Reading the new sudden quest he got, Rex was quite surprised because this is the first time he got such a quest.
Usually, he will just get a fixed reward or calculated rewards.
But this time, the system gave him a target to get a higher reward and the reward surely is rich if he manages to get the last one.
While reading the quest, Rex’s eyes fall onto the last reward.
Blood Moon Essence…
‘System, Can you tell me about the Blood Moon Essence?’, Rex asks hopefully.
The system ignored Rex making him sigh in defeat, ‘Well that’s a stupid question, I’ll just need to get it then’, Rex thought.
But while he’s talking to himself, Adhara and Edward look at him in confusion.
“What is it?”, Edward asks warily.
Adhara is also on full alert, she glances around the place warily trying to find any sign of mutated animals or even Supernatural, “I can’t sense anything”, she said lightly.
Hearing this, Rex snapped out of his daze and glance at both of them.
Rex glances at Adhara and Edward and finds them looking at him in confusion.
Turns out while Rex is busy with the system’s notifications, Rex stopped on his track subconsciously making Adhara and Edward alert.
They thought Rex felt something but he didn’t, he just got distracted.
“Nothing, Let’s keep going”, Rex smile wryly before resuming their travel to the valley.
Rex and the others dash through the thick mist like three ghosts,
Because of the thick mist, Adhara and Edward stick close to Rex because it seems Rex can navigate through the thick mist easily and they don’t want to get left behind.
Lost in this kind of place is a common occurrence, and both of them try to keep up with Rex.
‘Thanks to the system, I get all of my senses back’, Rex thought.
Aside from the Experience and Vashag Eyes that he got, Rex also got immunity to the mist effect that blocks all of his senses.
Now he can see the entire surroundings clearly just like without the mist.
Not long after they dashes through the thick mist, Rex stopped when they saw a gushing flowing river in front of them.
“This should be the place, Deep Bleak Valley”, Rex said while looking at the surroundings.
The old woman told Rex about this valley that should be the home of Vermillion Flowers, she said that they only needed to head north until they meet a river.
Rex glance around and saw many huge rock spikes decorate the surroundings.
“Shit!”, Edward cursed as he slipped.
Adhara and Rex glance towards him and see Edward lying on the ground, he tripped on something that makes him fall.
Rex looks to the ground and finds green mosses and lichens covering the rocky ground.
The mosses and the lichens are contrasting with the entire color background of the place which is dominated with grey, it gives somekind of liveliness in this place.
But when Edward was about to get up, Rex glance to his right.
He felt something coming from his right and saw a creature there, it’s similar to a bear.
“Heads up, we got a company”, Rex said while pointing to his right.
Hearing this, Adhara and Edward glance to the right before slowly a shadowy huge figure appeared from the mist.
The creature turns out to be a mutated bear that the old woman is talking about.
Rex scans the bear before a smirk appeared on his face,

Seeing the Grisly Brown Bear’s stats, Rex smile lightly before he sat on a rock behind him, “Alright, you guys take care of the mutated brown bear around here”
Hearing this, Edward and Adhara glance at each other briefly.
“Alright!”, Edward replied with excitement.
Because of the incident in the Crystalline of Mana, he never got to truly use his new element prowess but he knows that his fire becomes stronger.
These mutated brown bears are the perfect dummy for him to test his new element.
In front of the three of them, a Grisly Brown Bear appeared.
The mutated brown bear stands hulkingly in front of them, its sheer size is easily two to three times bigger than Rex’s Werewolf Form.
Its claws are long and sharp just like black steel, and they have two sharp sabertooth fangs.
Looking at the massive target practice in front of them, Edward takes out his daggers as battle intent emerges from within.
The black flame that he newly possessed cloaked his daggers menacingly.
Although there is no heat coming out from the black flame, it still emits weird frightening energy that makes the mutated brown bear glance at them.
But right after Edward’s eyes burn with excitement,

