The truth was the waitress found it rather awkward to send the leftovers upstairs, and she wouldn’t have done it if the girl downstairs hadn’t insisted that they knew each other very well.
When Jing Yunzhao didn’t get upset and told her to pass the girl a plate of leftovers instead, the waitress was amused.

She is so going to have egg on her face when she sees the dish that we sent! By the way, I checked before I came: The standard of the tables that Ye Qing reserved was one thousand and six hundred bucks each, meaning that that one dish that we sent is equivalent to all the dishes on her table!” Xiao Haiqing laughed happily, as if already picturing how furious Ye Qing was going to be.
“I wanted to stay out of it but she wouldn’t let me. It was never my intention to mess with her,” Jing Yunzhao said, smiling wickedly.
There could only be two reasons why Ye Qing picked on her.
Firstly, Jing Yunzhao’s results were always the best in the whole school. Since she was in the same class as Ye Qing, her results were quite obviously better than Ye Qing’s who was the commissary in charge of studies.
The second reason might be Jiang Xia.
Ye Qing having a crush on Jiang Xia was hardly a secret, but Jiang Xia had a crush on Qiao Hongye, and had been extra attentive to Jing Yunzhao simply because he considered them sisters. You don’t back down no matter how much they bully you now, and you got away from an assault that could have been a murder,” Xiao Haiqing put up her thumb as she said admiringly.
“Aren’t you the same? You frightened Jiang Xia just by talking to him,” said Jing Yunzhao with a mischievous grin.
And she had actually become a successful career woman in her previous life. Although she was quite scandalous when it came to relationships, it didn’t stop her from being so capable that nobody dared to go against her.
“Are we really going to compliment each other all night? I can feel myself blushing!” Xiao Haiqing laughed.
“Really? It must be the wine,” said Jing Yunzhao smilingly and clinked her glass against Xiao Haiqing’s before downing her wine.
While the atmosphere in the private room was cheerful, Ye Qing in the main hall was on the edge of losing her mind.
She was so embarrassed that she could feel herself blushing and her heart pounding.
How shameless was Jing Yunzhao to send her a dish from some random table just to humiliate her?
“What is wrong with this restaurant? Do you just send anything that anyone tells you to send? Someone else actually ate this dish before us, can you imagine how much saliva and germs there might be in here? What if the person who ate this dish has a disease?” Ye Qing demanded harshly, not caring about her image anymore.
“Stop creating a scene, Ye Qing. Our classmates are all here, it’s embarrassing,” Jiang Xia who was sitting next to Ye Qing frowned and said.
“Embarrassing? What is more embarrassing than being humiliated by a plate of leftovers? I sent her ‘Wealth and Prosperity’ out of kindness, but what did she give me in return? What didn’t she order a new dish for us if she really can afford such fancy dishes? Does she think that I am some beggar to be accepting her leftovers?” Ye Qing snarled, getting even more upset at Jiang Xia’s words.
