“Your body is different, and you are the best sacrificial lamb for the resurrection of the pope. Dave smiled, and everything he said was the truth.
The woman was stunned and shouted at him angrily, “How dare you try to manipulate my mind? I will kill you!”
She brandished her sword and tried to strike his chest.

Blood fell to the ground, and the woman was stunned to see that the man didn’t retaliate and just let her attack him.
Dave’s handsome face smiled, even as blood came out of his mouth.
The woman was stunned, uncertain if she could defeat the demon before her but he just let her attack him.
“Why did you not dodge?” she asked, her expression complicated.
Her sword could kill the demon if she struck his heart.
Dave smiled and replied, “Well, I am tired of fighting, and even if I die, it’s okay because I have already protected you from the darkness, and you have already grown to this point. I will die with no regrets.”
Suddenly, Dave’s face changed, and his disguise was removed due to his energy loss.
His appearance reverted back to its original form – red hair and golden eyes that could charm anyone with weak willpower.
“What? Are you that mister?” the woman was shocked.
When her parents died, she was only 10 years old, and the church wanted to adopt her and take her to their sanctuary.
While training with the paladins, she was bullied by many people.
During that difficult time, a handsome man with long red hair appeared before her and taught her a powerful sword technique.
Since then, she became stronger, and her talent stood out, eventually becoming the saintess.
Whenever she encountered danger during her forest training, the attackers would mysteriously die, and she felt that the same mysterious man was always protecting her.
She didn’t know his true intentions but admired his strength and her lifelong goal to surpass. Now, this discovery left her confused and unsure how to react.
The woman decided not to kill him as she felt grateful to him.

She placed him in a cave, promising to return after clarifying things.
Dave smiled and remained silent as she left.
After she was gone, Dave held his chest and smirked, “Hehe, it was painful, but my powers are restricted here. If she hadn’t given me the holy core to replace my heart, I would already be dead.”
Dave knew that what he had done was dangerous, but he believed in his plans, confident that she would come back because of guilt.

The woman returned to the church and discovered many things. She investigated the church and realized that what Dave had said was the truth. She had been fooled and used by the one who killed her family. Filled with rage, she killed everyone in the church, sparing only the innocent. The church was razed to the ground, and she looked in Dave’s direction, full of guilt.
Returning to Dave’s location, she decided to live a normal life with him, to repay everything he had done for her and to accompany him as he was now a mortal. Dave felt helpless without power or magic.
Both lived in a simple village, where everyone treated them as normal individuals and assumed they were a married couple. The woman didn’t deny it, as she wanted an identity and was content to live a normal life with Dave. They farmed, gathered woods, and embraced the simplicity of their new existence.
The woman gradually forgot that she was once a powerful individual and started to blend in as an ordinary person. She realized that Dave was a good person and a gentleman. Although they didn’t share the same room, they helped each other with everyday tasks, ate together, and over the years, they grew closer, eventually becoming a real couple.
Dave was handsome, and she was beautiful, making them a perfect pair.
They had lived together for 50 years, yet they hadn’t been able to have a child due to the difference in their powers. This saddened her deeply, as she was powerful enough to conceive, but Dave always reassured her that she was the only thing he needed and that she shouldn’t blame herself.

“If I die, don’t be sad and live a happy life,” he said. Tears started to fall from the woman’s eyes as she held Dave’s hands and replied, “I hate myself for doing this to you. If not for me, you would not have become mortal.”
She blamed herself, but Dave only smiled and looked at the sky. “I never blamed you, so you don’t need to be harsh on yourself. Maybe in the next life, we will be together again.”
As Dave said that, his life force began to dissipate, and unknowingly, he forgot about everything, including the system, before he closed his eyes.
The woman was filled with sadness as she realized that he was no longer moving or breathing. “Dave! Dave!” she called out desperately, holding his hands and crying.
She held his lifeless body for many hours and finally decided, “Don’t worry, I will accompany you even in the next life.”
Taking out her sword, which she hadn’t used for many decades, she plunged it into her heart, using her force to end her life.
The woman smiled through her tears, and her vision became blurry.
A pair of lovers died under the beautiful tree, and in an instant, the tree blossomed as a testament to their passing.
