A flash in Xiao Yeyang’s eyes, seeing Daohua’s huffy demeanor, he knew she was referring to him intentionally keeping his distance during this visit to the Yan family. Just as he was about to say something, they heard voices from afar. He reached out and grabbed Daohua’s hand, pulling her into the shadows beneath a tree at the corner of the wall.

Under the shadow of the tree, Daohua nervously watched Uncle Qin Wu approaching with several Protectors. To avoid detection, she instinctively moved closer to Xiao Yeyang, trying her best to hide behind the tree.
Without a word, Xiao Yeyang watched with a smile. As Daohua moved closer, he also leaned in a bit more, bringing himself closer to her.

Xiao Yeyang looked at Daohua, deliberately raising his eyebrows as he asked, “Dare you go?” He paused, then added, “You weren’t scared just now, were you?”
Daohua was already reluctant to climb the roof, yet upon hearing this, she immediately responded, “Who got scared? Let’s just go.”
Hearing her words, Xiao Yeyang’s lips curled into a slight smile and he made a welcoming gesture, “Then let’s be on our way.”
No sooner had the words left her mouth than Daohua regretted them, but it was too late to back down now. Stamping her foot, she had no choice but to follow, albeit reluctantly.
