By the third week, Shen Yuan had a preliminary understanding of the Yin intent. He focused on mastering more water-based martial arts which he brought out from the pagoda while deepening his mastery over the element.

Shen Yuan sat cross-legged in the water. Comprehending Yin profundities as he inched infinitely closer to the first level. It had been over a month since he began practicing it but with Bing Rong’s help, he made great progress.

Bing Rong, who was standing above the water’s surface, felt the familiar aura of Yin intent on his body and her face lit up with a happy smile.
“Good good, he really comprehended the Yin intent in a little over a month. I really can’t imagine how high his talent is.” She slowly descended with a smile on her face.
Shen Yuan flexed his Yin intent, feeling what he could do with it inside the water. The water turned into ice or mist at his one command. ‘Hmm… at the first level, I can’t do much with it. I might be able to slow down opponents with it in a real fight though.”
He raised his head to see Bing Rong approaching, shaking his head a little, he rose from the water.
“Congratulations Yuan’er, you really managed to learn the Yin intent so soon.” She said with a happy smile.
Shen Yuan smiled and nodded, “I wouldn’t have been able to do this without you.”
Bing Rong smiled and stepped forward, “Then, don’t you think I deserve a reward?”
Shen Yuan chuckled and brought her closer in a hug, “Of course, my dear wife deserves a good long reward.”

A shimmering white portal appeared inside one of the rooms of the flying ship. Shen Yuan and Bing Rong stepped out of it with neat clothes and happy faces.
Shen Yuan paused as soon as he stepped out, looking at the sulking face of Wan Ling. ‘Fuck.’
Wan Ling slowly raised her head and looked at Shen Yuan emerging from the portal.
Their eyes met for a second as the air seemed to become still. “Hmph!” She turned her head to the side, not looking at him.
Bing Rong giggled looking at the two of them and left the room silently to look for the Grand Elder to discuss some things.
Shen Yuan looked at Wan Ling and helplessly smiled, “Cough, Ling’er…” he said before he walked towards the bed where she sat.
“…what?” She asked, without turning her head to him.
Shen Yuan got closer and sat beside her, “Are you mad?”
“Why would I be mad?” She asked with fake confusion without turning her head, “You only left me behind for two entire days all alone in this room when we got here together after all. It’s nothing much.”
Shen Yuan’s eyes twitched as he heard her words, “Looks like I will need to use my newly learned technique.” He said in all seriousness looking at her.
She turned her head a little and looked at Shen Yuan from the corner of her eye in confusion, “Wha-“
But before her words could finish, Shen Yuan grabbed her waist and teleported to the Dual Cultivation Chamber, ‘Hehe fun days are ahead.’

Shen Yuan, Bing Rong, and Wan Ling stood at the hull of the ship, gazing over the magnificent terrain that lay below them. Towering mountains that stretched above the clouds stood in front of them.
With waterfalls that seemed to fall directly from the clouds, filling the air with mist. And at the center of the mountain range lay a huge mountain towering above all others.
It had a flat top as if someone used a sword to cut the mountaintop in half. “Is that the place where the Aurora Plains competition will be held?” Wan Ling asked looking at the largest mountain at the center.
“This place is comparable to our Sect’s grounds. Why has no sect claimed it and made it into a blessed land?” Shen Yuan asked something else as it was obvious this was the competition ground.
Bing Rong solemnly looked at the mountain peak and said, “Because of its history.”
Shen Yuan raised an eye in surprise, looking ahead again, he realized that the mountains were created with a specific pattern, with layers of them. “Wait, there was a sect here before?” he realized as the arrangement seemed similar to his own sect.
Bing Rong nodded, “Yes, a long long time ago, there used to be a sect here. Its name was the World Raiser Sect. It was one of the strongest sects in all of Desolate Continent with multiple Transcending Tribulation Realm cultivators protecting it.”
Shen Yuan’s eyes flashed with shock, the current top-tier sects were only protected by mere Law Forging Realm ancestors while the sect masters were only in the Soul Nurturing Realm.
Bing Rong continued, “How grand was the sect to have multiple Transcending Tribulation Realm cultivators? It had dominated the entire Eastern Desolate Region and was one of the hegemons to fight for supremacy in this continent.”
