Currently, I was dolled up in a purple outer robe with a thick cloth embossed with various images like a dragon, lotus flowers, flowing clouds, and such. The innerwear was a white robe similar to what I usually wear but had the sleeves cut midway, making it shorter. To add to that, its textile was similar to the outer robe; it was f*cking thick too!
The attire was so hot that if not for me using [Temperature Control] to lower the temperature inside, I would be sweating like a fountain. After all, the entire set consists of multiple layers of cloth.
From my limited knowledge, this style of clothing should be called Sokutai. Something that was worn during important celebrations, such as a coronation ceremony.
I was wondering why I wasn’t allowed to wear the same thing I wore when I was crowned as the clan head, but the Head Maid lectured me for two hours when I asked. I regretted asking her since I couldn’t even remember half of what she said then.
“… Finally acceptable.”
The Head Maid’s approval finally came, making the ones who worked hard helping me robe up cheer loudly. I couldn’t help but smile, knowing that I could finally get out of this hell.
Honestly, I don’t even get what’s different from this set to the first one I tried on hours ago. They look identical, after all.
Anyway, with the Head Maid’s seal of approval, I was finally allowed to head out. Looking at the time, my coronation ceremony was about to begin.
I walked slowly since the thick clothes were extremely uncomfortable and hard to move in. But with my dexterity, it didn’t take long for me to get used to it, though.
With maids on both sides on standby to help in case I needed it, we walked down the long hallway, heading for the wide-open teleportation portal that leads to a pocket dimension that Goddess Zeta created just for the occasion.
I walked through it without any hesitation, but the two maids didn’t follow and stood by the entrance, bowing their heads respectfully. Formalities, formalities…
When I popped out the other side of the portal, what greeted me was an army of beautiful women dressed in colorful clothes.
“Master, finally you’re here! You look dashing in your attire.”
“Leader, how do I look? Do I look pretty?”
“My lord, the coronation is about to start. I think it’s time to go up the stage.”
“Will, you look good in that attire. As they say, clothes make the man.”
“So this is what formal attire looks like at this age… It’s a little different from what I know. Interesting.”
The five of them greeted. Behind them, Minerval, Hekate, Judy, and Yorm stood idly. Of course, similar to the others, they were also dressed in beautiful clothes but were slightly modified to fit their largely different builds.
If I were to describe their dresses accurately, then it would probably take too long, so let’s just say that they’re wearing “modified” Yukata with each of them taking a specific color scheme.
Ember with white, Fang with black, Igni with red, Fina with pink, Fatima with yellow, Minerva with coffee brown, Hekate with gray, Judy with a mix of pink and black, and Yorm with a mix of pink and silver.
Of course, the colors I mentioned were merely the “theme,” since if their yukatas were of a pure color like that, then staring at them while grouped up would be hard on the eyes. I responded to their greetings. Looking at them, my mouth gently curled up into a bright smile. Still, time is running out, so we need to move soon.
