“You do know they will come after you after the auction,” she said, looking at the smiling brat who had just angered an entire auction of rich and powerful people.
“You could have let them have the ore. Why go to this length?” she asked, and Kent smiled.
“I need it more than they do,” Kent answered, still maintaining his composure.
“What at all do you need a meteorite for? Considering the last time I checked, you are not a blacksmith,” she asked again, not understanding how Kent could be this reckless.
“It’s true, I am not a blacksmith, but if your opponent is an evil practitioner, you need all the tools to win. Now, I have secured something that will push me closer to my goal.
As for them, they can come. I happen to be in need of dead bodies. Coming after me will be like a blessing in disguise,” Kent said, and the expression on the Gate Master’s face changed.
Hearing the mention of an evil practitioner meant Kent had only angered these people because of that. If it had been the other way around, he wouldn’t have angered people he simply couldn’t afford to anger.
But hearing he did all this because he was planning for his rescue mission calmed her down. She would have done some if she were in his shoes.
Kent noticed the change in her expression and smiled.
“Don’t worry, Gate Master. They won’t be able to get to me before I do anything to them,” Kent spoke with confidence.
Obviously, right after the auction, he would run into the tower and only come out tomorrow. He couldn’t face all these bastards on his own, so the best way was to use his tower to his advantage.
But those who would come after him would be met with a nasty surprise.
Someone with resources such as his shouldn’t take things lying down. Since he had the money and bought the item, he should be allowed to use it without fearing for his life.
For now, Kent was just waiting for them to come.
The next item was brought out and auctioned for 10 million spirit stones. It was a herb that could strengthen a man’s libido when used as the main ingredient to concoct the Sex Enhancement Pill.
This brought back old memories.

Saintess Val bought a heaven-grade flying sword that had been retrieved from a smithy in the forbidden grounds.
The sword was far better than the ones she had been using, so she bought it after a 30-minute battle with another Sword Saint from one of the prestigious sects, the Golden Light Sect.
It was an intense battle, but the Sword Saint lost simply because the Saintess she was battling against wasn’t spending her own money.
She was using Kent’s moment, so she kept going until the Saint backed out.
She bought it for 67 million, and Kent handed her the money to go collect it after the auction.
Perhaps the ladies inside all wanted this moment, so after the rude Saintess, who wasn’t really paying attention to anyone, dug into Kent’s money, the rest started to get lively.
Gate Master Camilla bought a brazier she wouldn’t be using, but she planned to save it for her disciple after she was rescued.
Unity also bought an arrow for 45 million after battling over it with an archer from the Eagle Eye Bow Sect.
But just like with Saintess Val, the disciple lost because she was competing against someone who had an infinite amount of money, thanks to her man being rich.
Later on, the item for the last day of the auction was brought out.
It was an armour that had been taken from the Ancient Battlefield of Parting. It was damaged on one side, but its durability remained intact, and it was even a Heaven-grade item.
Kent scanned it, but after reading the details, he realized it wasn’t something he was interested in.
This time, too, there was a fierce battle between the three Metal Saints.
During the battle, everyone was checking to see if Kent would join in, but after 45 minutes of intense bidding, Metal Saint Andrew won the bid after bidding a whopping 230 million spirit stones.
Though it was too much for a damaged armour, if he were to repair it—and he planned on doing so—its grade would rise to Legendary, making it even more impressive.
After the last item, Alina addressed everyone.
“That will be the last of the items for today. All those who won a bid should come to the back office to pay and collect them. We accept no refunds, so you get what you pay for.
Tomorrow, we will be auctioning 50 items, of which 44 are Heaven-grade, 4 are Legendary-grade, 1 heaven-defying pill, and, well, the last one… we can only wait to see what it is.

After she said that, everyone began to disperse, with those who won bids moving to pay and collect their items.
