Kent smiled and smirked. “You are my master, and as your disciple, it’s only natural for me to spend money on you.”
Kent didn’t mind spending money on her. He saw it as an investment for future gains. However, since he knew his master wouldn’t get angry, he failed to recognize the seriousness of Saintess Selene’s question.
But his cheeky answer made Saintess Selene shudder in anger, and she subconsciously unleashed her Peak Root Sage aura.

This sight broke Saintess Selene’s heart. She had wanted to know why Kent was spoiling her rotten, but in the process, she instead nearly killed her disciple.
But she wasn’t the only one having a thought. Kent was also having a moment of clarity and awakening.
Just now, he felt how weak he was, and for a moment, he got a reality check. He wasn’t invincible.
