As Feng Yun and Mu Wenquan entered the mansion, they found it was pretty spacious.
“Chi! CHi! CHi ! CHi!!!”
Their arrival seemed to awaken the beasts that were hiding in the mansion. They let out strange noises as a warning. Soon a few silhouettes came into the view of Feng Yun and Mu Wenquan.
“Devouring Rats!” Feng Yun looked at the few big rats and muttered softly.
“The devouring rats live in groups. Their nest must be in this mansion.” Feng Yun muttered calmly. Just as Feng Yun spoke, many rats came out from the dark. Each one of them was bigger than a normal horse.
“Feng Yun, there might hundreds of them inside their nest. I don’t think it’s a good idea, let’s go back. Anyway, with them here, I don’t think there should be any treasure left here.” Mu Wenquan spoke with a frown as she looked at the tens of rats in front of her. The devouring rats like to devour everything that contained spirit qi, they must have emptied all the treasures of this mansion already.
Feng Yun pondered a moment and nodded inwardly with her. However before they could leave, the devouring rats attacked them.

Mu Wenquan did as she was told and used her phoenix heavenly flame to burn the devouring rats.
Feng Yun and Mu Wenquan continued to kill the devouring rats, but their numbers didn’t seem like decreasing at all.
“There is no end to them.” Mu Wenquan said in frustration.
“Just continue, there can’t be so many of them.” Feng Yun said, then exploded his true strength.
Suddenly, Feng Yun felt the earth start trembling like an earthquake. Feng Yun’s expression changed slightly, he shouted loudly as he slammed into the ground before jumping into the air, “Wenquan, Dodge!”
Mu Wenquan immediately jumped into the air with Feng Yun.
“Raaaoooorrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
A huge head come out of the underground, it was a huge beast that just come out from underground. It was a fifty feet big sovereign rank devouring rat.
“So there is an Early Stage Sovereign Rank beast hiding here.” Feng Yun looked at the giant rat and murmured. Just as Feng Yun was about to attack, another earthquake appeared and one more giant rat surfaced. That was even bigger than the previous one.
“What the fuck! There is another one, and it’s even stronger than this guy. A mid-stage sovereign rank beast.” Feng Yun couldn’t help but cursed softly.
“Seventh Sword Form!” Now Feng Yun didn’t dare to delay. He decisively attacked the giant rat as soon as it appeared. Two red streaks of sword Qi shined in the dim mansion and moved toward the giant rat.

Seeing Mu Wenquan was in danger, Feng Yun used his movement skill and came to her, “Are you alright?”

Feng Yun looked at Mu Wenquan who was gasping for breath and said with concern, “You are exhausted, take a rest. I will handle these two rats.”
However, Mu Wenquan shook her head. She stuffed a few spirit gathering pills in her mouth and said with a firm expression, “I want to fight. I can’t always run away from pain.” Her battle spirit ignited as she glanced at the giant rat.
Feng Yun let out a soft smile. He couldn’t help but admire her heroic spirit inwardly. “Let’s work together to kill these two ugly rats.”

Feng Yun attacked first, followed by Mu Wenquan’s phoenix fire tornado. One could hear loud battle noises. The ruined mansion was further destroyed by the combined attack of two people.

“Feng Yun, thank you for supporting me.” Mu Wenquan said gratefully. Although she managed to defeat the sovereign rank beast, she couldn’t do it solo. She obtained the big help of Feng Yun in the battle.
“Don’t worry about it. Heal your wounds first!” Feng Yun waved his hand casually. Mu Wenquan nodded as she ate the healing pill and applied some elixir to her wounds as well.
After cleaning the devouring rats, Feng Yun and Mu Wenquan started looking for the treasures. The outer part of the mansion was pretty much ruined, so they walked into the inner part.
Feng Yun and Mu Wenquan searched the mansion, there were many big rooms in the mansion. Its interior didn’t look like a residence but rather a workshop. Soon, they found clues about the mansion, It was a pill concocting hall, disciples of the Ice Phoenix Clan used to come here to concoct the pills.

“These formations are built in a way that if someone tried to break them by force, they will explode and treasures inside of the room will be destroyed by the explosion.” Feng Yun said while he studied the formation pattern on the door and walls carefully.
Feng Yun opened the gate and entered the room. The room was small and looked like a treasure room. There were only three selves. This room should be used to hide and protect precious pills. There were a few jade bottles placed on the shelves.
