This caused quite a bit of trouble for the guards stationed here, but Polly and others didn’t mind; they rather enjoyed the excitement it added to their mundane lives.
“Captain, look, it was these two things fighting, making a huge ruckus, and we took care of them in a jiffy.”
Inside the camp, two men and one woman returned, dragging back the fierce-looking corpses of two magicalized beasts to complete their mission.
“It was tough,” Polly simply said.
“Captain, we’ll be heading off then.”
“Go on, the recent situations have been numerous, do not let your guard down.”
The two male team members left the room as instructed, but the female team member, Shena, stayed, comfortably finding a chair to sit on and smiling warmly at her team captain.

“Why do you care so much, aren’t the magic stones he sent over enough to keep your mouth shut? Taking people’s money for services rendered, and now we just need to clear out some low-level magicalized beasts,” Polly scolded softly, not indulging her.
“It’s just casual talk, aren’t you curious? Lord Marichadon is a great enchanter, creator of the Black Magic Wind Fire Array; he might be creating some earth-shattering Formation down there,” Shena leaned forward as she spoke.
“I am not curious, sometimes knowing too much isn’t a good thing,” Polly remained unmoved.
“What if it could change the sorcerer world like the Black Magic Wind Fire Array did? If that’s the case, we could be considered indirect participants, witnesses of history, doesn’t that excite you the slightest bit?”
“I think you’re just bored; why don’t you head west—” Polly rolled her eyes.
“Captain, I just remembered I haven’t had lunch yet, I’ll see you later.” Hearing this, Shena shuddered and darted out of the room.
Polly was left alone; she slowly walked to the doorway, smiling softly as she shook her head.
When her gaze shifted to the patches of elemental clouds in the low sky not far away, her expression turned solemn; she came from an intermediate sorcerer family, not as inexperienced as Shena.
If her observations were correct, Lord Marichadon in the magic stone mine might be advancing to the rare position of a Level 3 Sorcerer.
Just then, a loud beast roar pierced through the ground, causing it to shake violently, dispersing the gathered elements, creating an utterly terrifying scene.
“Captain!”
“Captain, is it a powerful magicalized creature attacking?”
“Everyone, stay calm, it’s an internal situation in the magic stone mine, Lord Marichadon specifically mentioned it’s a normal occurrence, we don’t need to concern ourselves with this.”
Hearing the commotion, the team rushed over.
Polly reassured everyone, still staring solemnly at the location of the magic stone mine, feeling a bit perplexed, wondering if her judgment was wrong.

“How dare you!”
Seeing the Black Magic Wind Barrier itself unable to suppress the scene, Jenny quickly stepped forward. She didn’t take any other action, transforming herself into a handful of Pan Iron Root instead.
The Pan Iron Root circumvented the tentacles and runes chains, tightly coiling around the Dust Python.
To avoid disrupting the operation of the Black Magic Wind Barrier, she chose the most direct and simplest method, plunging alone into the maelstrom of dust storm and explosion, using her body to suppress the Dust Python’s riot.

As time progressed, the roars of the Dust Python grew weaker until it finally calmed down.
The handful of Pan Iron Root slowly extricated itself, showing several scorches and evident damage on its surface, flying into a corner and transforming back into Jenny. Her delicate appearance now bore additional dishevelment, with patches of blue and purple on her face.
Jenny didn’t mind; she sat back down in the corner, silently guarding the area.
In fact, this was not her first time taking action.
During the same time frame, inside the Black Magic Wind Barrier’s living area, Ivan was still hidden within the cocoon.
Of course, he sensed the turbulence below but had no spare energy to intervene. His energy was needed for his own transformation and to counteract the descent of his will.
