“Jian, why didn’t you let the teacher drive us back?” Jian Dan only stopped running when she was sure that Zhang Yang’s car was out of sight.
“Xiaoting, how can you be so clueless? Didn’t you see Mr. Wu in Mr. Zhang’s car?”

“Xiaoting, you can be even more obtuse!” Jian Dan looked at Xiaoting with slightly meaningful eyes.
“You couldn’t mean that Mr. Zhang and Mr. Wu…they…” Xiaoting widened her eyes as she looked at Jian Dan.

“Mr. Wu had that ‘spring fever’ look all over his face; he’s definitely interested in Mr. Zhang. Who knows, they might just…” Jian Dan touched her index fingers together to hint at the unsaid.

“We better hurry and catch a taxi back, or our dorm will be locked.”
Xiaoting checked her phone, “It’s already this late; we need to move fast.”
