"At least the bath is hot. I worked up quite the sweat moving that man into the other room." Kana looked at the blood streaks across the ground and smiled. "After I clean up, I will use the clothes that man bought me and go get some food. I also need to get a knife…
After her bath, she got dressed in the clothes the man bought her. The pants were slightly too big, so she used the man's belt to hold them up. After that, she climbed out the window to the fire escape. As she climbed down, she passed by an open window where two people were going at it. Right on the windowsill was a wallet just sitting there. Kana reached up and snatched it up as she continued down the fire escape. Once she reached the ground, she took off, running towards a clothing store not far away after getting some warmer clothes, shoes, and socks. Kana went and got some food. After she got some food, she went to another store and stole a small dagger since they wouldn't sell her one with how young she looked.
"With my belly full, a weapon in hand, now I need to find those people..." Kana was not sure why this place existed, but she knew that it was not a friendly place. It was not that they took kids in and sold them, no, they took kids in and trained them, but the training was brutal. They even pitted kids against each other to fight to the death, and only those who survive are able to be hired by the organization behind it.
If it was before, Kana would never have come to this place. But now, things were different. As far as she knew, she only had one skill, and that was to kill people. She was still not sure if everything she went through was a dream or not. This could all be part of the trial she was supposed to be undertaking at the moment. If that was the case, she would not submit to the reality around her, and she would take her life into her own hands. Since she only knew how to kill, she would do just that.
As Kana arrived at a back alley that was tucked away deep within the city, she spotted a long line of kids standing there waiting for something. Up ahead, she saw a few people in black clothes taking down kid's names as they walked up before sending them through to large doors.
Unlike the rest of the kids, who were covered in dirty rags, Kana was in clean clothes and freshly washed. She looked really out of place and caught the eyes of the men in black quickly. They walked over to her and asked: "Little miss, are you in the wrong place?"
"If this place is the place that trains people to kill, then no, I am in the right place. Or do I need to prove that I am willing to kill? Like, say taking this boy's life here?" Kana asked as she pulled her dagger out and stabbed the boy in front of her in the neck. Blood sprayed and dirted her new clothes, but Kana didn't even flinch. Screams could be heard from the other kids in line. Kana saw no issue with what she did. Whether this was the real world or a world created by Old Sir to test her, it didn't matter.
"Hehe, this little girl has spunk. Let her through. Let's see how long she lasts. " The man in black yelled over to one of his comrades, who nodded and opened the door. "What's your name, little girl?"
"Kana." Kan replied. Kana paid no mind to the young boy she just killed as she stepped on top of him, making her way to the door.
When she entered through the door, she was met with a warehouse that had bunks lined up in rows on each side. "Any and all personal belongings besides clothes need to be left here." A man who was sitting behind a long table next to the door announced. Kana turned to him and took out her dagger that was still dripping in blood, and tossed it into the basket. She did not take out the money she had. She knew if she did, she would probably never see it again. But things never always go as planned.
"Your money clip as well. Count out all your money and write it down here. We will both have a copy. If you survive to the end, all your possessions will be returned. If you die, they belong to us." The man said. It was as if he had x-ray vision.
Kana frowned and took out the money clip that had almost three thousand in cash and counted it out. The man was quite surprised by this, but when he looked at the bloody dagger, he figured this was actually quite normal. "Okay, take these clothes and go into the room at the side and change. Fair warning, the room is being monitored but only by females for the female changing room." The man motioned with his head towards the girl sitting next to the room with a small monitor in front of her.
This surprised kana very much that they were taking such things into consideration. Although the way they did things was ruthless, they still had some morals. Kana nodded and took the clothes with her to the small booth for changing. She paused and turned to the girl sitting by the monitor and asked: "Do I need to change out of everything?"
The girl, who looked no more than nineteen years of age, had blonde hair and blue eyes, looked up at Kana and smiled: "No, you can keep your underwear on. You will need to leave your shoes and socks, though. From here on out, you will be barefooted. "
"Thanks." Kana gave her thanks and walked into the changing booth.

Back in the black tower, Creige sat with Kana in his lap, holding her, rocking her back and forth gently. He did not know what else to do but this. He could only hope Kana would make it back and pass her trial.
"Lad, don't worry. She will be fine. Nothing will cause harm to her in this trial. I am keeping a close eye on all her actions so I know what is going on. She only needs to change the life she once had and die of old age in her memories. To change one fate of their past is to defeat one's inner fears that weigh on one's heart."