Raawrgh!
Many growling sounds suddenly can be heard from behind as many shadowy figures appeared from the mist like ants.
Looking at this, cold sweat runs down Edward’s forehead.
“Adhara? I think I might need your help”, Edward mumbles seeing the approaching creatures.
A dozen or probably more mutated brown bears appeared from beyond the mist, and they all are baring their sabertooth fangs menacingly.
Adhara who is standing beside Edward also takes out her daggers.
Her daggers burn brightly with purple flames as she gets into her battle stance, “Don’t worry we can take them on, we don’t need Rex’s help”
Hearing this, Edward also gets on his battle stance.
ROAR!!
The dozens of mutated brown bears sprint towards Adhara and Edward’s direction with bloodthirsty eyes, the ground shook because of their sheer weight.
CLASH!!
SWOOSH!
Both Adhara and Edward clash with the dozens of mutated brown bears.
CLANG!
Their daggers create fiery sparks as they clash with the mutated brown bears’ claw, their claws proves to be stronger than they look.
Edward dodges a series of attacks from the mutated brown bears cleanly.
All of the mutated brown bears’ attacks missed as they crashed the ground, Edward’s defense is rock solid because their movements are clumsy.
SLASH!
Edward managed to dodge two attacks from two mutated brown bears,
He jumped between the attacks and swings his daggers cloaked with black flame, the daggers slashes the two mutated brown bears as two deep cuts bursting with blood appeared.
The deep cuts is starting to burn with black flame,
GROWL!
Both of the mutated brown bears tumble down as their throat gets cut and slowly turn to ash.
Edward’s eyes daggers to the surroundings, his body glows with a red hue as he rolled to the side dodging another mutated brown bear’s attack.
Meanwhile, Adhara is also fighting with the mutated brown bears.
Three of the mutated brown bears surrounded her from all sides, but with her having fifth rank power and also the breathing technique Rex gave.
Her agility stats have risen further and she can see their attacks clearly.
BAM!

Adhara dances through their attacks like a slippery eel, none of their attacks manage to reach her as she counters slash with her burning purple daggers.

Different from Edward’s attack,
Adhara’s attack cuts through their claws easily like butter, her violet flame heat is too much for the Grisly Brown Bear.
After taking down one mutated brown bear, Adhara jumped up with a blast of fire.
Her eyes glow with purple fire as she a fire appeared on the ground creating a circle with the two other mutated brown bears inside it, “Fire Spell, Ring of Fire!”
BOOM!
The ground exploded as it engulfs the two mutated brown bears in flame.
She killed the two mutated brown bears easily,
While this is all happening, Rex is sitting on the side watching the fire sparks in awe.

Notifications from the system appeared in front of him as Adhara killed the mutated brown bear.
One of the things that Rex got from adding a pack member is getting a 5% increase in stats for each pack member he has, but aside from that, he also got a shared exp from his pack members.
Seeing this, Rex frowns, ‘Didn’t Kyran go to the dungeon to train? He must’ve killed a couple of mutated animals there’
A couple of days ago, Adhara told him that Kyran went to the dungeon and meet Hans.
Kyran go there must be because he’s training his new dark element, and he should’ve killed mutated animals there.
If the system allows a shared exp from his pack members, Rex should’ve gotten the exp from Kyran killing the mutated animals in the dungeon just like he gets from Adhara right now.
But turns out he didn’t, Rex never get the experience.
‘Do I need to be close to them? That’s inconvenient’, Rex thought with a sigh.
Speaking of Kyran, Rex suddenly wonders if Kyran got to Lountain City yet, ‘With Ari on his side, he should be fine and probably already arrived at Lountain City’
‘We, unfortunately, met Vashag on the way’, Rex thought.
While he’s thinking, Adhara and Edward already finished their fight with the mutated brown bears as carcasses lie on the ground.
They manage to clear the surrounding bears easily with little to almost no scratch.
“Took you long enough”, Rex teased with a smile.
Hearing this, Edward and Adhara rolled their eyes because they know that they can’t be compared to Rex with the power they currently have.
The fight should’ve exhausted them because they just took down almost more than a dozen.
It seems a couple of mutated brown bears joins the ongoing fight,
This is especially true for Edward who is already sitting on the ground drained, his new element might just take too much mana than it used to.
Adhara on the other hand is tired, but she’s still standing firmly.
“Don’t get tired yet, I can sense many other creatures coming towards us”, Rex said while tapping Edward’s shoulder lightly.
Hearing this, Edward takes a deep breath and stands back up.
Not long after he stands up, another dozen of mutated brown bears appeared.
Adhara’s explosives attack creates a loud sound that attracts their attention and thus making the other mutated brown bears in the area come towards them.
“We can deal with this”, Adhara said confidently.
Edward sigh helplessly before he also said, “Yeah, we don’t need you, Rex”
Hearing this, an amused smile appeared on Rex’s face.
‘Well I only want to kill the Grisly Mist Bear to clear the quest, the brown ones I can just leave them to these two’, Rex thought with a smile.
But when Adhara and Edward were about to engage in a fight again.
ROAR!!
A powerful roar resounded from the back of the mutated brown bear, the shadow of the creature can already be seen through the mist.
Looking at this, Rex’s fighting spirit lifts up.

After a loud thud, the creature emerges from the mist.
The creature is also a mutated bear but different from the brown one,
It has thick white fur that coated its body from the rain and also makes it harder to see the creature with the thick mist surroundings.
But there is one noticeable feature this creature has that makes it stands out.
The creature is muscular and standing on two just like a human,
“That one…is Mine!”, Rex shouted as he instantly dashes towards the creature with burning vigor and fighting spirit.
