Chapter 29
Feng Sheng picked up the phone and fidgetted around with it. He did not ask the chauffeur to start driving.
The white phone was twirling between his long and bony fingers. After a few seconds of fidgeting, Luo Yangyang’s cellphone rang.
Feng Sheng lowered his head to look at the caller ID and saw the name ‘Teacher Wen’ displayed across the screen.
The phone kept ringing. Feng Sheng finally picked up the phone after staring at it for a while.
An excited melodious female voice sounded in Feng Sheng’s ear, “Yangyang, good news. Your script was chosen by Director Hua Yifei. He said he wants to meet you and asked if you’re free.”
Hua Yifei was a young director who recently got famous. According to various sources, he was quite a talented man. His evaluation by other people in the industry was rather high as well. They all said that he was an extraordinary and genius director.
Feng Sheng did not pay attention to entertainment news, but he did watch a movie directed by Director Hua Yifei last yea. That was why he was not unfamiliar with that name.
Luo Yangyang’s major in the Film Academy was Drama, Film, and Television. Basically, it was screenwriting.
She was only in her second year and her script had already been chosen by Hua Yifei. It turns out that she was not as useless as he thought after all.
“Luo Yangyang’s in class. You can find her in the classroom,” Feng Sheng replied. He peered at the Film Academy, but Luo Yangyang was nowhere to be seen.
He hung up after saying that, not giving Teacher Wen any time to react.
While putting down the cell phone, Feng Sheng said coldly to the driver, “Start the car.”
That night, Feng Sheng did not come home for dinner because he had to entertain his clients.
When he was about to leave the restaurant after he was done, a group of people were following him through the corridor. After walking for a bit, he stopped suddenly.
In the dining hall with the big french windows, he saw Luo Yangyang sitting at the table near the window on his right. He had a smile on his face.
Under the gentle moonlight, she looked like she was covered in a mysterious glow. She looked girly and feminine in her pink dress. There was an air of innocence around her, and Feng Sheng found her enticing.
Feng Sheng’s cold eyes squinted as he watched Luo Yangyang closely.
He recalled that she had never smiled so carefreely in front of him before.
There was a man sitting opposite her. He was wearing something casual. There was visible stubble on his face, but he was good looking nonetheless. There was an air of decadence around him and it seemed like he had a devil-may-care attitude.
When Feng Sheng stopped suddenly, the hearts of the people behind him sank. They thought that there had been a change in the agreement tonight. They began to sweat buckets out of worry and concern that the agreement had fallen through.
Luo Yangyang got along well with Hua Yifei. Both of them were so focused on their chat that they did not notice a man with a cold and menacing aura approaching them.
“Can we really start shooting next month?” Luo Yangyang’s shiny obsidian eyes looked at Hua Yifei excitedly.
Her script had been chosen and they wanted to shoot the movie soon. It felt like her excitement was about to overflow from her eyes.
“Of course. The funds are ready, so we’ll choose the male and female lead after a few days. Very soon we can…”
Hua Yifei looked at Luo Yangyang with her collagen-filled young face. It was as if her hair was fluttering with youth and innocence. He was in a good mood.
However, the young girl opposite him suddenly stood up nervously in the middle of his sentence. Fear was evident in her gigantic eyes.
Hua Yifei stopped talking and looked at Luo Yangyang in that state. He followed her gaze and looked behind him.
Luo Yangyang’s hands grasped at her skirt as she stared at the emotionless Feng Sheng who was walking toward her. She felt as if she was being caught in the middle of a raid.
Feng Sheng’s legs were long, so he could walk fast. He got to the table in a few refined steps and was staring bleakly at her the entire time.
Hua Yifei looked at the menacing Feng Sheng who had invited himself over and raised his decadent eyebrows. He asked Luo Yangyang without getting up, “Who is he?”
