Dio didn’t show the slightest change of emotion while Valkyrie couldn’t contain her surprise. No wonder this old fox let his own confidant to be his avatar! It appeared that the Grandmaster had already known that Dio had contacted Valkyrie repeatedly in the past and laid a trap for Dio to pick Valkyrie!
It was clear that the Grandmaster didn’t want Dio to pick any Avatar whose fatal point wasn’t on their head or heart! The Grandmaster really was a cunning prick!
“No 6!” Dio carried on calmly. The Grandmaster then ripped off the leg of the doll, revealing the number 6. At this point, Dio had already picked all the safe limbs. The remaining three choices were dangerous, and so, he had to pick wisely! Now, it was getting tricky as the Grandmaster still had the safe limb, which was the right arm. In addition, Dio didn’t even know Topaz’s race that well. They might not die even they were disembowelled for all he knew! The only choice that might give assure Dio’s victory was probably if the Grandmaster chose the head!
Dio walked towards the sword, and once more stabbed Valkyrie with it, now on her left leg.
“My turn now! This time I will choose number 2!” The Grandmaster said giddily. Dio pulled out the doll’s right arm, as it had the number 2! Suddenly, Valkyrie knew that it wouldn’t end well for her, it was Dio’s turn next, and she only got 3 deadly options left!
“Die, trash!” Topaz taunted Valkyrie with a smirk on her face after being stabbed on her right arm!
“Number 7!” Dio said clearly. It was the abdomen! Out of the three options left, Dio believed that Valkyrie had a certain possibility to survive with a stab in the abdomen! This time, he couldn’t help but think of the time he studied human anatomy with Cristine. With his knife, Dio confidently stabbed Valkyrie in the spot that would cause minimal damage to Valkyrie.
“Can you hold on?” Dio asked Valkyrie without any expression.
“Stop talking and win this bullshit game already! Otherwise, there is no point in all this!” Valkyrie said while still gritting her teeth, enduring the pain. Dio nodded, but then he noticed that the blood that came out of Valkyrie’s wound started to turn black!
“You poisoned the sword?” Dio turned his attention to the Grandmaster!
The Grandmaster froze for a moment and patted his cheek like he was really trying to remember something. “Ah, I probably did, but does it matter? We are betting their lives anyway, and don’t you think this is more interesting?” The Grandmaster said with a wide grin on his face.
“What about the sword you used on her?” Dio said as he pointed his finger towards Topaz, he didn’t found any indication that Topaz had been poisoned.
“I don’t know, but I guarantee you that all 14 swords were all the same! If yours was poisoned, then my swords should be as well! I am the Grandmaster, I wouldn’t cheat on a game!” The Grandmaster said confidently.
“It doesn’t matter. My body is immune to most toxins in the universe! Stop making a fuss!” Topaz said while laughing. It was clear for Dio that the Grandmaster was willing to do anything to win a game! No wonder the Grandmaster was overly confident from the get-go that he would win.
Now, Dio couldn’t hide his feeling anymore as he looked at the Grandmaster with disdain. “Your turn now!” Dio said coldly. The Grandmaster didn’t even waste a second and immeditely chose number 6, the abdomen of the doll on Dio’s hand!
“Hahaha, it seems that I won this little game of ours!” The Grandmaster excitedly said as he stabbed Topaz’s stomach. It was clear that Topaz could feel the pain from the last stab, but she wouldn’t die from it at the moment! Now, Dio had two numbers left to choose, and whichever it was would be fatal to Valkyrie! At the same time, Valkyrie that has lost a lot of blood and had poison in her system seemed to be dying.
But Dio just laughed, it wasn’t some sarcastic or some taunting laugh, but it was truly a laugh filled with confidence! “Don’t get too excited now. It wouldn’t be over until it was! I choose number 1!” Dio said confidently. The Grandmaster knew Valkyrie well. She was an outstanding warrior, but she didn’t have any physical anomaly like Topaz! In his opinion, Dio was just bluffing as he was struggling to try to win the game!
“No 1 is the heart! It seems that your luck has run out now!” The Grandmaster said with a smile on his face. He was happy that Dio had introduced this game to him as it was really exciting for the bored Grandmaster! If he could experience this game himself, clearly, it would have been more fun! But it was a pity that he couldn’t join the game as it was supposed to be as he couldn’t be wounded by some common weapon!
Dio ignored the smug look on the Grandmaster’s face and summoned [The World] immediately! “Smash the World!” Dio indifferently said as he stopped the time! Dio then walked towards Valkyrie and immediately pumped Valkyrie’s heart full of [Gold Experience] energy to create another heart in front of her original heart! He then used his Reality Overwrite ability and changed the fact that Valkyrie was poisoning like it never happened!
After doing all that, Dio then returned to his original spot and resumed the time flow! Dio then stabbed Valkyrie in the heart without any hesitation! The Grandmaster clearly saw it all, and he didn’t see any problem with it, but to his surprise, Scrapper 142 was still alive! Her complexion seemed to improve, in fact. Clearly, the poison was neutralized!
The Grandmaster began to wonder what was happening. He wondered whether Dio missed her heart on purpose to win the game? But as of now, he was very skeptical that Scrapper 142 would stay alive after being stabbed in the heart!
Dio laughed and looked at the Grandmaster with a wide smile on his face. “My luck is really great! I didn’t expect you not to know of Scrapper 142’s condition! She has 2 hearts!” Dio said while laughing out loud.
“That is impossible!” The Grandmaster said as he was startled by Dio’s revelation. He then waved his hand, and several men quickly came forward with a certain instrument to check on Scrapper 142’s condition!
