She searched the house one more time, but still did not find Little White. Ling Chuxi grew increasingly more panicked. If Little White was caught by others, that would be really bad.

“Little White, where did you go?” She ran forward and cuddled Little White in her arms before lifting it up and fiercely kissing it. “You scared me to death. If you are no longer around, what would I do?”
Little White shook its ears lightly and moved its snout forward, licking Ling Chuxi’s face.
“So ticklish, haha. Alright, let’s go to bed.”
Hugging Little While, Ling Chuxi snuggled under the blanket and cuddled it to sleep.
The next morning, Shi Qu Town was in an uproar. The fact that something had happened to Qin Nanfeng of the Qin family and Luo Qiying of the Luo family was a big deal.

“Aunty, you are too courteous. My name is Lan Xinyu. Aunty, you can just call me Xinyu,” said Lan Xinyu. She spoke as if she was very familiar with Aunt Wang. Then, she accepted the bowl of rice and started eating.
Ling Chuxi muttered, “Hope you choke to death.” She bit on her chopsticks and the corner of her lips twitched as she watched Lan Xinyu eating so happily.
‘What exactly was Master Lan thinking to actually send this plaugue god over?’
Ling Chuxi harrumphed before reaching for a meat bun with her chopsticks. Just as she was about to pick it up, another pair of chopsticks also reached for the same meat bun. Raising her head, Ling Chuxi saw Lan Xinyu staring at her without the slighest intention of yielding the meat bun.
“Let go!” said Ling Chuxi, spitting out the words through gritted teeth.
“No!” growled Lan Xinyu, also speaking through gritted teeth.
“I’m going to kill you!” shouted Ling Chuxi angrily.
How dare she snatch her food like this? Lan Xinyu was practically throwing away her own life!
