With the smokescreen active, the vision of the adult Behemoths became limited. They thought the invader was a tricky bastard who used the smokescreen to escape once it realized its situation was in peril.
However, they would be terribly mistaken if they thought Xu Feng had retreated from fear.
Previously, he feigned an act of retreat to cloud their judgment.
In fact, Xu Feng instantly made use of the smokescreen duration to activate yet another Dark Pact, sacrificing 10% of his health.
Additionally, he even used Shadow Veil to approach closer to the Behemoths.
Now that these Behemoths have finally used up all their skills and should be in cooldown, Xu Feng would be a fool to wait any longer.
'I let you all feel like a king earlier, so allow me to experience that feeling now.' Xu Feng sneered inwardly, swinging his staff and hitting at the critical flesh points.
Although the damage wasn't anything as impressive as the adult Behemoths' attack, it was still something, to say the least.
"Damn, my hand hurts just from trying to swing my staff." Xu Feng twitched his brows, feeling a numb sensation in his palm.
The Behemoths' defense was truly unbelievable, even higher than the Pyrite Drakes. Hell, the Pyrite Drakes pale in comparison when putting the two side by side.
'Ugh, this would have been so much easier if there was only one Behemoth.' He thought, finding the difficulty to be through the roof.
Had it not been for his appearance here, he doubted Carmen could even complete her mission, even if she had hired a mercenary.
It was no wonder why Librarian Grisedla was generous enough to offer her two EXP Potions and five Stamina Potions.
All Librarians are indeed nefarious and even their generosity was beyond fake.
Despite feeling so, Xu Feng was still slightly jealous of Carmen for such an opportunity. After all, he was positive that once she returned with the mission complete, she was going to get rewarded.
Most great rewards are usually correlated to dangerous missions. In other words, it was the high-risk, high-reward statement.
Brushing off these complicated thoughts, Xu Feng continued to strike at the Behemoth, ignoring the numbing sensation.
Meanwhile, the Behemoth was enraged by the audacity of Xu Feng to come into close contact. Originally, it was still wondering how it could approach him closer to stomp him to death.
Who would have thought Xu Feng would deliver himself to it?
As it attempted to raise its leg to make a devastating stomp, clearly trying to turn Xu Feng into a paste, Xu Feng equally sneered at its action.
'Do I look like a fool?' Xu Feng laughed inwardly, instantly having the Abyssal Phantom rush to him. With the Abyssal Phantom hovering over him, Xu Feng grabbed one of its arms, having the former lift him up airborne.
Right at that moment, the stomp occurred, causing the ground to tremble rapidly and loud noises reverberated throughout the lair. It was just a shame that Xu Feng had avoided the damage by being airborne.
Shortly after, Xu Feng released his grip and landed on the open flesh wound that the spikes had penetrated on its tough skin.
With a cold grin, Xu Feng commented, "I'm not a constructor, but I believe in my hammering skill."
Unaware of what Xu Feng had said, the Behemoth remained ignorant before receiving a sensation that nearly caused it to feel death looming in.

Instead of swinging his staff around like earlier, Xu Feng treated his staff as a hammer, banging on the debris spikes, piercing it deeper into its flesh.
The other adult Behemoth upon noticing Xu Feng's action, attempted to stop him, only to be hindered by the Abyssal Phantom.
With the Abyssal Phantom preventing it from advancing, the only option left was to use Metal Burst, but doing so would injure its companion too. Not to mention, the painful cries that Xu Feng was currently causing, its partner won't be able to handle the damage.
"Ahh, how sentimental." Xu Feng smiled lightly at them. The Divine World was truly one sick world that made monsters have similar sentiments as humans, hoping to dampen a player's emotion from hunting them.
A weak-willed individual might fall for it and feel compassionate, stopping their actions of killing. However, these types of individuals would soon realize their stupidity and naivety for stopping.
The moment they gave a monster an opportunity, no matter how slim that was, they would take that chance to kill you.
Hence, Xu Feng would be foolish to be affected by the monster's emotions and reactions.
He was not cold-blooded, but he also wasn't going to allow himself to be killed.
Just earlier, he had to fake death to get the Skyrazor Harbinger wings crippled.
With a ruthless expression, Xu Feng continued to hammer the debris spikes, ruining the Behemoth's regeneration ability while casting Sacred Fire to burn its internal flesh.
The intense heat from the Sacred Fire caused the Behemoths' internal tissues to sear and rupture. Their once mighty roars of anger turned into pitiful wails of agony. The smell of burning flesh filled the air, mingling with the acrid scent of scorched earth and stone.
Meanwhile, Xu Feng's eyes remained cold and unyielding. He showed no signs of stopping.
Soon, the wailing started to turn weaker as their resistance decreased at a rapid rate. The once formidable Behemoth was now reduced to helpless masses of flesh and bone, their life force ebbing away with each passing second.
Shortly after, Xu Feng's clothes were drenched in blood from the spraying Behemoth, and to his astonishment, he killed the adult Behemoth already.
His damage might not be high, but the usage of the environment was to his advantage. Added to the fact that there was the spike latched on its flesh, helped him tremendously.
'Damn, I've miscalculated.' Xu Feng thought, realizing that he had messed up.
After all, with the death of this adult Behemoth, the other adult Behemoth would no longer have anything holding it back from going all-out against him.
Sure enough, as he turned around, he noticed a raged Behemoth glaring at him menacingly. The Abyssal Phantom that had been hindering it was also killed by it with a single strike.
"Carmen? Jeff? Have the two of you finished killing with the younglings?" Xu Feng called out, clearly feeling the tremendous pressure directed at him.
