“Thanos!” Steve spontaneously said as it was the only name that came to mind at the moment. Although he had never seen Thanos himself, he knew immediately that the man in front of him right now was none other than the mad titan!
But why did Thanos show up here now? where did that mysterious woman go? what happened to Dio and the Infinity Stones that he was supposed to recover? Everyone got too many questions right now, but they wouldn’t get the answer, at least not until Dio recovered. But they knew this was the worst-case scenario right now!
“We have to defeat him now!” Tony said, startling the Avengers at the scene.
“Is that really you, Tony?” Steve asked as he watched Tony for a while as Tony was still tied up tightly.
“I know that you are unsure right now, but yes! This is really me! I got rid of that woman’s control somehow, well, more precisely, the control over me disappeared! It seems that Mr. Saviour over there successfully stopped the woman on her track.
Everyone knew that Tony was back to his usual self, but they were still cautious as there was no telling what would happen next.
“How do you prove you’ve really recovered? You should know that you almost killed Stephen and Dio!” Steve said carefully.
“I admit that being controlled was the worst sensation ever, and I don’t want to go through that ever again. I don’t know how to prove it to you, but certainly, you can impose restrictions on my action with other methods! I don’t like being tied up like a mental patient!” Tony said with his classing over-the-top charisma.
Everyone looked at each other as they weren’t sure they had to cut Tony loose.
“Come on, guys! Thanos is here. Do you have any better choice than this? trust me this time!” Tony said exasperatedly. But the Avengers still hesitated as they were still unsure if it was a good idea.
“T’challa, find a way to keep Tony in control. We will cut him loose, but we will immediately tie him back down the second he tries something iffy again!” Steve said confidently. T’challa nodded his head and injected Tony with something he received from the Wakandan Lab.
“Hey! What did you inject me with? Is it poison? How long will it take before I die? Did you have the antidote?” Tony shouted annoyedly.
“Relax, it’s just a rencently developed Nano Worm. When they are not activated, they will stand by on your spine, but if I activate them, they will immediately block your nerve, paralyzing you immediately! Of course, everything is temporary. It wouldn’t cause permanent harm, presumably!” T’challa said indifferently.
“You aren’t sure?” Tony said while rolling his eyes. Clearly, he didn’t want to be paralyzed for the rest of his life.
“Well, this method has been designed and developed for a long time, but it hasn’t passed many clinical tests yet. It’s possible that something unfortunate happens and causes an error on the Nano system, leading to it going haywire. But as long as that didn’t happen, you are in good hands.” T’challa said indifferently. Tony looked at everyone else, but they just shrugged their shoulders as they didn’t really know Wakanda’s technology as good as T’challa.
Tony was very annoyed right now, but he didn’t care as he knew that they had to deal with Thanos right now. After experiencing how horrible being controlled by the enemy was, he understood why Steve stopped him from taking revenge against Bucky as Bucky was also being controlled by the Hydra!
“Can you untie me now?” Tony asked frustratedly. Steve nodded his head, and Natasha stepped forward to untie Tony from his bind.
But as soon as Tony moved his body that was stiff from being bound, countless meteors suddenly fell with a loud bang on Wakanda’s soil. When the fire was gone, countless monsters immediately swarmed the area!
“Guys, I think we are in big trouble. We are being surrounded by the enemy right now!” Scott said nervously.
“We have no choice but to fight!” Steve said confidently.
“Since the opponent has not given up the offensive, it also meant that Thanos hasn’t got his hands on the entire Infinity Stones! We still have a chance to turn this over.” T’challa said confidently. Everyone looked at Dio once more, but Dio was still unresponsive. But it was obvious that T’challa’s speculation was likely to be correct. Otherwise, there was no need for Thanos to attack them like this.
They began to think that Dio had successfully recovered some of the Infinity Stones and killed the mysterious woman earlier while he was at it. The sudden appearance of Thanos might have something to do with Dio’s unresponsive behaviour right now.
But nevertheless, there was still a glimmer of hope!
“Everyone, be ready to fight! T’challa, although it was cruel of me to ask, we need more manpower out here!” Steve said solemnly.
Steve knew that the previous battle had cost Wakanda around 10.000 of their men. It was a devastating blow to a country with a small population like Wakanda, but there was no other choice but to fight here! It might be a different case of scenario if they could rely on Dio, but Dio’s condition wasn’t the best right now!
So before Dio woke up, they had to devise a plan for the worst and did everything they could until then!
“Wakanda would never give up! I will mobilize all troops to aid us! This is our final battlefield. We will never retreat!” T’challa said confidently!
