With the illumination provided by the obscure moonlight, Ling Chuxi took a clear look at the Wind Owl Beast. Its body was as large as a lion and it had two sharp horns atop its head. Its limbs were strong and mighty. Whenever it moved, it was as though there was wind beneath its feet. At present, it was glaring at Ling Chuxi fiercely.
Little White was curled around Ling Chuxi’s neck, but now, it leaped down and stood aside.
Ling Chuxi drew the Luo Chen Sword even as she thought of countermeasures in her heart. The injured man wasn’t wrong. The cultivation possessed by the two secret guards was at least Battle Qi Level-8 for each of them. Yet, they were no match for the Wind Owl Beast. How was she to obtain victory? Should she try poisoning it? Killing the Wind Owl Beast with poison was possible, but the problem was that she did not have such a potent poison at hand right now. The Wind Owl Beast was a monster beast which meant that ordinary poisons would be ineffective against it. No matter how she combined all the poisons in the fifth princess’ bag, it would be impossible to poison a Level 5 monster beast to death.
The Wind Owl Beast seemed to be estimating its opponent’s cultivation level while Ling Chuxi was deep in thought. Now, it had confirmed that this other party was no match for it. And so, with a low roar, it rushed forward.

A gale rose just as a chill did in Ling Chuxi’s heart. She raised her sword to block the attack!
A piercing clang rang through the dark night. The friction of the clash between the Wind Owl Beast’s claw and the Luo Chen Sword sent sparks flying!
The very next moment, Ling Chuxi felt an enormous wave of strength coming towards her. It was difficult to resist it and as a result, it repelled her directly. With an agile backflip, Ling Chuxi just managed to stabilize herself when the Wind Owl Beast had once again launched another attack and appeared before her!
“Break!” Ling Chuxi circulated the Thundercloud Battle Qi throughout her body. Right then, the air seemed to fill with small electrical sparks and low crackling sounds. Ling Chuxi aimed the strike of her sword at the Wind Owl Beast’s nose. It looked soft and prone to wounding. The Wind Owl Beast let out a roar, it could tell the Battle Qi it was facing was extraordinary.
Ling Chuxi’s judgement proved right. After the Wind Owl Beast was attacked by a move that was full of tyrannical strength, it let out a roar of pain. It suddenly reached out a claw and ruthlessly slashed down on Ling Chuxi’s shoulder. Ling Chuxi frowned and quickly dodged, but some of her skin still ended up getting grazed by the claw.
Ling Chuxi pulled back, clasping the Luo Chen Sword tightly in her hand as she continued to confront the Wind Owl Beast. It looked as though it was going to go mad. To actually be wounded by a human being was a provocation against its heart and body.
Blood oozed from Ling Chuxi’s shoulder, slowly blooming red across her clothes. She didn’t dare be careless. Her grip tightened around her sword as she prepared to attack the Wind Owl Beast again.
The Wind Owl Beast let out a roar of anger. Its nose was a mess of flesh and blood, but it was still exhaling hot air. Just as it was gearing up to attack Ling Chuxi, a sudden change took place!
An unknown figure suddenly descended from the night sky, elegantly landing in front of the Wind Owl Beast, blocking off Ling Chuxi from its line of attack. Ling Chuxi was stunned. The man before her stood tall with a straight posture that was covered with a flow of long enchanting silver hair. Even his heels carried an indescribable infinite style. Because his back was towards her, Ling Chuxi could not see his face clearly.
