“I already saw your death!” Dio said as he waved his scythe around, and the thorns that filled the sky was immediately cut off and disappeared!
“What is this power! Mortal, state your name!” Hela said as she looked at Dio coldly. Even after Dio cut Hela’s head and put her into the Void earlier, Hela didn’t even consider Dio a threat earlier. However, she took back her verdict as soon as she saw Dio’s combat capability.
The Power Gem was once again imbued to Dio’s [Reaper’s Gaze], strengthening the scythe even more!
“Name? Just call me ‘Mortal’ like you used to. The next three minutes would feel eternal to you anyway!” Dio said as he started to power up the Power Gem. He dragged the scythe forward and waved it towards Hela. A Purple crescent light appeared and swept towards Hela, destroying every thorn that Hela has summoned to dust!
“Touch of Death!” Hela shouted as she jumped off the undead dragon and summoned countless tentacles to block the purple wave. However, the Power Gem was too much for Hela right now as the Purple light wave just slashed all the tentacles coming its way! The purple light hit the undead dragon and cut it in two before the undead dragon fell into the sea.
Hulk that was on top of the undead dragon roared as he also fell into the sea! As for Hela, she was cut in two along with her undead dragon, but strangely enough, she just floated in the air!
“Mortal! You will regret angering a goddess like me!” Hela shouted angrily as her body was put back together, restoring her to her normal state once again. Hela immediately teleported as soon as her body was recovered and reappeared behind Dio with two thorns that were ready to stab Dio in the head and heart!
Dio already knew from long ago that Hela had the ability to walk through space. Furthermore, with [King Crimson]’s ability to see the future, he wasn’t surprised anymore! He immediately launched a counter-attack as soon as Hela appeared behind him! The [Reaper’s Gaze] was swung toward Hela from a weird angle. Dio dodged the thorns, but he was still stabbed in his shoulder and abdomen. Luckily, it didn’t hit any vital spot because Dio dodged it to some extent!
But the more surprising thing was that Hela’s thorn pierced right through Dio’s Hamon Energy barrier as if it was just a piece of paper. Even so, Dio wasn’t surprised. Hela was the Goddess of Death, meaning that Hamon Energy that was created from life energy wouldn’t be able to stop the Death Energy that Hela constantly discharged in her thorn! After barely avoiding death, Dio quickly got up and pulled out the thorns that were still hanging on his body. Dio immediately used ‘Reality Overwrite’ to erase the injuries that he got from Hela just now.
Dio then whistled, controlling the [Reaper’s Gaze] to attack Hela from afar, but Hela didn’t care. She attacked Dio relentlessly with her thorns, blocking Dio’s escape route in the process. Dio had a hard time dealing with Hela’s aggressive attack and immediately used Epitaph to see where he could dodge Hela’s attack! But seeing that her opponent was flustered, Hela just smirked even though her body was cut in half.
Hela threw a huge thorn in Dio’s direction as she knew that Dio didn’t have any other place to escape, but as soon as the thorn got close to Dio, it suddenly passed through Dio like the thorn was just an illusion! It didn’t look normal at all as the thorn wasn’t something that could be manipulated easily! Hela was startled as she now didn’t have any thorn to attack or block the attack from Dio.
As such, she still had something that could become the human’s demise. She reached out to Dio and grabbed his neck! “Death Touch!” Hela said triumphantly. But Dio still kept his calm. He immediately used Epitaph once more and saw that he successfully split Hela in half with his scythe, but he was also killed by Hela’s Death Touch. Did he want to delete this future? Although not dying was a must, this meant he’d lse his first momentum to attack Hela!
So, Dio chose another way to change his future! “[The World]!” Dio shouted as the time suddenly stopped, Hela’s hand that nearly touched his neck stopped in place, but the scythe that was the extension of Dio’s body didn’t!
“Dance of the Red Scythe!” Dio confidently said as he wielded the [Reaper’s Gaze] once more and attacked Hela! The countless red light that appeared from the excited [Reaper’s Gaze] was mixed with the purple light from the Power Gem imbued on the scythe, blooming colours in the air around Dio and Hela!
Dio shouted once again, resuming the time once again. Hela that has been slashed to pieces instantly evaporated as soon as the time was back to normal, disappearing without a trace. The purple light that appeared along with Hela’s disintegration was so strong that even part of the sea beneath where they were fighting was evaporated for a moment before the seawater around it refilled it!
“Did you kill her?” Valkyrie asked curiously.
Dio just huffed as he threw the [Reaper’s Gaze] to the beach, trying to calm the Power Gem a little bit after releasing so much energy just now. in addition to that, he already overexerted himself. He used [The World]’s Time Stop ability and Reality Overwrite ability, on top of [King Crimson]’s Epitaph ability and time Erasure ability!
Dio himself couldn’t remember how many times he killed Hela in this short amount of time, but Hela just kept coming back, giving Dio a headache as she was really insufferable! Just now, with his attack, when he stopped the time, he believed that every cell of Hela had been erased by the powerful energy released from Power Gem. Now, Dio just had to wait to see whether Hela would be able to resurrect herself from that!
At the same time, Thor that was inside the Treasure Vault in the palace felt a vibrating power in the air! He no longer hesitated and threw Surtur’s Crown into the Eternal Flame! “Now, with the Eternal Flame, you are born again and free to do what your fate dictates!” Thor said as he saw that the Eternal Flame was gradually being absorbed into Surtur’s Crown. At the same moment, he realised that his mission wasn’t to prevent the Ragnarok from happening, but to make sure that Ragnarok happened smoothly without any hitch!
Otherwise, The Flame Giant Surtur would never be resurrected, and Ragnarok would never happen, resulting in Hela’s endless domination of the Nine Realms!
