“Scrapper 142, I have 10 million for you if you join this game with me!” The Grandmaster smiled as he asked Valkyrie to be his stand-in. But Valkyrie wasn’t tempted by the amount of money this time! Her intuition told her that the game that the Grandmaster was about to play was a dangerous one. So, she rejected the Grandmaster’s request and walked away from the room. Several guards that tried to stop her from leaving instantly hit the ground as she knocked them all down.
But before she could actually leave, she was stopped by a red energy barrier! The Grandmaster smiled as all was going according to his expectation! The Grandmaster was a man that wasn’t fond of rejection after all! “So, who would you pick as your avatar? Don’t worry. You can pick anyone you want.” The Grandmaster said as he smiled at Dio.
Dio sighed and looked around for a bit. “Well, if that’s the case, then I will pick her!” Dio said as he pointed towards Valkyrie. The Grandmaster instantly frowned as he felt like someone was snatching his toy right out of his hand! “Didn’t you say that I could choose anyone I want? Then I will pick her as my proxy!” Dio said casually.
“Alright, since you are my guest, I will relent to you this time! Then I choose Topaz as my avatar!” The Grandmaster said indifferently. At the same time, Topaz immediately walked towards the Grandmaster without a care in the world.
It was an unexpected choice as Dio never thought that the Grandmaster would choose his confidant, his right-hand woman, to join the game! At the same time, Valkyrie that was still confused by all this, walked towards Dio. “What the hell is happening? What game are you playing?” Valkyrie asked confusedly.
Dio then briefly explained the game that Valkyrie was about to partake in, and with that out of the way, Valkyrie’s complexion turned morbid. She stared at the Grandmaster coldly as if looking at some disgusting criminal.
“Oh, bummer! Don’t look at me like that! The person that recommended this game is that man! But as long as you can survive, I will still give you your ten million stars!” the Grandmaster smiled like it wasn’t a big deal.
“Do you believe me?” Dio asked Valkyrie calmly. If he had any other choice, he wouldn’t pick Valkyrie as his proxy as a random guard would suffice! But if he didn’t choose Valkyrie, she would become the Grandmaster’s proxy, and Dio didn’t like the idea that he would ruin Valkyrie because of his game. Dio thought that Valkyrie had a good relationship with the Grandmaster, but seeing that the Grandmaster picked her without any second thought made Dio wonder if the Grandmaster only considered her as his toy!
No one really knew what the Grandmaster was thinking, so Dio couldn’t know for sure.
“Do I still have a choice to turn this sick game down?” Valkyrie said coldly. She was disappointed with herself as she should be more aware of the Grandmaster’s wicked thought than anyone else. Although the Grandmaster has not dirtied his hands for so many years, he was still the ruler of Sakaar, the most savage planet in the universe!
But at the same time, she had no other choice but to believe in Dio as she knew that it was a better choice than becoming the Grandmaster’s proxy.
“I think we should start the game! Come on, let’s tie Scrapper 142 and Topaz down!” The Grandmaster said excitedly. Some guards immediately came and took Valkyrie and Topaz and tied them to a chair. Dio and the Grandmaster immediately went into a separate room to mark their doll without any interruption. At the same time, the Grandmaster unsurprisingly resorted to a dirty trick as he used the hidden camera inside Dio’s room to start observing where Dio marked his number on the doll!

So no matter how hard the Grandmaster was trying to observe, he wouldn’t be able to see where Dio marked the number.
After finding out that he wouldn’t be able to cheat using the method he thought about, the Grandmaster began to prepare for the game. A few minutes later, Dio and the Grandmaster returned to the room where Valkyrie and Topaz were still tied to their respective chair. Dio and the Grandmaster then stood across from each other with a securely tied doll on their side.
“Before the game begins, what are we betting?” The Grandmaster asked curiously.
“Since this is a life-sacrificing game, then the bets should be another life!” Dio said casually.
“Alright!” The Grandmaster said excitedly without any hesitation. After reaching an agreement, Dio immediately summoned [Osiris] to steal the Grandmaster’s soul once he lost the game.
“So, who goes first?” the Grandmaster asked once again.
“Let’s go with a coin toss! The one that picks the right side decides who goes first.” Dio said indifferently. Unlike any other casual game, this game could be over as soon as the first person guessed the right number every time!
“Alright, but I want to be the one throwing the coin.” The Grandmaster said casually.
“Feel free to do so!” Dio said indifferently.
The Grandmaster then took a gold coin and flipped the coin, one side contained an unknown image of a flower, and the other side had a bunch of squiggly lines that looked like a word of an unknown language. Dio immediately used [King Crimson]’s epitaph ability to see into the future! “Word!” Dio shouted confidently. The Grandmaster lifted his hand, and the coin showed the ‘Word’ side.
“Alright, you win!” The Grandmaster said casually. He then tossed the coin aside as he no longer needed it. Actually, the Grandmaster used a sleight of hand to throw the coin to make sure it would fool Dio’s sight, but Dio still got it correct. But how would the Grandmaster know that Dio could see the future?
Even if he did, it wouldn’t matter anyway, for the Grandmaster had absolute confidence in winning the game! Dio smiled as he wasn’t surprised that he would win the coin toss and looked at the Grandmaster’s doll for a while. “Alright, you go first!” Dio said casually.
