"I will leave you two be. I am going to go rest for a while." Doctor Gale could see that the two needed some time to talk alone. So she decided to make herself scarce.
"Doctor Gale, thank you for taking care of Kiliffia for me." Kana was very grateful that the academy had such a good doctor. She was able to heal Kiliffia's injuries to such an extent it was truly a magical thing.
"I was just doing my job." Doctor Gale said with a smile. She then let out a small yawn as she waved her hand at the two girls. "You two talk amongst yourselves. I will be going to take a small nap."
After Doctor Gale left, Kana sat on the edge of the bed and let out a sigh. "Kiliffia, they didn't do anything else to you, did they?"
Kiliffia blushed because she knew what Kana meant. She shook her head and said: "No… Luckily, they only beat me and nothing else."
"That's a relief. You do not need to worry about them anymore. Both families are now wanted by the kingdom and will be wiped out. The ones who hurt you I have already turned to ash, so you can enjoy your academy life now without worries. Just rest up and get better. I will make sure to take all the notes you need for your classes. Unfortunately, I can not do anything for your swordsman specialty class. But I am sure with your talent, you will be able to catch up quickly." Kana said as she stealthy fluffed the fuzzy wuzzy tail.
"Goddess Kana… Thank you for saving me. I promise I will grow stronger so I can stand by your side." Kiliffia spoke with her eyes full of determination. She would never let another incident like this happen again. She did not want to feel helpless ever again. Her goddess has not only saved her once or twice but three times now. She was done being the helpless maiden. She wanted to be the one who her goddess can call on in time of need.
Kana smiled. She wanted to tell Kiliffia to just be herself and take things at her own pace, but she couldn't bring herself to say that when she saw how determined the girl was. Instead, she could only say: "Just do not overwork yourself. Remember, no matter how strong you wish to be. It will be counterproductive if you overdo it." These were words that she read in a book once. Kana felt this saying was perfect for the current situation.
"Mmm… I will make sure to take care of myself. I will not do anything that will worry you." Kiliffia nodded her head, taking Kana's words to heart.
"Oh! Well said!" A sudden familiar voice came from out of nowhere.
Kana's brows furrowed as she turned around to see two familiar people standing there. Letting out a sigh, Kana asked: "What are you doing here, perverted goddess?" She then looked at Sei and gave her a slight nod.
"Perverted!? Listen here! How am I perverted!?" Yuthia immediately went on the defensive.
"I never said which goddess, but since you are so readily claiming this title, I guess it means you." Kana said with a chuckle.
"Yuthia, she has you there, and her words are not wrong. You are very perverted." Sei nodded her head, agreeing with Kana.
"Sei not you too!?" Yuthia felt betrayed. She huffed and decided to change the subject. "Anyway, Kana, my little cutie, how did you like my present last night?"
Kana was confused, but then a thought came to mind. "You sent him to me?"
"That's right, I felt after everything you needed someone by your side. I did good, right!? Praise me!" Yuthia shamelessly stuck her nose in the air and put her hands on her hips as if she was the best. Sai could only stand to the side and shake her head while covering her eyes, pretending she did not know the girl next to her.
"Well… I will say thank you, but next time you decide to teleport my husband to me, can you at least make sure he is dressed? Also..." Kana got up and took one step at a time towards Yuthia.
Yuthia felt something was wrong when she saw the strange look in Kana's eyes. She couldn't but help take a few steps back as she stuttered her words: "Wha-What ar-are yo-you doing?"
Kana didn't answer as she leaned in close and whispered: "If I ever find out that you are spying on my husband while he is naked, I will find a way to enter the realm of gods just so I can poke your eyeballs out of your head."
"I would never do that!" Yuthia's eyes began darting back and forth as she yelled out. Beads of sweat began to form on her forehead. Under Kana's intense stare, she had completely forgotten that she was a goddess who could squish Kana between her fingers if she so wished.
To the side, Sei began to laugh as she placed her hand on Yuthia's shoulder: "Kana, don't worry, I will make sure she never does such a thing, because if she did…."
Yuthia was now sweating buckets because Sei was now gripping her shoulder so tightly she felt like it was about to be crushed. Right now, she felt as if two high gods were standing before her. The immense pressure both Kana and Sei were giving off was too extreme for her. She quickly crumbled and lowered her head submissively. "I promise I will never peak on your husband..."
Kana smiled and nodded her head: "Good! Now may I ask why you are here?" Kana asked as she stepped back and sat back down on the bed.
"Oh, right!." Yuthia yelled out as she remembered her true purpose for coming to the mortal world. This time she was actually here on a mission. "I was asked by the Fox High God Methiesee to give your little friend a message."
Yuthia turned and looked at Kiliffia. "If you wish to be strong, he will give you five years to reach your third evolution. If you are able to do this, he will give you a blessing."
