The portal closed when Uncle Drew, now known as Kael Duskbane, the Captain of the Night Riders, passed through it with his Shadowmare steed.
Kent sighed.
He didn’t know how it all happened, but somehow, he knew exactly what to do and how to do it, which resulted in Uncle Drew becoming a Night Rider.
“I will see you soon, Uncle Drew,” Kent said before turning to his women, Cynthia and Saintess Selene.
‘Are you ladies alright?’ Kent used the telepathic connection between them to ask his women.
‘Yes, but your master is not well. Attend to her first; we are not hurt or anything,’ Unity replied, making Kent thank his lucky stars.
While he wouldn’t have blamed his actions for choosing to spend time with his first wife, he certainly would have blamed himself for not being there if something had happened to them.
In fact, Lilian and Unity only decide to inform Vexthra when Kent’s master arrives hurt and Uncle Drew is dying. They would have waited for him to come back naturally if they had been alright.
“I will be taking my master away. Lilian, kindly look after your mother. Unity, come for Li Hua,” Kent said, taking Saintess Selene into a princess carry.
Unity stepped beside him.
“Hold my waist,” Kent said, and Unity followed. The next second, they vanished and appeared in Saintess Selene’s bedroom.
Li Hua, who was inside the room, immediately ran toward Saintess Selene, but Kent stopped her by telling her to go with Unity while her mother rested.
Li Hua obeyed and left with Unity. Kent doesn’t want her to get traumatized by seeing Saintess Selene, who she has chosen as her mother, hurt.
She was still recovering from her Grandma’s death.
Kent then placed Saintess Selene on the bed, who was still bleeding from the cut on her back.
‘Tower, what are we dealing with?’ Kent asked.

“Go on,” Saintess Selene prompted, already guessing where he was headed yet still wanting to hear it.
“You would have to take the bath… naked. But don’t worry, Master, I won’t do anything weird to your body, I promise. I just want to cure you,” Kent said earnestly.
“Okay. I trust you won’t have any weird ideas,” Saintess Selene replied, though a part of her hesitated.
Why?
Because, at this very moment, she wasn’t in the right mindset. She had always prided herself on being someone who didn’t need anyone. However, when faced with life and death, she found herself relying on a man she had never truly acknowledged.
This made her start rethinking everything she believed in. Her cold and aloof personality suddenly seemed to have done her no real good.
But thankfully, she was alive, and she could fight another day. For now, though, she had to heal and to do so, she would have to strip naked before her disciple—a man who had already set his sights on her.
Kent entered the bathroom and filled the tub with water. He then tossed the herbs the tower had suggested into the tub before blinking back into the room.
“I will remove your clothes now, Master,” Kent said before loosening the dress covering Saintess Selene’s body.
Soon, the last piece of clothing fell. Kent admired the voluptuous body before him and whistled.
“Although I said I wouldn’t do anything weird, looking at your body, I kind of want to explore it. You wouldn’t mind, would you?” Kent teased.
“If you do anything weird, I will cut your hands off,” Saintess Selene commented, her face growing hot.
The body she had been hiding for many years was now fully exposed in front of her one and only shameless disciple, who had promised to make her call him “Master.” Instead, he was seeing everything under rather anticlimactic circumstances, to say the least.
“Let’s go,” Kent said, taking her in a princess carry and walking toward the bathroom. Once inside, he placed her in the bath, submerging her entire body except for her head in the water.
“Things will get hot, but endure. The moment the poison is out, your wounds will heal,” Kent said before summoning his alchemy flame.
He began heating the bath with his alchemy flame.
Soon, the water grew hot and began exuding intense vapour. Saintess Selene, seated in the bath, felt the poison in her body being expelled through the cut on her back.
Most of the poison was gone thirty minutes later, but the water was now boiling. Though she could withstand it, for some reason, she felt an intense heat invade her body and work its way through her system.
An hour later, her eyes grew drowsy, and soon, she lost consciousness.
Two hours later, Kent brought her out of the bath and used a towel to dry her skin. He then carried her to her bed and gently laid her down.
But he didn’t immediately cover her. Kent pressed his palm on the wound on her back, which was finally healing.
The [Blood Void Flame] entered the wound, repairing the damaged tissues. The process took a few minutes before he stopped.
He then scanned her body, his eyes lingering on her perfectly round, soft ass.

A gentle slap landed on it, making it jiggle. Kent smiled at the sight, watching the subtle ripple under his touch, and made a mental note.
“I’ll tap that soon,” he murmured, covering her with a blanket before leaving the room. He had to find out who attacked her and why.
If the answer had anything to do with the Ashland Family, he would visit them, even if the odds were stacked against him.
Little did he know, a similar fate had already befallen the Ashland Family. Chaos engulfed their estate overnight, and by daybreak, their entire world had turned upside down.
Kent exited the room and headed to the mansion where Cynthia resided. She was the best person to answer his questions.
After he left, Saintess Selene, who was supposed to be sleeping, brushed her hand against the spot on her backside where Kent had slapped her.
“Mmmh…”
A few seconds later, a moan she had been suppressing escaped her lips. Her face flushed beet red as she adjusted her position, ensuring her shameless disciple wouldn’t return to land yet another slap.
She would wake up five days later, and from that moment on, she would realize that holding back wouldn’t work. So, she might as well give in to him.
