The War God clenched his fists. “Damn it! She’s feeding on the attacks! We need a different approach!”
The sky above cracked open, divine and demonic energies clashing. Every god was pouring their strength into the battle, yet the Forbidden Goddess stood unyielding, her power still growing. The War God and Storm God exchanged frustrated glances.
“She’s becoming unstoppable,” muttered the Storm God. “Even the combined strength of the gods is failing.”

He focused harder, pushing his perception beyond the battlefield. Then he saw them—the ghosts. The invisible protectors of the nether region, swirling around her like an impenetrable shield. They were absorbing every soul attack, nullifying its impact before it could reach her.
His fingers curled into fists. “That’s why nothing works… Those ghosts are acting like divine protectors. It’s not her that’s invincible—it’s the spirits shielding her.”
Kent closed his eyes, pushing his mind deeper into thought. He had read countless ancient texts, trained in all known battle strategies, and even studied forgotten spells, yet nothing in his vast knowledge mentioned a way to bypass spirits that protected the soul.
“Damn it… There must be a way.”
The ground below shook again as another explosion rocked the battlefield. The Forbidden Goddess moved like a blur, appearing next to the fire god, striking with such force that his divine body shattered instantly, his soul ripped apart as he screamed in agony.
The other gods hesitated for the first time. Their morale was breaking. If they couldn’t harm her, what was the point?
Kent could hear their cries, their wavering resolve, but he pushed it all out of his mind. He needed to find a way. The ghosts… what were they exactly? Were they bound to her will? Or was she bound to them?
