Time couldn’t be controlled by two things at the same time. So, Dark Crystal wouldn’t be able to walk freely in Dio’s time stop if she was still trying to rewind the time. Then again, if she didn’t use the Time Stop, she wouldn’t be able to recover her arms with the Time Rewind ability.
Obviously, Dark Crystal already realised Dio’s intention, so she was caught in a dilemma as she couldn’t decide what to do. She racked her brain for the surefire way to win, but there was no best way out, so she gritted her teeth and used the Time Stone’s Time Stop ability to allow her to interfere with Dio’s Time Stop and immediately used her Aether power to snatch back the Mind Stone that was still on Dio’s hands.
She gave up the chance to recover her arms as she knew that Mind Stone was more important! Meanwhile, Dio was having a hard time breaking through the Aether’s attack as no matter what he did, the Aether couldn’t be destroyed! In the scramble, her arm fell to the ground and was torn to pieces, but unfortunately for Dio, Dark Crystal successfully recovered the Mind Stone!
Dio couldn’t do anything about it, so he immediately cancelled the Time Stop ability to reserve his remaining Hamon Energy. But nevertheless, the minimum objective has been achieved! Dark Crystal’s body was really fragile!
This time, he cut off one of her arms, then the next time, it would be her leg or even her head! Dark Crystal’s face was darkened with rage while she stopped the bleeding on her arms and put the Mind Stone on the ring of her other arms. She knew that she would immediately lose if Dio recovered the Mind Stone as she wouldn’t have a chance fighting Dio head-on like this without it!
“I admit that I underestimated you too much! But you will never get the chance to get anywhere near me anymore! You will soon die here!” Dark Crystal shouted in anger as she activated the Three Infinity Stones in her possession at the same time once more. Dio felt that he had nowhere to dodge as the entire place was illuminated by the three-coloured light that represented each Infinity Stone that she had.
But suddenly, a familiar figure appeared before him.
“Wanda? Steve?” in fact, the Avengers appeared one after another. In addition to that, Crystal and everyone he ever knew appeared one after another, even his parent, who was already dead for a long time! Everyone in his memory was projected by the light around Dark Crystal!
“Enjoy the show! Everyone that has influenced your life is here to kill you! I hope you can survive this rampage!” Dark Crystal smiled at Dio as she stood behind all the people that she created. She wondered how long it would take before Dio killed all these realistic illusions.
“Hey, why are you still here? we already killed Thanos, so come on over and save the Earth from other threats with us!” Steve said solemnly.
“When these matters are over, how about we find a place to live a secluded life and get married? I would like to have your babies!” Wanda said with a smile on her face.
“Brother, have you forgotten me already? I am so scared. Everything is so dark! Come save me!” Crystal said as she walked with shivers.
“Do you think you can kill me? The ones you killed were just my fakes! I am still alive and kicking! But don’t worry, after you die, I will take care of your wife and kids for you!” Kingpin said with a cigar on his lips.
Dio had a tough time as all of them was like real person! This was the true power of the Reality Stone once it was powered by the Mind Stone! It felt like everyone was a real person as they could think and react independently.
Dio held the [Reaper’s Gaze] on his hand tightly as he almost attacked these illusions several times, but as he watched Wanda with her pregnant belly in front of him, he couldn’t help but look forward to a happy future. He couldn’t bring himself to attack these people as everyone felt so real!
The weapon on his hand felt heavy even though he had already used it so many times in the past! He knew that they were all just an illusion created by the Reality Stones, but the Mind Stones that powered the illusion made it too real! The Mind Stones amplified his emotion, resulting in him being unable to decide what to do!
He knew that the only way to break through and kill Dark Crystal was by killing all these illusions!
“Everything here is fake! The real Wanda is waiting for me to return at Wakandan palace!” Dio said to himself to steel his resolve.
“This is your child! Don’t you want to meet him? Don’t you want to hear him call you father?” Wanda said as she burst into tears as she saw Dio raise the [Reaper’s Gaze] from the ground. Dio’s heart trembled as he heard Wanda’s word. The Mind Stones really was a terrifying relic!
Just as he hesitated, Dio suddenly felt pain in his lower abdomen. He looked down and found a Dark Crystal’s dagger pierced [White Album] and all the Hamon Barrier that he had and penetrated his body, wounding him. He also found that the part where he was stabbed crystallised and kept spreading like what happened to the Wakanda’s soldier earlier.
“Since you are going to kill my child and me, I will have to kill you first!” Wanda said as she was the one who stabbed Dio on the abdomen as she was already within arms’ distance.
“Thank you for making me realise that I have ignored you for so long, but I am sorry, this is not the place for me to die!” Dio said as he held Wanda’s face in his hands dearly. Dio then swiped [Reaper’s Gaze] through Wanda gently, destroying the illusion of hers.
Wanda’s head rolled on the ground with a vicious look on her face. To be honest, Dio was traumatized by this scene, but there was nothing he could do.
He used the last of his [Soul] to overwrite the wounds on his body and then took a deep breath to regain his composure. But he didn’t have the time to relax as Thor rushed towards him with Mjolnir on hand. Dio immediately chopped Thor’s head with [Reaper’s Gaze] without any hesitation.
Dio was in pain to see the person he knew die at his own hand, but there was nothing he could do. He moved forward and chopped Crystal’s head, and now Dio felt despair on his heart as he saw Crystal’s tearful face roll on the ground, but there was nothing he could do!
Every time another person was killed, Dio’s heart throbbed painfully. His negative emotion steadily amplified as time passed!
