Regardless of what Valkyrie wanted to do, Dio has been relaxing for a few days, waiting for the Grandmaster’s Championship to start. In the days that Dio has been waiting for, the Grandmaster invited Dio to join him in his exclusive room to watch the championship.
“My friend, let us watch the championship together!” The Grandmaster welcomed Dio warmly. Dio just smiled and sat down on the sofa on the other side of the Grandmaster. The room was full of guards that Dio thought were there to guard the Grandmaster, but it didn’t matter to him, so he ignored them all! But one thing that Dio was wondering about was Loki’s whereabouts! That maniac was supposed to be here as he also fell to Sakaar!
But Loki probably fell into another planet, completely changing the plot of the story! But hey, changing things were Loki’s forte anyway, so this was nothing new! It didn’t matter right now as Dio knew that he must focus on the task at hand.
“Are you going to start now?” Dio said as he watched 2 groups of gladiators entered the arena. The crowds began to cheer as there were more than 100.000 people in the arena, and because of that, the cheering was extremely loud.
“We will start with the warm-up first. After all, it’s common sense to serve the appetizer first before the main course! So, are you interested in gambling for who might win in the end?” The Grandmaster asked with a big smirk on his face.
“So, how do I join?” Dio asked as he was interested in the opportunity of gambling here.
“Well, it was easy, but our gamble is about how long the challenger could stand their ground against my champion!” the Grandmaster said with a smirk on his face. Dio frowned a little as the gambling would revolve around how long the Challenger would last. It wasn’t about who would win in the end! The Grandmaster was truly conceited through and through!
However, Dio wondered why the Grandmaster was so confident with the Hulk? The Grandmaster was supposed to know who Thor really was, and if he still had the luxury to be this confident, that meant the Grandmaster was aware of Thor’s situation! At the same time, Dio remembered that the Grandmaster zapped Thor, resulting in the Hulk winning the match on the plot he watched in the past, so there was a certain possibility that it would happen today too!
Although anybody who has seen their physical features would immediately determine that Thor wasn’t an opponent that could win against the Hulk, the Grandmaster still had a trick up his sleeve in case of something unpredicted would happen. Dio wondered whether he should praise the Grandmaster for how cunning he was or should he reprimand him for something deplorable!
But one thing for sure is that there was no way Dio’s bid would ever win against the Grandmaster!
“Forget it! I am not interested in this kind of gambling!” Dio said coldly.
“Are you sure? Gambling is the most fun thing in this place! Blindly speaking, I already gambled in all kinds of methods that this universe has to offer! I wonder what kind of gambling would you like to do with me!” The Grandmaster said with the smirk still attached to his face.
Dio then took a deep look at the Grandmaster and sighed, “I’m not interested in your gamble. It’s no longer a gamble when your opponent had no chance to win, isn’t it? It will be a different matter if I have a justified chance of winning.” Dio said coldly. The Grandmaster’s expression suddenly froze as he didn’t expect Dio to read his card like that! The atmosphere in the room suddenly changed as it was obvious that the Grandmaster didn’t like what he had just heard, and the people inside the room were trying hard not to show it on their faces as they knew that the Grandmaster could fall into a rage.
But Dio was indifferent. He didn’t care about the rising tension inside the room and continued talking nonchalantly. “Now, I have a game in mind, but in order to play, you have to watch the show, and I will tell you about it later!” Dio said casually.
“If that’s the case, I will be looking forward to it!” the Grandmaster said calmly. The intense atmosphere in the room instantly disappeared. At the same time, the warm-up show has come to an end, and the arena was empty once again. One person triumphed, and so, the audience roared in joy and excitement. But in actuality, the winner didn’t kill anyone, it was all staged, and the losers were just pretending to be dead to rile up the audiences.
At the same time, a huge projection of the Grandmaster appeared in the air in the middle of the arena. “Thank you for coming to my championship, my lovely audiences! What a wonderful evening we are having! Are you happy here?” the Grandmaster said brightly. “Please give a round of applause to the gladiator that has opened the show rather brilliantly! Now, we have come to our main event! The Challenger this time comes here for the first time, and he looks promising!” the Grandmaster said excitedly.
“So, without further ado, ladies and gentlemen! The Little Spark!” The Grandmaster said grandiosely, and Thor came out of the door on the side of the arena, entering the arena for his fight. The crowds immediately cheered as they were looking forward to what Thor could do.
Dio frowned as he saw Thor’s ragged appearance, and the hair that he was so proud of was already cut short. There was no doubt that Thor would get the terrible god of the month award at his current state!
“What’s wrong? Is the drink not to your liking?” The Grandmaster said with worry in his eyes.
“No, it’s just the Challenger doesn’t look good at all. Are you sure this would be an exciting battle?” Dio asked with a frown on his face.
“Don’t worry, Little Spark would surely bring a big surprise!” the Grandmaster said excitedly.
“Well, if that’s the case, then let us watch the show!” Dio said with a sigh. Grandmaster’s introduction wet on, and a green smoke bomb instantly covered the entire arena as the Grandmaster introduced his Champion!
