“Guh—!” Her tail swung left and right, forming multiple afterimages before they struck the lightning. Slowly, she chipped away the power of the tribulation lightning before it completely dispersed.
She exhaled a long breath as the fire entered her meridians and went towards her core, which lit it on fire. Looking intently inside her dantian, she discovered the fire accelerating the process of merging and removing any impurities.
Her eyes shone with exhilaration before she quickly circulated her Qi to recover herself.
On the ground, Shen Yuan and Bing Rong exhaled a sigh of relief as she successfully managed to withstand the tribulation.
But the relief was short-lived as the thunderclouds churned once again, swirling with an increasing amount of Fire Tribulation might before descending like a river of fire straight toward Ling Yue.
She hurriedly stopped her Qi circulation and infused whatever Qi she could quickly mobilize into her sword, using multiple strengthening techniques before clashing with the surging river of fire.

“Haa… haa… haa…” Ling Yue took deep breaths inside one of the craters that had formed due to her falling multiple times on the ground.
The surrounding area for miles around her had been destroyed due to her tribulation. Shen Yuan and Bing Rong stood in the air outside the range of tribulation.
Shen Yuan worriedly looked at the bloodied body of Ling Yue as she had somehow managed to withstand eight tribulation lightning strikes until now. But the lightning changed once again after getting to the seventh strike, as it brought out another element—Wind.
This increased the difficulty of the trial greatly. She had to use nearly all of her cards to withstand the seventh and eighth strikes.
The final tribulation lightning brewed high in the multi-colored sky. The tribulation utilized all three elements as a long snake head emerged from within the tribulation clouds.
Ling Yue gritted her teeth as her body began transforming. Her tail grew longer, and sharp canine teeth emerged on her lips. Her nails got longer as her beastly aura grew much stronger.
She then glanced inside her body as the core was nearing its completion, while the fire, wind, and thunder had purified the cores to their limits.
Raising her head, she slowly floated towards the sky. ‘I just need to withstand the lightning until my core finishes merging, and I can safely pass this tribulation. I need to steady my heart.’
Her thoughts churned as she remembered the worried gaze of Shen Yuan. She utilized her bloodline’s ultimate move, ‘Garden of Shadow,’ and a dome formed all around her and enveloped everything in darkness.
In the dim light, her eyes flashed with a predatory gaze as she looked at the elemental snake in the air. The snake seemed to take it as a provocation. It opened its mouth and hissed before falling down like a meteor upon the Shadow Dome.
Runes flashed upon her body as Ling Yue utilized every last bit of her Qi to accelerate the process of merging, but seeing it not finishing before the lightning descended, she put up a defensive stance.
HISSS!
The snake hissed and hit the dome directly, shattering it into a million pieces upon first contact before proceeding to rain down on Ling Yue, who used her sword and body to block the attack.
“Augh—” She grunted as her body took the brunt of the attack while the three-colored tribulation Qi went inside her body.
Shen Yuan’s eyes widened as he took a step forward, but Bing Rong firmly placed a hand on his shoulder and lightly shook her head.
He gritted his teeth and forced himself to calm down and continued looking ahead.
Ling Yue, on the other hand, got pushed to the ground by the snake as it pressed her down. But all of a sudden, a brilliance flashed in her eyes. The core, which she had been waiting to get fused, was finally done.
She roared with a deafening sound before using her new cultivation base to once again power the Garden of Shadow ability. Her eyes flashed with a black light, her sword slowly rose bit by bit, and the tribulation power began to wane slightly as its connection with the tribulation sky weakened over time. Shen Yuan’s palms sweated as he couldn’t see anything that was going on inside the Black Dome. He resisted the urge to sprint inside the Domain to see for himself.
Bing Rong’s eyes flashed with worry as well. She looked deeply inside the Domain, but due to the interference of Heavenly Aura, even her sharp senses couldn’t sense anything inside.
Ling Yue, inside her Garden of Shadow, growled like an injured wild beast before slashing apart the last bolt of tribulation lightning.
The remaining lightning coursed through her body and purified her meridians and dantian. Her strength sharply rose as she reached the First Level of the Mortal Tribulation Realm.
But due to overexertion, she slowly fell to the ground. Outside the Shadow Dome, Shen Yuan looked at the dispersing clouds and hurriedly sprinted toward the center of the tribulation.
The Garden of Shadow slowly dispersed, revealing the kneeling figure of Ling Yue, her body nearly bare as the tribulation burned down all her clothes.
Shen Yuan flew down the crater and came closer to her. “Ling Yue! Are you alright?” He bent down beside her and took out a cloak, wrapping it gently around her body.
Ling Yue felt warmth spread through her chest before she weakly nodded her head. “Y..yes y..oung m..aster,” her voice turned faint, she closed her eyes and fell unconscious.
Shen Yuan’s heart skipped a beat as he quickly used his senses to check up on her body condition. He heaved a sigh as he felt that her condition was normal and her body was rapidly strengthening and adapting to the strength of the Mortal Tribulation Realm.
Bing Rong quietly floated beside him, looking at the unconscious Ling Yue. “At least she managed to live. Her tribulation was so strong due to her old age, as she has exhausted most of her potential. But you forcefully raised her potential to be comparable to a Core disciple of a divine sect.”
Shen Yuan slowly nodded his head. “Yes, but with this, she will be able to walk much further down the path of the Great Dao.” He slowly stood up and carried Ling Yue like a princess.
Bing Rong looked at the setting sun. “It’s been quite a while. The Grand Elder and her little group should be returning anytime soon.”
He nodded and floated towards the flying ship. “Let’s head back to the ship and wait for them.”
Bing Rong nodded and went back together with him.

Shen Yuan and Bing Rong sat inside a room on the flying ship. Bing Rong had felt some auras approaching their location, so she took Shen Yuan some distance away from the tribulation area.
Ling Yue peacefully lay on the bed inside the room after Shen Yuan had changed her clothes.
“Your follower is really strong. To invoke a five-kilometer-long elemental tribulation, that’s something only the peak geniuses can do.” Bing Rong said, looking at Ling Yue.
As he had calmed down, Shen Yuan curiously asked, “How many types of tribulations are there?”
