that has just produced a Little Ambrosia Cloud.
While he’s thinking about the Little Ambrosia Cloud, Edward suddenly tap Rex’s back making him stop on his track.
Rex looks back and saw Edward looking at something on his front,
“Who’s that?”, Edward asks while pointing at his front.
Hearing this, Rex turns his body again before he saw a figure approaching from the mist and Rex can clearly see that it’s a man.
After a moment, the man can finally see Rex and the others before his eyes widened.
