After I finished telling them the entire outline of the plan, their earlier frowns had already turned into faint smiles.
“If we succeed with this, not only would we be able to save more, we can even increase our defenses!” 𝘳.𝑐𝘰
Ember’s tone was filled with expectation, even a little bit excited.
“Right. So, Ember, call God Zeshion and Goddess Zeta for me. The rest of you, rest for now. We’ll be doing a lot more work later.”
Everyone quickly dispersed, returning to their usual duties. Only Fatima remained, her expression still filled with fear and worry.
“Will… you know that even if we gather all the kingdoms, there’s no way we can fight against that Void Beast, right?”

Right.
This plan only addressed the problem regarding the god-level demon armies. The problem of the Void Beast remains to be solved.
I recalled its red eyes burning with hatred for the living and gripped my fist tight.

Fatima still looked worried, but quickly shook her head. The frown on her face vanished, replaced by a neutral expression. She must’ve made a compromise with herself in that short instant.
“Alright. As the one who gave me a second chance in life, as the one and only man I loved and ever will love, I’ll trust your words.”

D*mn. I was caught off-guard by her sudden confession that I suddenly felt embarrassed. Fatima stared straight into my eyes, a weird aura surrounding her. Slowly, our faces approached each other, and…
“Master, I’ve brought God Zeshion and Goddess Zeta, as you’ve asked.”
… Ember’s voice brought us back to reality.
Fatima quickly turned her head away, coming back to her senses, before blushing madly. I simply looked toward Ember, who was smiling as she stared at the two of us, making me feel extreme guilt about something I hadn’t even done yet.
“A-Ahem, Ember, well done.”
I cleared my throat, trying to erase the weird atmosphere around the office.
“God Zeshion, Goddess Zeta, I want to ask for your cooperation about my plan.”
Trying to return to my business mode, I quickly went to the heart of the matter. For the second time, I explained the plan that the regressors came up with. The two of them went into deep thought, their brows furrowed, before finally raising their heads.
“Alright, Will. I think this is a good choice too. However, this plan relies on the idea that all countries agree with the relocation. How will we convince them?”
“Oh, that?”
I thought Zeshion would ask something a bit more difficult, but this one’s just child play.

After that, we immediately went to work.
God Zeshion and Goddess Zeta both had to gather energy recovery potions since they would need to move large masses of land multiple, no, dozens of times.
Before they could begin, I first had to work on convincing the kingdoms to participate. To do this, I used the same method as before, sending the girls and letting them pass a single sheet of notification-cum-agreement document.
What was written on it? Well, basically:
“If you don’t want to die from getting besieged by the god-level demons or be smashed to dust like the Paragon Empire, join under our wing and agree to a relocation order.”
Threat? No, it’s not. I was just stating the obvious! If I wanted to threaten them and let them sink to the deepest depths of despair, then I’d have told them about the Void Beast that was added to the enemies’ ranks.
We’re doing charity here. Saving them and all their residents without asking for much in return is already an act of mercy from us.
Anyway, after receiving that note, the rulers of the said kingdoms had no choice but to sign. Well, as long as they weren’t insane, that is.
Within an hour, a total of 116 were annexed under Heaven’s Republic’s name. Virtually, we’re now bigger than the Empire before! With just this, our plan was basically already a success.
“Now, we only need to move them…”
To ensure a seamless defense, we decided to teleport the entire land within their control, enclosing it into the smallest circle that could enclose their land, before moving them adjacent to the Heaven’s Republic area.
The idea was to follow a hexagonal tiling.
The Cleaver Kingdom is directly adjacent to the north border, with the other nearby kingdoms arranged as if to surround the Cleaver Kingdom and our country.
In the end, we managed to cover about a six-tile distance from the center to the furthest country. Thanks to the tiling method, we managed to reduce the total border we needed to defend to a sixth of the total perimeter than before. In short, we can have six times more defenses set for each border!
Of course, due to transposing the land and its residents, the demons that were supposedly in that area ended up getting sent away. It wasn’t really a part of the plan, but thanks to that, the number of surrounding demons has dwindled to a minimum.
Well, they’d soon swarm around again, though.
God Zeshion and Goddess Zeta took 4 hours of nonstop teleportation to complete this feat. Although it’s about to turn dark now, we managed to safely arrange the defensive troops, making sure that all borders have about equal levels of defense.
For this, the placement of the god-level monsters and tamers was essential. And for that to be achievable, I needed to restructure the command of all the tamers under our banner.
“If you want to protect your land, then follow my commands!”
It was a bit sad that the tamers weren’t willing to follow me at first until I said that last part. Well, the ones that really refused to follow orders ended up going to a boot camp… sent directly into the middle of the enemy lines by Goddess Zeta.
It didn’t take them a few minutes before they changed their minds, willing to work on the frontlines without as much as a single peep.
Well, they should treasure their lives, after all.
