Dave at first didn’t care about the ancient clans but he realized that since they are separated from the spirit world for so long, they must have already forgotten how strong the Dragon Empire is.

He knows that other clans already make their move and chaos will start in the world so he plans to dominate every clan so that he can secure the safety of the Dragon empire before he leaves the mortal plane.
After making up his mind he looks at a certain place and smiles.

He is a smart person and since he didn’t see someone other than Dave, it means he already defeated it.
Dave was stunned as his Uncle Dunce bowed to him because as an emperor of an empire, he needed to keep his dignity in front of his people.

Dave said it plainly as if he only just walks in a park.
But that’s the truth because he was bored fighting Desmund.
