Silva waited for them to make the first move. He had a mind focused on each one of them, and the rest of his mind for processing the fight.
He might have more power than all of them, but they were all variants of him that had access to systems as well, or had access. They would definitely possess an arsenal of unique skills that he hadn’t seen before.
So even as a demigod, he had to keep his senses sharp as he fought. But as he watched them, they also watched him. No one moved, turning the situation into a stalemate before they started.
Then all of a sudden, a middle-aged variant moved. Black lightning blazed all over his body and he was gone in a flash.
Silva had not seen anyone with that amount of speed before. He tried to follow with his eyes, but even that was hard for him.
Luckily, he was able to predict where the attack would come from at the last moment. It was the benefit of several powerful minds.
He turned around and used his sword to block at the right moment. As both swords collided, it caused a shockwave powerful enough to rip up the earth beneath them.
“I’m the fifth, and honestly, I hate you, Eight,” Fifth said.
“That’s awfully bad, hating a child,” Silva said. His sword exploded with black flames. Fifth pushed back to not get burned by the flames.
“Black flames, the flame of the Demon Lord. How did you get it if you never killed her?” Fifth said.
“I don’t know what you are babbling about,” Silva said and went in for a slash, but before he moved, he felt something was not right. Immediately, he wrapped himself in his wings, and a barrage of purple swords fell from the sky on him.
Each one that hit caused a massive explosion, enough to bring down a castle, and more than a hundred of them fell on Silva.
When the attack ended, all the variants wanted to see what happened to Silva, but as the explosions cleared up, they didn’t see anyone there.
“That was a nice attack. Here’s mine,” Silva said. He readied his hand above his head and a massive black fireball formed.
He hurled the fireball at the Fifth. The Fifth used his sword to cut through the fireball, but as the flame touched the sword, an explosion followed, sending the Fifth crashing to the ground.
“Is this truly the strength that you guys want to defeat me? Sincerely, I am appalled,” Silva said.
“You were saying?” Silva heard a voice right behind him. He turned around as fast as he could, but Second was already slashing for Silva’s gut.
Silva covered his abdomen with scales, taking the attack. He didn’t get injured, but the force pushed him back several meters.
Silva had barely stabilized himself, and the Second was already right in front of him with his sword thrusting for Silva’s heart.
Silva reacted quickly, blocking the attack. He pushed the Second back, but the Second came right in front of him in an instant again.
Silva couldn’t understand how the Second was moving like that. It didn’t make any sense. He blocked another attack and they got into a sword fight, their swords clashing in rapid succession.
Each clash caused a massive shockwave that started breaking the ground apart.
Silva was fully focused on fighting the Second, but the other five were not going to allow that to happen. One of the younger variants took to the air, his sword in hand, ready to stab Silva from behind.
Silva spotted the incoming variant and frowned. “Fuck this,” he said and then summoned his clones—five of them. One of the clones moved very fast and blocked the variant that attacked.
“Let’s make this an equal battle, don’t you think?” Silva said with a smile. He pushed the Second back to get some space.
All the clones moved to go fight the other variants while Silva faced off the Second.
“It seems you are stronger and more resourceful than I thought you would be,” Second said.
“Boy, I’m just playing with you guys here. Try to make me serious,” Silva said. Second frowned when he heard that. He moved again with the same impossible speed. He slashed at Silva from different angles, all at the same time.
Silva saw multiple attacks coming at the same time, all targeted at vital parts of his body. He moved his hands as fast as he could, attempting to block all the attacks.
He blocked all of them by pushing his body as fast as possible, but a few attacks cut through his body. His blood sprayed. He groaned in pain.
“You can’t hope to beat me in the sword. I think it’s better you pull out one of your skills that you have,” Second said.
“Stop getting cocky over nothing, idiot,” Silva said and suddenly vanished, using flash step to boost his speed.
“I’ll use my sword as much as I want,” he said as he appeared behind Second. He slashed down with his full strength, channelling his will through the sword.
“Let’s give him a full dose,” Silva said.
“Yes, master,” the sword replied. Second blocked the attack with his sword, but the force shot him down. He slammed into the ground, creating a massive crater.
Second got back up and instantly reached Silva with his sword going for a stab again.
“I hate when you do that,” Silva said and blocked the attack.
He didn’t understand how Second was able to cover such distance in such time. It was like teleportation, but even that had a small prep time before it happened—a split second, or a full second.
But this… this was not teleportation. It was like he was there already, like he never left. It was not an offensive type of skill, but a very dangerous one.
And Silva wanted that ability.
“I think it’s time I use Gluttony.”
