This was a world where magic and swords existed, yet Michael had yet to see a magical artifact in existence. If there was, then it was incredibly rare and scarce.
But with this discovery, Michael could make his own magical artifacts by molding these Mithril ores into the shape of a weapon or a tool!
Mages could now have wands that specifically increased their power output by at least half! Swordsmen could increase their slicing power by having a sword made out of Mithril. And even non-combative talents could increase their production by using mithril tools like rakes and hammers.
The possibilities were endless.
And with the abundance of Damascus Steel they had now because of their cooperation with the Dwarven Kingdom, the Nation of Reborn could have all the magical artifacts they would need.
With this in mind, Michael immediately wanted to start teaching the dwarves and other blacksmiths in their nation how to create their own mithril.
But, that was a job for another day. For now, Michael wanted to finish his experiments with the Mithril to make sure that the dwarves wouldn’t accidentally blow themselves up because they used the wrong combination of elements in the Damascus Steel.
He continued to make combinations of different elements into the Damascus Steel, and they all acted the same way Michael expected.
For example, using seven out of the eight elements to make Mithril showed no explosive reactions. This Mithril, just like the others, was only effective if the spell also needed to use the seven elements to be cast.
The only thing left to try out was the combination of all eight elements.
Although it resulted in a very dangerous explosion the last time, Michael felt as if he could have prevented that entirely if he just found the right circumstances.
Theoretically, this should work. After all, the elements in his body weren’t causing him to explode. So, there was a way to make them all coexist without them reacting violently. He just needed to experiment more.
ChatJK3, do you think that if I make the material smaller, it won’t explode?
[From your experiments, the quantity of elements inside the Mithril correlated with the intensity of the explosion. This could mean that if you put a small amount of elements in a small enough container, it could make them docile enough to coexist with each other.] ChatJK3 replied.
Michael picked out a fingernail-sized Damascus Steel from his storage and tried it out.
After putting in the seven elements inside, everything looked normal.
Slowly, he injected the last Light element into the Damascus Steel. The material slowly glowed and turned the grayish-black coating of its surface into a translucent crystal.
It continued to glow white with power, almost as if it was about to burst out in pure energy.
But as the seconds passed, the light soon faded away and became tame inside the Mithril’s core, slightly making it glow with a white luminescence.
“It worked!” Michael rejoiced.
Even though the Mithril looked unstable, it was still the first time he had ever contained all the elements inside it without exploding.
[The Mithril contains a lot of power and energy. However, it could be set off with just a slight displacement.] ChatJK3 warned.
Michael decided to name this as the Unity Mithril because of its use of all elements.
Although he succeeded in creating it, Michael still wasn’t satisfied with this result. The Unity Mithril was far too volatile to be used in normal circumstances.
Michael continued experimenting with smaller and smaller Mithrils, and eventually, he found a size in which the Mithril became constantly stable.
He held in his hand a very small Mithril ore, which was the same size as a normal wedding ring diamond gemstone. He made this comparison because the two looked very similar, except for the everlasting white glow on the Mithril.
Michael tested this miniature Unity Mithril and found it to be quite sturdy. He threw it around the room, bouncing it on metal and concrete alike, and it barely had any scratch on it.
He put it through all sorts of destructive scenarios like an intense fire or a freezing cold, and it survived those as well.
Of course, it wasn’t indestructible. And when it did get destroyed, it didn’t explode like the other Unity Mithril experiments.
This Mithril was both safe and filled with pure energy.
In another experiment, Michael connected the two wires of a light bulb to the Unity Mithril.
And surprisingly, the light bulb turned on!
He didn’t expect to find out that Unity Mithril could be used as a battery, but here he was.
From his estimation, it seemed as if the light bulb could be powered forever using this small Mithril.
He tried it out with the other electrical appliances in his house like the air conditioner and the refrigerator.
Although it turned on, it was only barely able to do so.
This small Unity Mithril held far too little elemental mana to power those power-hungry electrical appliances. If he wanted to power them using only the Unity Mithril, then he needed a much bigger material. But of course, doing that posed the problem of safety since it was a lot more volatile than the small Mithril.
However, this was still a very good breakthrough. This Unity Mithril acted like an eternal battery, needing no recharge or replacement. The only downside of it was that it could only power small appliances.

Michael chuckled to himself. “You just want another upgrade, don’t ya?”

He was already planning on doing that either way. After all, the improvement he got with each software upgrade had been incredible so far. He didn’t want to stop. He craved for more.
